Really wish you put a big disclaimer for the dragon to get back to Grace point before she despawns
Like I said, great video. I discovered something I would like to add to your guide. When you're at the palace approach edge road and your doing the dragon, try this instead of the bow. Using your Meteorite staff and firing the rock sling while the dragon walks away from you will hit every time. The arrows reach talisman may also play a part, I'm not sure. So at the very least, one shot and no lost arrows.

The bird farm is prolly my all time favorite one, since you can get there fairly early in the game, and if you are using max rune boost, the Runes per hour are ridiculous. Thanks for the comment! People need to know that the portal behind the church isn’t random. If you follow npc promps and discover D out in the wild, his quest lines will actually give you the portal location. I feel this is missed by a lot of players because so many off these videos just give you its location with no context.
@o.g.awe3785 100% Correct ✅. After progressing far enough D will send you to the bestial sanctum via the portal. Leading players directly to the portal is just in the interest of getting to a rune farming spot early on, in the event they are having trouble at their current level. I like the method of going down the hill in the blood area, climbing a tree with my horse and make my way over to the side and jumping off the back. 1st play through with extra runes medallion and gold pickle and I net over 200k runes each time. Rinse and repeat. Got my arcane to 80, strength , dex, endur, vigor to 40 each from that farm.
@evgaming9390 It’s not a bad method if you’re consistent with it, and it still works even after patch 1.10.0; released a video just after this one covering all the glitches that work and the math behind them. After testing them all the Bird Farm generates more Runes Per Hour (RPH) than any of the jump glitches in Mogwyn’s Palace (with Golden Scarab and Fowl foot). There is one jump glitch however, that beats the bird farm in RPH, by 100k per hour, which is the Portal Jump in the Town of Ordinia. @mid40sgamer76 The only issue with the bird farm is you lose time when you run out of arrows even if you buy a lot of them and yes they do get boring.
The big dragon farm definitely works. I leveled to about 192 using the dragon method only. He's still there. If it's not working for someone they're doing it wrong. Thanks, helpful video!

@@f8tesvids548 you can respawn the dragon if you quickly rest at the nearby grace, it's a pretty risky farming as you may not be able to reach the grace on time, the mohgwyn bird farming method is the best for early players.

@@f8tesvids548Apparently if you rest at the nearby site of grace before it fully despawns, it'll remain there for you to continue farming runes from it. If it disappears before you rest, then yeah, it'll be gone forever.
@f8tesvids548 if you do it fast enough you can ride torrent back to the site of grace next to the fort and rest, if you're fast enough it'll respawn the dragon

These games are typically intimidating when you first get into them, and once you get to the point where you aren’t afraid to die every 10 feet they become somewhat addicting to play. Rune farming locations take the fear of Death and they wash it away. If you can get 100k runes quickly….when you die and lose Runes…it’s trivial. I got 274000 runes doing the ball farm. I run down on horse and once it spawns I walk along the edge of cliff and once it speeds up, boost along edge and stop. Once you hear it break press select on console and bring up nap and spawn on grace and rinse and repeat. You save maybe 7 seconds per run.
Just wait till it requires 3.4 Million runes to level up once

Great Video. I have a Tip. At the side of grace Lenne‘s Rise: After the Ball in Fallen, open the map and porting back to the side of grace. It‘s faster than riding back.

Excellent video thank you - I recently bought Elden Ring, with some trepidation given I am no a fan of souls games - and didnt enjoy the dark souls remaster. But this game plays slightly differently in that you can go away and level up and earn the right to beat the next boss.
I am still in the early levels - I say this having made level 45 after farming the ball area. But I am working my way up to the bird and that area when I need more levels to suit my build.
@DS 1969 Thanks for this comment, it means a lot. I understand the wariness to play souls like games, but you are 100% right that Elden Ring is slightly different in terms of running off to other areas if you get a bit bottle necked. Once you hit the bird farm it’s smooth sailing as far as levels are concerned (and don’t forget soap and preserving boulaces if you’re going after the scarab since scarlet rot is the most frustrating DOT in the game).
Elden Ring has been one of the most rewarding games I’ve played over the last few years…it’s hard but it’s fair too in many respects.
Also if you’re going to try for the dragon exploit after the ball farm, I put a video on the channel a while back on how to hard save your game (so to speak) incase you mess it up.

what i am doing for runes while starting out is making a +9 reduvia and just kill that elder dragon up until 60 arcana, than i kill those rot knights for the scarab and than just until i am satisfied with the levels i have to kill the first boss (apart from the rot knights of course)

@matthewhatch263 Magnus the Beast Claw's invasion sign is in the northeastern part of Writheblood Ruins in Altus Plateau. The dragon farm glitch works great but if you're worried about not making it to the grace fast enough get the dragons health just low enough for another bleed to kill it but use poison instead and wait at the grace till you see the death animation and sit. Ten hits with a level one claw is all you need to proc poison.

@ben_scotty_7945 It happens brother. You miss time getting back to the site of grace and it won’t respawn. In the future you can upload your saved data to the cloud, and then if you F up again you can just download that saved data back to your console and give it another shot. @joshwalkowicz Thanks for the comment Josh! So one of the easiest ways is to grab some “Preserving Boluses” from one of the merchants in Caelid (it helps to have soap as well). The preserving boluses are a life saver for that first section and the boss fight since the clean-rot knights infect you with rot as well. You could also use a dagger with quick step on it to just quickly dash through the rot. Whatever method you chose should make it fairly easy to accomplish. Rot is literally the worst, and it gets way worse in later areas of the game, especially if you follow Malificents Questline. Hope that helps. Great guide, i have used all the methods you showed with a few little difference whereas i use a staff with rock sling on the bird not as good as yours but i am rubbish with a bow.
Using the sword i equip the golden medallion and eat a golden foul foot then run down to rock outcrop that has a silver like mark, i stand slightly to the left of it and do 1 swing of the sword run back rest and repeat, by not continuing on like you do to hit again further down saves time so i am getting 90K plus runes for 1 swing, i used 3 gold foul feet which last 3 minutes each and hit 3.6 million so approx 1.2 million each multiply by 20 then you can do 14 million an hour.

@slotman7321 The Meteorite staff and Rock sling are probably one of my favorite caster weapons of all time in the game. Practical, quick casting, and the stun is amazing. Never used it on the bird, but I will give it a shot! I typically don’t run down the hill, and I just hit the sight of Grace go to the small outcropping and swing. The best early game farm is the big dragon. Just turn off the music, wait for the roar then the twitch while on torrent and leg it up to the grace before he disappears. Once you have Stormhill castle done, do Varre Quest, and a fast way to get a maidens blood is to kill the eyeball eating maiden in weeping peninsula beside the grace point at the bridge. Farming ingredients for gold feet is a waste o time., time better spent just killing the big chicken. I got the platinum in 13. 40 hours yesterday on PS5, Hoping to do it even faster on my PS4 version when I get the time

That being said the dragon is the go to, then Varré quest, and it’s actually a quicker process than most realize. Dumb question, I did the white dragon and got paid great. But when I went back its gone, is that for good or will it reset after going to the grace?
+Golden Spudlet No question is a dumb question. So the trick to the dragon is that once you kill it, you need to race back to the site of grace before it disappears completely, which gives you the Runes, but tricks the game into thinking that it hasn’t been killed. So when you exit the site of Grace, the dragon is still there. If you kill the Dragon and receive the Runes along with the 5 dragon hearts, it’s dead for good (or the entire play through). Sorry for the bad news, however in the future, there is a way to save the game and then reload it when you make a mistake. I made a video a while back that explains how to do it. What minimum requirements are there to weild a bow that can hit it?
@yitzchalfari2426 For the Longbow it’s 9 Str and 14 Dex, and for the Shortbow it’s 8 Str and 10 Dex I believe. Hope that helps. Good Hunting out there!

@Saabmin33 Hey again Saab. So if you talked to Varré in any capacity earlier in your play-through; after defeating Godrick he’ll be gone from his original spot, and there should be a message on the ground sending you to the Rose Church. If you need a really detailed step by step Varré Guide, I put one on the channel a while back. But you shouldn’t be locked out of his quest (unless you kill him, killing him locks you out). I can’t get past the scarlet rot. I have preserving bolused that I use but I still end up dying. Do I need the scarab?
@hotdogstudios The scarab is an important tool when you’re looking to really add a boost to you’re Rune count, making it an important tool of the trade around the Mid Game. I typically grab it before heading over to Mogwyn’s palace, to really pile on the Runes for the Bird farm. It’s not necessary for the Ball Farm or the Dragon Exploit, I just like covering all the Numbers for those who are curious, since I’m not a fan of the scammy 100 Million Runes per minute Click bait. So if you’re just starting out farming and you’re doing the ball or the Dragon, you don’t need the scarab.
If you’re still having problems with the rot, there are a couple options.
The quickest way is to grab a dagger with “quick step” on it and just quick step through the rot.
The more drawn out approach is to level some more, since as you level your resistances increase giving you the ability to get through the Rot easier. (Remember not to roll through the rot, since it speeds up the status effect bar).

@pinoykusinaatpanaderia7026 The weapon used for the Hill Farm is the Sacred Relic Sword (which is found at the end of the game). Some alternate weapons you can use are Rahdans Swords or Dragons Rot Breath works pretty good on the Hill. There’s a 2024 video on the channel about Rune Farming as well. The rolling rock one doesn't work or maybe am doing it wrong i Dodge the rock go back to top check and runes don't increase
+unreal aim Hmmm, try dodging the ball and observing it falling off the cliff, making sure it falls off. How it works is, technically the ball is an enemy, and when it falls from the cliff it dies granting you the Runes. Hope that helps! Go all the way down the path till you get a patch of grass when it spawns walk to the right along the cliffs and once it speeds up towards you, you run along that edge and it'll fall off. That happened to me too you just have to make sure it falls off and breaks

I have access to the sites of grace in Mogwyns palace but I am no where close to reaching the Elden beast for the sacred relic sword😔
@roen5639 You can use Redan’s swords, or Dragons Rot Breath with Dragon Communion Seal and Roar Medallion. Not quite as fast but they work to clear the hill pretty quick. Hope that helps; and Good Hunting out there!

+Dirk Englert It’s the Sacred Relic Sword, which is the sword you get when you beat the final boss the Elden Beast. After beating him you can return to the game and clean up anything you missed, or use the sword to farm a ton of Runes before flipping the switch to get underway on your second playthrough. @eraj1001 Actually never tried it after killing all the smaller dragons. If you kill the main dragon and reset, it may reset all the smaller dragons….no real telling. I’d have to experiment with it. I’ll give it a shot and let you know, but theoretically it should work.

The Greyoll exploit works, hop on your horse BEFORE killing the dragon as you need to get back to the bonfire FAST. But only the talisman is useful...you DO NOT get bonus from consumables as you reset the consumable at the bonfire BEFORE the runes are awarded. Source: That the way it be.
+SpaklesDr Thanks for the comment! If you consume the pickled fowl foot right before the dragon dies, the timer on the fowl foot is 3 minutes. Resting at the bonfire does not remove its effects, only fast traveling, and exceeding its 3 min timer will. So the consumable will work if you just ride back to the bonfire; the same way it does for the Ball Farm, the Bird Farm, and the Abinuric Farm. The only difference being it takes more time to kill the dragon which exhausts it’s timer, which in turn means you will have to eat 1 Foot per Run. “And that’s the bottom line” Source: Stone Cold Steve Austin.

This also happened to me. I killed the dragon and quickly went to grace and rested, but after that it didn't respawn. Does anyone know if this is still possible with the version 1.10 of the game?
@lunerxd307 It’s most likely a timing thing. Did you receive dragon hearts when you sat at the Grace, or just before you sat? Usually when you just miss getting to the Grace in time, you will receive dragon hearts as you sit, which means the Dragon is dead for good. Before attempting the dragon again in another playthrough (if you are on console) you can save your game manually. If you are unsure how to do it, there is a video on the channel on that subject as well. All that being said, it does still work in patch 1.10.0. Hope this answer helps! @JoaoPauloMadra As explained to @lunerxd, it could be just a timing thing, since the dragon exploit still works in patch 1.10.0. If you don’t get to the grace in time, you will receive the dragon hearts and the dragon will be gone for that playthrough. If you save your game manually, you can attempt the exploit over and over until you get the timing down. There is a video on how to manually save the game. Ive tried the dragon 4 times creating new accounts for each... it simply does not work for me...

@Seventhbulletzayin Unfortunately you can’t bring the dragon back, and it’s gone for that playthrough. In the future there is a way to save the game so to speak, by uploading your saved data to the cloud. I pushed out a video a while back on how to save your progress so if you make a mistake, lose a ton of runes, want to go a different way with a quest, you can just download the cloud saved data back to the system. It seems that sleeping dragon glitch been patched. I killed the dragon and got 50k runes, headed back to the grace, the dragon respawned but I got no runes this time. So has it been patched?
+Dmitriy Kozyr As of patch 1.10 everything in the video still works. Will check on it for you, and make sure though, and give you an answer. I'm new to Elden Ring and I couldn't invade anyone with my fingers provided from the white masked guy. I use my phone data as an internet connection, just wondered if that's why. Really want the rune farm in the underworld.

@jeffpadilla9891 No, you don’t. Just like the video, head to the white dragon’s tail with a bleed weapon and hack away. The very second it dies, you need to get to the site of grace and rest at it BEFORE the dragon completely disappears. You’ll receive the runes and it will be reset. If the dragon completely disappears and you receive the 5 dragon hearts before resting at the site of grace…the dragon will remain dead for that play-through. Hope that helps! @jeffpadilla9891 It’s not easy the first few times you do it; I should have added that, a long while back I posted a video on how you can “Save” your game on console so if you screw something up. You just upload saved data to the cloud or usb drive, and if you mess up, you can just reload your game by downloading saved data back to the console. Maybe that will help out as well.
So albinauric farm with wave of gold still kinda better than exploits, cool, I usually don't like these huge glitches
@joelhodoborgas The jump glitches are really just a novelty, they aren’t what they are normally portrayed to be. The only real exception is the Consecrated Snow Fields jump glitch in the Town of Ordinia. That one beats out the bird farm by 100k per hour. @ssspanos4 Sacred Relic Sword is the wave of gold sword. Which is a sword you get from the final boss in the game. A good alternative to the sword is either the Rahdan Swords or Dragons Rot Breath with the Dragon Communion Seal. Hope that helps, stay safe out there and as Always….Good Hunting!!

@ssspanos4 You could go with a Dragon/Blood Samurai build. It’s what I’ve been running over the last week. Nagakiba with Bloodfame Blade, Dragon Communion Seal off hand. Mixes fast paced bleed damage, and Big Arcane Dragon damage. I’ll post a short next week of some highlights of the build. Keep hacking away out there, and Good Hunting!

@AuteateTV Anytime you port it cancels the fowl foot. Regular way does work best, glad it’s been working out for you. Don’t forget to back up saved data incase you mistime it. Save scumming is great for this method.

@mattrowe1037 Sorry to say Matt, but there isn’t. But…there is a trick where you can save you game so that doesn’t happen again in the future. Left a link in the description to a video from a while back explaining it. It works by uploading your save data on console to cloud storage. Then if you accidentally don’t make it back in time, you can download that saved data from the cloud to the console, and abracadabra, the dragon will be back. Typically you kill the dragon a few times, upload data, kill the dragon a few times…upload data etc. You can use the method for boss fights too, so you don’t have to run all the way back to them. Now playing God of War Ragnarok NG+3 to pass time until the launch of Lords of The Fallen, October 13 by which time I'll be starting that.

@Brod11 It may take a while, but killing Varré doesn’t mean you can’t get to Mogwyn’s Palace, it just means you can’t get there “early”. There’s a portal you can use to get to Mogwyn’s Palace in the consecrated snow fields. If you were looking to level quickly, there aren’t too many other great options mid game aside from the Bird Farm. There's a place I like to farm at I jump off map I get 100k minimum and no one knows of it I like glad it still hasn't been patched

@Heraklis55 The trick to the Dragon farm is to make it back to the site of grace and rest at it before the dragon dissipates. You will still get the Runes, and when you exit the site of Grace the Dragon will still be there. If you reset at the Grace before it disappears, the game thinks the dragon is still alive and repopulates it. If you don’t get back to the Grace in time, you’ll receive 5 dragon hearts, and the dragon will be gone for that play through. Before attempting it again (in another play play-through) there’s a way to sort of manually save the game, by uploading your saved game data on your system to the cloud (or a thumb drive). That way if you mess it up you can download the saved data back to the system and try again. There’s a video that I posted on the channel a long while back that explains how to save and load data step by step. Hope that explanation helps! You can turn his bearing bell into the twin maiden husks in round table hold, and then you’ll be able to pick up the recipe book (or anything else patches sells). Hope that helps. @kodystriegel7794 So basically how the dragon farm works is, you need to make it to the site of grace and rest at it before the dragon dissipates. By resting at the site of grace before the dragon disappears completely it tricks the game into thinking that the dragon is still alive and resets it in place. You’ll still receive the runes, and the dragon will be reset. If you receive the 5 dragon hearts before resting at the site of grace, it won’t work and the dragon will be dead for the entire playthrough. Hope that helps. The ball worked a few times for me and then it didnt give runs anymore
@peekosama2709 The idea behind the ball farm is that technically the ball is an enemy, so when it falls off the cliff and dies it gives you Runes. For this particular ball, when dodging it, make sure it goes off the side of the cliff. If you dodge it and it goes straight down the path, you likely won’t get any runes. Hope that helps! The dragon didn’t respawn
@hotdogstudios The trick to the dragon in to make it to the site of grace before he dissipates. If you make it to the site of grace before he disappears completely then you’ll receive the 5 dragon hearts and he won’t respawn. In the future before attempting this farming exploit, or a boss fight you’re unsure of, it’s a good idea to back up your saved data to the cloud on your console (which is basically like hard saving it). Then if you mess it up you can just re-download your saved data from the cloud back onto your console. I put out a video a long while back on how to manually save the game with that method. I’m currently doing another fresh Rune farming video and I’m going to go into greater detail on the dragon exploit. Hope that helps.

@Horatiohornblower741 Once you defeat the Elden Beast, you can continue cleaning up everything you missed during your first run through before switching over to NG+ 1. You should really prepare people for how to counter the rot and poison dungeon. You expect us to simply walk in there and grab it while trying to get an item to do some mid level farming? I’m like level 55 and get one shot by the poison, have no clue how to negate it or get the item you suggest, and simply can’t run from A to B without dying from rot. Yes, I can look up the dungeon, but this is your guide, and to follow it I need that item, and you pretty much skipped the hardest part, surviving the poison rot.
I have to spend an hour figuring out how to get the item that alleviates rot, since you don’t give me any info on it except that “it’s hoods good”
What I’d it? Bolstering folaces? How do you spell it? Where do you get it? How do you make it?
People be like “ this guide is so helpful you really put time into it”. lol. I’m sitting here going from merchant to merchant, looking at all my ingredients, wondering is neutralizing boluses might work, but I know they don’t.

At the end of the next video I can include a quick run through on the cave, as well as merchant location for the preserving boulaces. I appreciate the feedback it’s extremely helpful. I try to spend a metric ton of time on videos these days, between quality and content and shooting everyone straight instead of promising 100 Billion Runes in 6 milliseconds just for a view. Dodging the boulder doesn't give you runes
@TreeMother It still actually works even after patch 1.10. I just pushed out a 2024 video a few weeks ago. But if you’re still having trouble with it; try dodging it such a way that it falls directly off the side of the cliff. If it rolls straight down the path it won’t work. Hope that helps.
