It’s so true I am studying sociology minor in management and certificate in marketing management and I’m happy I’m waiting to do a brand new graduate digital marketing course coming to the college in the fall!
Hey Justas, I’m from Peru but I’m living in Sydney, Australia. This year has been one of the difficult ones, because I still have not decided what to do, I’m very interested in digital and graphic design, I would like to know if there is any difference in what you mention in your video, as you can read I’m a bit lost and searching, what do you recommmend me to do? Go to college or take courses? Thank you :)
Well if you are not sure what to do I would suggest to take courses and see how it goes and if you like it. Because if you do, there is not many reasons to go to college. You can take a year to figure out what you want to do before going to uni and decide what is best for you
Hey.. I already have a bachelor's degree BBA in marketing and now for Masters I was thinking of going to Regent's University for MSc in digital marketing and analytics..They have updated the course last year..should I go for it?
I’ve been in marketing for 12 years working for a fortune 200 company ... I don’t have a college degree and I learned everything on the job ... I am going back to get my degree in digital marketing because you hit a wall and can’t get promoted anymore or can’t even apply for a new job since they all need a bs degree ...
I never understood this. Why would they require you to have a degree when you have that much experience behind your back? What's the point? They will know that you can sit in a class for 8 hours a day and do slideshows...
Justas Vee Ever heard of job level and pay rate? Each job level has a pay rate attached to it ... And it’s linked to your degree and education not just your work experience so it boils down to: Degree = more money ... I encourage everyone to get a degree and continue learning rather than make videos telling pol this and that degree is not worth it, the more you invest in yourself the better and the only way to do it is through continued learning ... So is a degree in marketing or digital media worth it? Yes it is plus you’re too young to be giving ppl professional advice
Man, I get the struggle. I'm in the 1st year and already thinking about dropping out. Until now I have learned more useful info from books and the internet (free). In the Degree, I have a ton of useless stuff most of the time. I only see value in 2 or 3 classes at the most others are pretty garbage. +A ton of students are just there because they want a job and I'm always looking to learn more about marketing but some of the subjects are accounting and really stupid stuff if you want just to do marketing and not the rest...
Best way is to learn create your own website/blog page for some product using free templates. Watch videos and apply all the marketing tools available on internet to promote your stuff online. Do free certification courses. Make your online portfolio to get a job.Voila!
Well it is very tough to suggest since I only went to one university and have no idea how digital marketing is taught in other ones. Thus, in this case you would need to use google to find reviews of universities in your area.
Im going to canada for bussines marketing in canada 2 years i found it easier for me and enjoyable to get to the digital world what do u think Bussies marketing have low on advertising but it has with price distribution creating and so on
Well it depends on many things. However, I Don't know much about these programmes. But if you are going to be paying a lot of money for it. Just get any other only course for cheeper, because you are still going to be studying online.
As an Indian who has worked as a non technical project coordinator for 2 years and a client servicing executive for 1 year in a mainline advertising agency, I plan on coming to Canada for a 2 year Post graduation certificate program in digital marketing. How realistic is it to expect an entry level job right after my course? P.S I don't plan on continuing to work in client servicing/business development/non technical project coordination but, instead get a job on the basis of what is taught in course. Is it advisable to make the move?
Hello Justas! Which of the school subjects you studied to apply on marketer into the university? I am the Russian student and I wanna go to USA colleges. Also, please tell me what language is better to study this school subjects: in english or in russian?
Just look at any of the top universities curriculum and you will see the most popular courses since it is too many to name them all 😅However, I think the better option would be to study in english.
I want to do 1 year diploma in college . But can’t take decision which program will be best for online program . Can you give me any suggestions? Which course is best ? Social media marketing or Business and digital marketing management?
Hi Justas, how are you? Congrats for your videos! I would like to ask you if you know any master or online course about marketing and digital marketing. I have background in communication and journalism and I am quite familiar with marketing and digital marketing but I would like to get a certificate to start to look for jobs. I don't want to go to uni, I just want to take an useful and good course that can help me to achieve my professional goals. Thanks!
I would say that Udemy offers many great courses that can be very helpful, also Google certificates are for free, so you can try those. However, if you are ok with spending some money you can go with Facebook Blueprint, this one is really tough. However, employers really appreciate it and it will help you to stand out in the crowd, since not many has it.
Thank you for this very informative video. I’m going to start a boot camp for digital marketing through Berkeley University Extension. Have you heard of these boot camps, if you have what are your thoughts? Thank you

Soo i'm a high school student in Dubai (UAE), yet to give my final exams this year..so would be joining university by this September... [Digital marketing, HR, tourism&hospitality, Small business startups] I'm thinking of choosing digital marketing, but ain't sure of the other one..can you suggest which one would be good with it please? 🥲
I have done MBA in marketing from Pakistan. I live in USA a university is offering a course in digital marketing 4 months long with portfolio development at the end. Should i go for it? Please suggest 😊
Yeah I think this is a great opportunity since they will be helping you to build up your portfolio which will definetly come in handy when you will be looking for jobs.
Well I still think that's overprices, unless they are helping you to build your portoflio and find a job. If not you can probably find similar courses on Udemy for 12$
It could make it look better, but is it really worth it? For example, in the area that I live in I haven't seen any company that would require you to have masters degree.
The master degree is only good for the company who's hiring... Some value it but others don't really care. But as Justas said building aporfolio is key. Just think about it... Companies want marketers who get results if they have 5 masters and can't effectivly run campaings or do wtv is on the job description they can just Wire someone else who already does it well.

Hello !! I have 5 years experience in IT field and I quit. Right now planning to change my career to digital marketing which is irrelevant to my IT experience. So if I do some online courses and certification in INDIA will it be beneficial? Or if I do diploma courses about digital marketing in Canada that will be usefull?? Pls let me and confused to take which path since I don't have experience in digital marketing at all and now i have lots of interest in digital marketing. I do have MBA part time and completed in INDIA. Based upon my background qualification, am i eligible for diploma digital marketing courses in CANADA? Will they allow me to take it from any university in canada? please do let me know all my questions.
well the google certificate alone won't get you a job, but it shows that you know that stuff. Regarding the Canada stuff I can't really answer since I am living in europe so many things are different there.
As I am from india and gonna move to canada for study. Im MBA here and should I go for Management diploma or Digital marketing diploma or degree, if any
Well it is tough for me to suggest one or other, since it all depends on you and what are your interests. But I would say that digital mareketing is a more promising field. In my country where I live there are many people with management degrees but they still work in marketing or other fields, since they weren't able to find a job in their field.
Thanks for your comment and thanks for asking this. Well, in my opinion, the best way to gain some knowledge and experience in digital marketing is by actually doing stuff. To do that there is an app called ACADIUM (they also have a website). But basically what they allow you to do is to create a profile and finish some basic digital marketing courses, which then allows you to apply as an apprentice in real businesses that are looking for someone who can help them out with their digital marketing campaigns or social media. So by spending 5 to 10 hours a week you can have real-world experience and help someone grow their business and be your mentor. I think this is a really good option. However, if you want to have some free structured courses, you can always finish courses that are offered by Google, Facebook, Bing, Hubspot, etc. they offer their learning platforms with free courses for people that are preparing to take their certification tests, but that doesn't mean you have to take the test, you can only finish the courses and gain some knowledge. Also, Udemy is a great option for cheap digital marketing courses and I bet there is everything that you need to become a digital marketing specialist in there. Lastly, if you are interested in, let's say, Google courses, you can check my video that I did on Google Certification. I think this is a good start since it introduces you to the basics of PPC and digital marketing terms.
Closely related but - do you share the same views about studying Business and Marketing in uni? Cause I'm taking a BA in this course but thinking of dropping out soon.
Well yeah, cause you should ask yourself why are you studying? Is it just for the paper? If so, then it's not worth it. Is it because your parents want you to study? Again, if yes, then you should quit. But if you are studying for the overall experience think about it. Because I can't answer this for you cause I don't know the whole situation. But if you think it is not worth it, don't waste your time. Because I can guarantee that you will be able to find a job in marketing or another business field without a degree. Nowadays many companies don't require you to have any degree. Nevertheless, there are some, so weigh all options.
