Camera is good enough for normal picture taking . I don't think you should buy any foldable phone if pictures are what someone is concerned with to start. But other than that mine has been great.
I am looking forward to see what Motorola has to offer later this year. The two things I want to see on this year’s Razr+ is a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor and better water resistance.

I've had my Motorola Razr Plus since it dropped and unfortunately I had to get the black because AT&t didn't have the Viva magenta which is the one I really wanted and I must say I have quite a few phones in my arsenal and this is definitely one of my favorite phones to use I highly recommend it and it's definitely held up since I've had it no issues no problems whatsoever and battery life is really good Make it through a day easy and I'm a heavy user thanks for the video my friend I really enjoy your content keep up the good work. The only issue I have is the OS updates their year behind.
I also have att and had to get the black and hate the frosted glass instead of the vegan leather on the magenta that leather gives you such a good grip vs the slippery on the frosted glass
So I’ve had the Z Flip 4 in the past as my entry into foldable phones, I liked it but it seemed bulky. I’m back on an iPhone 15 Pro Max and over here eyeing the Motorola Razr because of the nostalgia of the name. My first phone was a V3C Razr and now I really want another Razr
I am curious I am using an IPhone 15 Pro Max right now I used to have a ZFlip5 but it was way too narrow for me to use is this the same width as my iPhone or is it just as narrow as the ZFlip which is comically narrow and in my opinion unusable
It's definitely a cool looking phone and maybe if I wasn't a contractor and so I was in not such clean places all the time I would get it but with the way I'm around dust and stuff it's just not practical to have a folding phone but it definitely is a cool looking phone
questions: do you need a motorola account? or can I just skip it and use only my google account for apps / sign in? Can you get a solid day out of this? How's cellular reception vs the other phones you daily?
I absolutely love the look of this phone. If i wasn’t so locked in to apples ecosystem already (AirPods, Watch, iPad, and iPhone) I’d consider switching… but i don’t thing any of my other products would work with it.
The only problem I got with mine is it only has 8gb of ram and constantly closes apps to save memory, the new model needs a definite bump in memory but all in all it's a great phone.
And I’m like thinking about it. What kept me off from Androids was the charger port that for some reason are always prone to get damaged. Which is why I end up with iPhone ever since, using the same phone for 4 years and don’t have a problem.
Can't decide to get razr+ or the standard razr. I'm not sure that I really need the outside screen, but the tiny screen on the standard seems not near as useful. Also, I could probably wait a month and get the new standard razr 2024 for the same current price as the razr+ 2023. argh
I just bought the new Moto RAZR 50 Ultra today on an official pre-sale, and the price was on the 512gig version. 450 usd beliw the official price. This was only for certain members though. Got the blue one👍
I have the non plus model and love it. I like not have a larger outer display...for me it suits my needs. The few options that the outer display offers, is all i need. Plus i got it for $149.99...😅
I have one of the 40s as well and picked it up cheap a couple of months ago, though not as cheap as you. I didn't want the whole glass side. I already chipped the screen cover on the secondary display and I am not careless with it. Loving it so far plus it's a pretty purple one 😂
Got a razr 2024 thought I wanted to jump on the flip smartphone bandwagon & welp that novelty wore off fast! it's just not for me, bit to heavy & thick of a device when closed & to big & long of a screen when opened, But the final straw for me was google Gemini is a NIGHTMARE at least on android 14 in the newest releases & it only works long story short about idk 40 percent of the time & assistant wont work period! when the phone is closed! (it's a big known issue,) But ya these issues & the form factor aren't for me, just fyi for anyone else it looks good online etc, but check one out do your research & make sure you really want it! My galaxy S20 & Iphone 12 though IMHO work Way better still then the razr!
I brought cheaper moto razor 50 bigger battery and fm radio then 50 ultra and it’s not worth spending the extra money for ultra 50 in humble opinion and my new moto razor 50 is better then my old Samsung flip z 5 with a bigger cover screen
looks cool but not enough ram. Ive been hesistating between a fold, flip and a razr but I think the technology is not there yet to dump a couple hundreds into it. cant wait to see where we are at in a couple years
Well you definitely won't get Android 14 on an Apple! Seriously though, I don't get why people are so concerned about A14, when my previous phone updated to it I could not see any difference. I agree with Stevealicious, the security updates are a must, but a full OS update, while nice, is not essential. If you can say specifically what A14 has that's essential, I'd love to hear it! BTW I just bought a razr 2024 (non-plus), Aug 24, came with A14. So far so good! I don't see that the plus is worth the extra money, especially with the deals carriers are offering on the standard razr - US$300 via T-Mobile.
I was really hoping that Samsung's excellent software support of 7 yrs for its foldables would light a fire under Motorola to at least bump up its support a notch or two. Sadly, this has not been the case thus far. For $700 you can get the regular 2024 razr which has the same size outer screen and similar specs. One nice thing for those on the fence between Motorola and Samsung is that the release dates are very close together so people can compare reviews before choosing which to buy.
I love my Razr+ I take two phones with me at all times. I have Razr+ and IPhone 13 mini when I travel or off work. And switch phones with both of them, to a Z Fold 5 with the s-pen and a IPhone 14 Pro Max for work and meetings. The smaller form factors of the Razr+ and IPhone 13 mini come in clutch! If I want a bigger display I’ll open my Razr+ and always get compliments and people stopping me and asking questions about it. And then when I have my Z fold 5 that also comes with it compliments as well.
I didnt update my phone for ages, and just got android 13 and then 14 immediately after (samsung). I hardly notice a different, i dont know why people love updates so much 😂
My favorite phone of all time was the magenta razor with art by ami James that was years ago.. My daughter dropped it in the bathtub given a grand baby a bath. This new one Wow, seriously looking into getting one!
I’d have to buy the flip4 on Amazon or eBay for under 300 bucks in mint condition over this. I’m not saying it’s not a good device I just trust Samsung software.
Yeah, Samsung is definitely more reliable with software, but I've seen a lot of Flip 4 screen failures over the last year or so that scare me on a used Flip 4.
Moto RAZR... outrageous you have to open the phone to use Google Assistant... since Jan '24 - still that way in May. Great idea, but someone dropped the ball on this critical function.
@@pmstirling Thanks for the info. Sadly, it is not clear if Gemini has the all the functionality of the classic voice assistant. According to Google's Info Pages: " If you switch to use Gemini ... Because of that latter statement I am still not certain if one can make calls, send texts, etc. using Gemini on A14 if the classic assistant does not work with the phone closed. Unfortunately, if one updates to A14, the classic and more functional voice assistant is completely disabled with the phone closed due to the update - all reports to date indicate. You can on the larger one. I forget which video on the device but I do show that at one point, it works well.
With careful use, the screen on mine had that issue of the thin led strip breaking in the middle, right where it folds. id avoid it folks
