  • Apple's iPhone 15 Pro Max is here, and simply put, when it comes to photographic performance, this thing is a beast. Amid the array of new features and the embrace of USB-C, the new iPhone's camera updates are what stands out as the most compelling new feature.
    So far, it checks out as the best camera ever placed in an iPhone, especially with a 5x telephoto lens, an improved stabilization system and an automatic portrait mode that lives up to its name.

    Good idea but next time please make it clear which footage was shot with iphone by putting captions or something.

      I agree with you, but I think in their mind when when went split-screen that was their way of saying ‘this is a professional camera, and the other small part is the iPhone’. I think the fact that they were so close visually is a point for the iPhone.

    • @360vroomers
      @360vroomers ปีที่แล้ว +13

      @@itsajduh still, it’s very confusing. Like the opening shots - seeing the thumbnail and title I might think they are from the iPhone. It’s misleading to viewers.

      The problem is that there is a subtitle, almost imperceptible, that you can't even read on a 65-inch TV. The producer of this video is deliberately misleading the audience.

      It shows that although the new iPhone is very good it still has a long way to go before it even tries to compete with pro cameras. Especially as half the video was a Sony mirrorless

      Plus the biggest problem with phone cameras, is the users holding the phone vertically when filming.

    All of the footage from this review should have been from the iPhone 15. You're literally reviewing/testing its camera, yet the bulk of the footage is from a different camera... denoted with a barely-legible watermark, which I didn't even spot until I was halfway through the video. I was blown away up until that point... and afterwards, my only thought was, "This review is completely worthless."

    Whoever filmed the b roll is really good. However for a review video only consisting of 10% of the actual camera that’s so wrong. Good cinematography but totally missed the assignment. At least mention the other camera you’re using in the description

    The most interesting thing about this video is how the footage from whatever camera is being used to film this blows the iPhone away in everything, and it's probably not much more expensive. I was enjoying the video until I saw the incredibly tiny text at the bottom of the screen that reads: "SHOT ON PROFESSIONAL CAMERA" ... when writing an iPhone 15 Pro Max Review it would be wise to shoot all footage on said iPhone. As it currently stands, this video is very misleading and I don't appreciate been mislead into thinking things like the stunning video footage was shot on this iPhone. As such, I'd be doing my fellow TH-camrs a disservice by not reporting the video as misleading. This video is a beautiful lie.

    This is a real review. I'm so tired of hearing over and over again the same specs info that we can easily find on Apple's website. Just show us how it is in real life. The true low light capabilities, instead of the 2x better performance in low light. Fantastic job!!!
    It's nice to see also how much behind smartphone cameras are when compared to a real mirrorless camera and lens.

    • @htp1146
      @htp1146 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mirrorless cameras need a lot of post optimization, they didn't do it with the iPhone despite that would have been possible. But instead they showed many shaky, narrow portrait and strange angle shots with the iphone, while they showed nicely composed and graded landscape shots with the mirrorless 🤷‍♂ so much about "nice to see".
      It would have been interesting to see the real difference while shooting the same scene with each camera and post processing each accordingly.

      @@htp1146 you can't really think a cell phone is even in the same ballpark as a full frame camera....you need to get your eyes checked if you do. Even in perfect light with a non moving subject any crop will make the cell pic fall apart fast. Computational stuff can only overcome so much physics.

The quality of footage from 'Professional Camera' is amazing and honestly, I feel it makes the iPhone footage look bad in respect. I was amazed at how clean some passages were only to be disheartened it did not come from the iPhone. I do agree that this should have been iPhone focused and other camera footage be secondary or non-existent in this video. Great job otherwise and the narration gives us more than the video so nicely done.
