Nintendo had a good reason to not buy Alphadream; the reason why Alphadream went out of business in the first place is because they had taken up a lot of debt while developing Dream Team, and the following games didn't do well enough. This worsened to the point that they needed help from Nintendo EPD to develop the remakes. So Nintendo decided to not buy Alphadream to avoid getting their debt, and instead opted to hire most of Alphadreams development team into their own divisions. Most of Alphadream's team now works for Nintendo EPD and Monolithsoft!
@@ShaneMGD Also the reason why Nintendo does own most of their close partners (Take this with a grain of salt because this is more of a theory) is because of 2 reasons. 1 is that they want their partners to have some level of freedom. Like if they want to develop a game for the PlayStation or even for phones. For instance, you may know Camelot Games for creating the Mario Tennis & Golf series (also creating Waluigi) but what you didn't know is that they teamed up with Capcom to create their own golf game. And that was just one example there are many more of this. 2 is that there are Anti-Monopoly laws in Japan so if they want to buy a smaller company then they need to choose wisely, so they can't be buying companies all willy nilly.
Honestly I’m so excited for Brothership, Dream Team was my favorite in the series, but Brothership has the potential to be even better! I’m so glad they got the original devs back to help make it!
I will give The remakes and Paper Jam this, they by far have the best and most interesting iterations of the Koopalings. Having them be the forefront of an actual story where they show off their personality through dialogue let them shine, not to mention actually see their dynamics between each other and Jr.
Another problem I noticed in the Bowser’s inside Story remake is that certain cutscenes look like they were extremely rushed, like when Bowser pulls out the Giga Carrot, he just stares at the screen for 10 seconds before the cutscene progresses, which looks very awkward. The same thing happens right after you finish the minigame for eating the Giga Carrot, where it shows Bowser and Wiggler awkwardly staring at each other for 10 seconds before the cutscene progresses. Also, in the Energy Hold when Mario and Luigi go into the sealed door after getting all of the Star panels and they see Wisdurm, the music abruptly resets even though it was still playing. In the original version, the music stopped for a moment when they saw Wisdurm and THEN it reset, which made a lot more sense for the music to reset in that version.

The Superstar Sags Remake kind of picks and chooses which character designs they change and which they keep, which I don’t like, like the fat Koopas just being big Koopas and the Sprout Koopas just having a normal Koopa physique even though their Dry Bones still look like they used to… and no Boney Kong, that’s a crime

I tend to look on the positive side with BIS DX. I love the new Fawful sprites (marking both of his major appearances in the modern style at the time), and the glow-up to his final castle was crazy. It went from "still the palette of Peach's Castle just with Fawful faces" to "Fawful completely remodeled the place making it feel cold and industrial". I know how it feels, as I thought it was dumb to make a remake of a game you can already play on 3DS, however, after the bankruptcy, I have gained a new perspective about this game. As the last Mario and Luigi game for 3DS, this was their last opportunity to faithfully recreate one of the best and probably one of their favorite Mario and Luig games! It couldn't come out on Switch because Bowser's Inside Story used so many of the unique features on the original DS that if it came out it would be either unfaithful or kinda strange. They also couldn't afford the time or money to make a new game, but in the time it took them to make this remake, they made a whole story dedicated to Bowser Jr. and this is the only time we ever see him as the main protagonist in a story!
@nickk3077 I get your point, but like I said in the video I just think some key features I loved about the original were butchered in the remake such as the Dr. Toadly office scene. Alpha Dream has been bleeding money after Dream Team costed so much to make and didn’t being back enough profits so it makes sense they would try to focus on making the game have a wider appeal and cheaper assets.
I'm a huge fan of the "Mario & Luigi" games, and while I agree that "Paper Jam" was the weaker one of the series, I still think it's pretty good. I think the reason why it was so bland compared to the others is because Nintendo wanted to focus on the crossover idea of the 2 different Mario RPG game, and keep it in between the 2 different Mushroom Kingdoms. I'm sure we all wanted to see Paper Fawful and a 3D Dimentio, but I think having the 2 Bowsers combine their armies was a good call so that they wouldn't have to focus on creating a whole bunch of new enemies that have never even been seen before randomly appear.

I 100% respect your opinion as a M&L fan myself. But I just think both remakes look so cheap and generic compared visual-wise compared to the originals and even with Dream Team.
The assets are so low poly it boils down to a a smudge mess
Bruh that’s just unfathomable to me. Maybe the BIS story remake but the super star saga remake is literally gorgeous and arguably the best looking game in the series
I love Mario & Luigi too but relax on the fe hate lol. Those are tactics games
Paper jam is missed potential, it could’ve been so much better :(
I thought paper jam was good
Same
I had fun playing it
I liked paper jam
Bro really doesn’t like Fire Emblem. As a fan of both… uncalled for :/
Hey, to each their own 🙏
@@ShaneMGD I will say, I agree that battling in M&L is a lot more fun, it’s just that those individual fights aren’t the main appeal to FE to answer that joke question lol
@Hamantha hahaha I get it no worries
Lol
"Preaching my love for Mario & Luigi" *spends half the video complaining about paper mario sticker star* 🤨
@@unalives what's your point 😂? the topic was relevant to the whole video
