I like how the new cannon treated Pantora over legends, in the old legends Chuchi was ousted from the senate, papanoida's daughter took over and promptly signed the declaration of 2k, leading to the empire full on expelling Pantora from the empire. This was even worse than an occupation as Pantora needed the trade, cue famine and people turning to crime to survive.

Also, I liked her. She was a good person. That's a special trait, particularly since she's a senator. People with power have difficulty keeping themselves good.
