I bought the meteor for price and ease of keeping clean. Lovely ride on little roads and a take anywhere facility even on unpaved terrain. I am in my 60's and had a break from a Can Am period. The Enfield is far more enjoyable to ride and manoeuvre than the Can Am and so much affordable with amazing 90mpg fuel consumption, insurance and road tax. My favourite bike to date!
I'm picking up my Classic 350 on Saturday morning. It's in Black Stealth. Blacked out with no chrome to worry about. I prefer the Classic's ergonomics and that clinched it over the Meteor for me.
Hey Mate, love you videos. No bullshit in them just your honest opinions. Im currently in Germany on vacation from Australia and plan to rent a bike and do some riding. If only for a few days. Keep it twisted, alles bestens! Adam
Very good comparison of two great bikes. You are right about the time it takes to maintain chrome. My old bike was Honda Shadow with chrome spoked rims. My Meteor 350 is the yellow one like you reviewed. I just live the blacked out motor and wheels. The only thing I ever have to do is a quick wipe down and a once over on the yellow stripes on the wheels.
Hi Miles, 2 weekse ago I bought a meteor 350 (2nd hand) and so far I love it. Already drove about 700km with it (fun and to work). The reason I chose this bike over the Hunter and the classic was the seating position, this one felt the best. Nice light and nimble. My fuel consumption is about 33km a litre. Also with less Chrome its easier to clean and I dont feel too bad riding in bad weather. Cheers😁👍
I struggled with this same decision just a couple of weeks ago. Both are great bikes, however I ended up choosing the Classic 350 (also in Stealth Black). Part of my decision was made because the Meteor came stock with what I felt was a rather cheap feeling heel-toe shifter while the Classic 350 had a standard shifter. I did end up having the dealer move the shifter up a notch as I thought it was a little to low for my big left foot. I am super happy with my decision and am loving this "underpowered" bike.
I think to buy the Meteor 350 in red just for fun to customize to a nice cruise bike. On TH-cam are view cool examples of customize Meteor. There are cool parts on the markt to convert the Meteor to that Cruiser. I like the magic feeling of the single engine.
I've had a Meteor for a couple of years and still like it. I don't like modern retro styling myself, but for people who do , the Classic seems a more legit bike in that it isn't trying to be something it isn't. The Meteor is a very comfortable commuter and back roads bike, not really a cruiser per se in my opinion. Anyway both are extremely economical and great bargains.
the meteor has me very tempted as a newbie rider, not just because of the price but also because the beautiful colors they come with but measuring 1.90m I'm always worried it would feel small for me, I heard people say cruisers tend to have that issue
Owner of a redchrome Classic350, riding a bike with classic looks and performance in traffic brings the advantage commutters don't expect them to be fast and act accordingly. The seem to keep proper distance behind me and overtake gentle and quite often a filmer on the passenger seat and thumbs up. IMO... on a bike which looks recent like the Meteor or Scram411 it is expected to keep up with traffic and this is where I noticed a less patient surrounding and reviews these models are underpowered. I think the Classic could be classified as a chopper style and low speed is more accepted where a "normal bike owner" feels more being hunted. Must be all the chrome on my Classic350 I guess... In this point of view it is highway capeable. I like my redchrome quite a bit, but if I have seen the Bullet next to mine in the showroom I might have chosen the Bullet. The seat seems much more comfortable and well thought out. I might buy a Bullet seat with a brown cover to match the redchrome. This Classic you showed should look really well with a Bullet seat. Regards, Erik
@@FreeMilesMC I had a sit on a Bullet and it felt very nice. I do use the Cruiser seat on my cruiser but the Bullet seat is much thicker vs the original Classic seat. I realised this just recently. The Bullet has been like this for decades for a reason...
Meteor has more plastic parts than Classic does. But that is a trade between weight and style. I preferred style and chose a Classic. You are more than right by saying Classic is not the bike for long rides. When comfortable and sustainable top cruising speed is around 85-90 km/h, it's not for touring. Or then You have to have a lot of time to spend moving around.
"Fun bike" That is the very definition of the Classic 350. Loving mine. Wouldn't swap it for anything ... well maybe the Classic 650 whenever it comes out! Signals Marsh Grey has no chrome so no polishing for me!
Here again a link to the new merch: free-miles-mc.myspreadshop.de/männer+t-shirts?q=P24 For anyone who wants a shirt with out the Mc lettering something like that is in the works and will be out in the next few days
Also let it be known Miles drives every motorcycle like a Kraftwerk album: everything is AUTOBAHN haha, man my girlfriend saw those shots of you riding my Super Meteor and she went holy shit thats fast hahaha
You're gigantically tall, do you not find the Meteor a little small? The Classic is authentically sized for its style but the Meteor seems a little toylike compared to big cruisers.
Yes but it’s still comfortable. Wich is very nice because the majority of bikes with low hp and cc are very small they are only a few 125 cc bikes I can even sit on at all and also many off the a2 bikes are similar so I am very happy that there is a small bike that fits
I don't consider these bikes suited for a 360 degree usage here in europe. Can't even keep highway speed, getting passed by scooters, can barely overtake anything: my 150cc scooter from 20y ago was faster. The engine is too underpowered. Would get at least the 400, or for just a little more the 400 Triumph line. In my view, a motorcycle has to be AT LEAST able to keep up with traffic, anywhere. Getting passed by cars is dangerous.
No I bought a 500cc classic ...too many vibes ...the 350 s with the J series engine is much nicer to ride ....one very important point is that the Meteor has Tubeless wheels

Had my classic for 17 months. Done over 10,000 miles. Long trips and short. Fantastic bike! It's a signals so there's no chrome either.
I absolutely love the Classic chrome design. Currently saving my pennies to get one by Christmas ❤
I fixed this question...I bought one of each!! Both are different. I love both. Meteor in Brown, Classic is Red/Chrome. I wouldn't give up either one.
Nice review, Just got a new meteor 350, been riding 45 years and it's time to get something a bit more manageable, currently running it in, love it
Love my Classic, but I agree on that riding position. On meteor looks more comfortable for longer rides.
Bike Worlds Meteor 350 trials build is SO cool. I’d pick the Meteor
I would love to make a build like that myself ☺️
Your descriptions allowed one to get a feel for bikes. Thanks.

Nice comparison. Would go for the Meteor, but the Classic is also great.
Miles its so cool seeing you reviewing more RE bikes, they are amazing for the price!! LET IT BE KNOWN hehe
I bought a Meteor in June find it suits me for my needs , great little bike , blacked out version .
i would like to hear your opinion on the hunter 350. great review !
As soon as i get my hands on one ☺️
Thanks nicely explained

And dont forget about the new colours this year with the spoke wheels on the Meteor 350 they are amazing!!!
These bikes are great as second bikes just to go village hopping all day, stay away from busy roads and they’re ideal.

With pillion which is comfortable??

Actually it’s fine sice wise I was comfortable at 195

Nice Mic placement 😂
Can't believe RE are stopping the Classic 350 Chrome red. The new colours are awful.
They've ruined the signals edition as well 😭
I've tried talking with a wooden spoon instead of a microphone but I still don't sound German!
14K😎
The winer is the Bullet 😅

Meteor is an ultra light cruiser. That is what Old Man Ronin called his Meteor.
Meteor is best...

Old bullet 500 beats em both
I actually want to try this one when I get the chance
If you enjoy vibration.

With due respect, pls do away with the ladles, spoons etc....looks totally out of place and unnecessary .... Otherwise a very sensible review....
i like it❤
I actually would prefer a fork.
What's your height?
I am 6.5 thats why the bike looks a Bit small
@@FreeMilesMC Thanks for the reply mate! My height is 6.1. Which bike will suit me more classic or meteor?
@ashiqueelahi2909 height wise both are good really Test Drive them as the difference comes down to feel
