Last time out to the pinnacles was when the Ridgecrest earthquake hit... went to see these after checking out the fault break down the road. Neat area. Was really cool to see huge boulders in the road near fish rocks
They mine chemicals out of Searles dry like, that is why all the railcars. The plaque at the entrance off 178 for the Searles wagon road was mine from 2000.

What brand is that pop-up camper on your truck!?
It's a one off that we found used in southern California. It's like an alucab and a four-wheel camper shell
