It is also said in the books that if skinchangers linger too long in the skin of another, they'll eventually forget who they were and become who (or what) they're living in. That's likely how Bran becomes the Night King, if that is indeed what happens.

I believe he heard how he would die. This could explain why Melisandre said "I'm destined to die in this land, like you." When I first heard that, I thought it was odd how she emphasized 'And You,' almost like he knew how he would die, and Melisandre knew he knew. Is this crazy (or even understandable), I don't know, but it's possible.
And catelyn even says that Ned's face doesn't look like him, when littlefinger brought her the remains of Ned's body.. And I think it's Sansa who says the same thing in season 1 or 2

I think Arya is changed and will not marry. I think she will encourage Gendry & Sansa, to continue the bloodlines. Think about it, Rob & Rickon are dead, Brandon may be incapable, the Stark name is already done, at least the bloodline can continue.

It's the same thing that has always happened in History, with Scientists, priests, archaeologists, etc you can't come in to their circle and claim to know something they don't, because you are a nobody and they are the chosen one's. many people that made discoveries have been ridiculed by these so called experts, until years later, that it was discovered they were right.
Im thinking that Arya has Littlefinger's face and she goes down there using it to try to get close to Cersei to take her out. However, due to her spys in the north, Cersei will already know of Littlefinger's death and will capture Arya, unlike the first season where she had escaped. This will prompt Jon, The Hound, Jaimie, and Dany (if still alive) to go down there and rescue her. Kind of like the first season when Ned was captured.
I think the reason Jaqen was so interested in Ayra was just because he could clearly see she was a girl and liked that she was fooling everyone else and probably saw that she had the skill to be part of one of the many-faced god assassins.

I've heard many people say when everyone finds out about Jon snow's true parents, its going to cause problems, but I disagree. First off, the north may dislike the targaryens, but they love the starks. And not only was his mother a stark, she was one of the most loved starks. And Jon was raised by starks and raised in the north, he loves the north. And they might not trust a targaryen, but Jon is the most trustworthy person in Westeros so I think they will come around. Secondly, his family wont look at him any differently. Arya and bran will still see him as a brother and if anything, Sansa will love him even more. Her biggest problem with Jon is she has always been a mommy's girl and thinking that her dad dishonored her mom by having a child with another woman made her dislike jon. Also seeing that her mom disliked jon kinda added to her dislike of him. So when she finds all this out, she will truly love him like a cousin and all the dislike will go away. And lastly, the only problem it might cause between him and Daenerys is their sexual relationship. Jon has never wanted leadership. He never asked to be made lord commander and he never asked to be king of the north. The people chose him. So just because he finds out he's the rightful heir isn't gonna make him want it. He respects daenerys and sees she would make a great king. His loyalty wont waiver. And Daenerys will prolly be happy she still has a legit family member, especially one like jon. I just wonder what there going to do about their feelings for each other. I don't care for the incest, but I wouldn't mind it between these to, I love them being together. Besides, there not brother and sister, there aunt and nephew, some age, did not grow up together and fell in love before they knew. Jon and daenerys together all the way to the end.

I just started re-watching the series in preparation for season and recently discovered your commentaries. Well done! So, because of my recap and your analyses I saw many things I didn't before. Here is what I think will happen to some of the main characters in the end game, as foreshadowed in the story or based on whenever a character makes an absolute statement (poetic justice): Note: I have only watched the show - I am saving the books for when the show is over. 1. Daenerys dies but only after giving birth to Jon's son. "I will never have children". Echoes Lyana's death. 2. Jon wins the war with the Night King and then retires to live alone in the north after Dany's death - wanted to be a ranger, Ygrette paints a picture of life in the north for him, never wanted to be king, etc. He partially raises his acknowleged son (not a bastard) - see #5. 3. Sanza remains lady of Winterfell, but she is burnt out on court life. - always wanted to be a lady. 4. Arya kills Cersei and settles down with Gendry. She finishes her list and then ironically has the life her father predicted and she rejected. However, Gendry lets her be her so it works. She also gets to ride a dragon, based on her conversation with Tywin when she was his cupbearer. 5. Tyrion becomes King-Regent. He is appointed by Jon and Daenerys as the only one fit to rule until their son comes of age. His story completes an epic arc from being despised to being the most powerful and respected man in the realm. 6. Jamie ends up serving Tyrion as the King's Hand and lord of Casterly Rock. He also saves Bran in some big way. Poetic justice. His page in the white book is much added to by Brienne, who becomes captain of the King's Guard. What do you think? She says- when the Sun rises in the west and sets in the east. When the seas go dry and mountains blow in the wind like leaves. When your womb quickens again, and you bear a living child. Then he will return and not before. Danny takes this as never. Grrm does not repeat things yet this is the only prophecy said twice in the same chapter. So here's the theory- When the Sun rises in the west and sets in the east - sun and stars is a dothraki way of saying my love...so when you leave essos and go to Westeros. When the seas go dry- when the seas will freeze. And the mountains blow in wind like leaves.- now the mountain of wall literally blew in the wind. When your womb quickens again , and you bear a living child. - mirri never said Danny can't have children...she referred to a moment in time. Then he will return and not before- It never referred to drogo as a person,it referred to the man she loves, her husband. It refers to jon snow is her man, her love.
I think this is another reference to Sun/Son just like Gillie talking to Sam about "Sea/See" words that sound the same but are spelled differently. The Night King is a Son (rising in the West to "set" in the east) of Winterfell (theory could be Bael the Bards bastard son who was basically the first Jon Snow), he's returning due to the current Jon Snow in some way. Their stories mirror each other being a son of a Stark girl... also hence why Ygritte said "an evil name" when she met the current John Snow. the whole story comes full circle and the NK isn't fully evil
I'm totally in live with EVERYTHING game of thrones, but seeing these videos has always made the time between seasons and books much more enjoyable thank you for doing what you do!!
I could see that happening but more metaphorical. The prince who was promised is supposed to end the long night. That means that if it is an infant, it would have to be something different than what is expected. Maybe he will be sacrificed or something. However, I think it will be one of the current characters. Maybe something unexpected though. For all we know it could be Theon. He is a prince and it would be a good way for him to redeem himself. Good theory though
With only 6 episodes left I would hate if D&D did that (J&D child is prince who was promised). Last season felt so rushed as it were, and things happened at such a blur, and most of the stories did not have time to develop as previous seasons. I preferred the pace and development of the first 5 seasons (minus Aria's strung out training). Unless it turns up to be some sort of undead child like in the Twilight series (God help me, I just compared a plot point from Twilight to ASOIAF... forgive me) I don't see it happening.

As for your question 1: I think Jaqen H'gar is literally "no one," in the sense they were trying to get Arya to become no one. I think the face we know as Jaqen is merely one in the Hall of faces and not any particularly person. Additionally, I think over the time of the show, the Jaqen face has been worn by multiple people. For example, we know that one person wearing the Jaqen face was killed during Arya's training, as a lesson. Beyond that, I don't think the Faceless Men have any real worries about what happens with the Iron Throne -- at least not to the degree of the Red God, the Seven, or the Old Gods. I believe Arya was recruited because he saw in her the fire and ability that would make a good "Faceless Man" -- and not because of any actual interest in the Game of Thrones or the Night King. To that end, I think Arya's time with the Faceless Men, and her ultimate rejection of them, is more of a plot device. Though that doesn't rule out the Faceless Men having a role still to play, or that Arya might not still join their numbers.

I think the Daenerys vision can be interpreted a different way: her not touching it doesn't necessarily mean she won't have the Iron Throne--that could just mean she knew she wasn't ready. Also, the snow on the throne might not be symbolizing Jon Snow, but it could mean that the White Walkers will get to King's Landing and have their way.
I hope the prequel is still happening..I have to say watching all your videos in the build up to season 8 was great I've loved every one of them with all the theorys and all the research you've put into it..looking forward to future videos on the prequel.
I have been a game fan from the start, but my grandma has never watched it, while she cook and things she lets me tell her about the show. She just turned around toward me while I'm following her around the house, you know talking endlessly and said "so the white haired girl is going to die while giving birth to white haired triplets and john will give one to the bad dead man, one to the god of light or the old gods and one will be the king. OMG is that possible.
Jon would never give away any of his children, he suffered because he didn't know his mother and have an intact family- no way would he impose that on his own children willingly.

And we see this many times. I mean, this is a theory after all first we have to see if this is what the Night King wants, ¿after all how the first starks "defeated" the night king not killing him? Thats weird, so it could be possible that the only way the white walkers return to their "cave" is when they get what they have been promised, maybe a prince from the starks or something like that.

She's actually more like 400 years old. She may have witnessed the Doom of Valyria, which was around 300 years before present events.
I believe that according to her flashbacks in the books she was born in Hardhome and was taken as a slave from there a few hundred years ago. The magical glamour of her ruby necklace allows her to appear young to others.

I believe he heard how he would die. This could explain why Melisandre said "I'm destined to die in this land, like you." When I first heard that, I thought it was odd how she emphasized 'And You,' almost like he knew how he would die, and Melisandre knew he knew. Why did the Knight king spare Sam When he went north of the wall with the Nightswatch men?
Im thinking that Arya has Littlefinger's face and she goes down there using it to try to get close to Cersei to take her out. However, due to her spys in the north, Cersei will already know of Littlefinger's death and will capture Arya, unlike the first season where she had escaped. This will prompt Jon, The Hound, Jaimie, and Dany (if still alive) to go down there and rescue her. Kind of like the first season when Ned was captured.

the valonqar theory is not mentioned in the show, so they could kill cersei in other ways.
I've heard many people say when everyone finds out about Jon snow's true parents, its going to cause problems, but I disagree. First off, the north may dislike the targaryens, but they love the starks. And not only was his mother a stark, she was one of the most loved starks. And Jon was raised by starks and raised in the north, he loves the north. And they might not trust a targaryen, but Jon is the most trustworthy person in Westeros so I think they will come around. Secondly, his family wont look at him any differently. Arya and bran will still see him as a brother and if anything, Sansa will love him even more. Her biggest problem with Jon is she has always been a mommy's girl and thinking that her dad dishonored her mom by having a child with another woman made her dislike jon. Also seeing that her mom disliked jon kinda added to her dislike of him. So when she finds all this out, she will truly love him like a cousin and all the dislike will go away. And lastly, the only problem it might cause between him and Daenerys is their sexual relationship. Jon has never wanted leadership. He never asked to be made lord commander and he never asked to be king of the north. The people chose him. So just because he finds out he's the rightful heir isn't gonna make him want it. He respects daenerys and sees she would make a great king. His loyalty wont waiver. And Daenerys will prolly be happy she still has a legit family member, especially one like jon. I just wonder what there going to do about their feelings for each other. I don't care for the incest, but I wouldn't mind it between these to, I love them being together. Besides, there not brother and sister, there aunt and nephew, some age, did not grow up together and fell in love before they knew. Jon and daenerys together all the way to the end.

I just started re-watching the series in preparation for season and recently discovered your commentaries. Well done! So, because of my recap and your analyses I saw many things I didn't before. Here is what I think will happen to some of the main characters in the end game, as foreshadowed in the story or based on whenever a character makes an absolute statement (poetic justice):
Note: I have only watched the show - I am saving the books for when the show is over.
1. Daenerys dies but only after giving birth to Jon's son. "I will never have children". Echoes Lyana's death.
2. Jon wins the war with the Night King and then retires to live alone in the north after Dany's death - wanted to be a ranger, Ygrette paints a picture of life in the north for him, never wanted to be king, etc. He partially raises his acknowleged son (not a bastard) - see #5.
3. Sanza remains lady of Winterfell, but she is burnt out on court life. - always wanted to be a lady.
4. Arya kills Cersei and settles down with Gendry. She finishes her list and then ironically has the life her father predicted and she rejected. However, Gendry lets her be her so it works. She also gets to ride a dragon, based on her conversation with Tywin when she was his cupbearer.
5. Tyrion becomes King-Regent. He is appointed by Jon and Daenerys as the only one fit to rule until their son comes of age. His story completes an epic arc from being despised to being the most powerful and respected man in the realm.
6. Jamie ends up serving Tyrion as the King's Hand and lord of Casterly Rock. He also saves Bran in some big way. Poetic justice. His page in the white book is much added to by Brienne, who becomes captain of the King's Guard.

And the mountains blow in wind like leaves.- now the mountain of wall literally blew in the wind.
When your womb quickens again , and you bear a living child. - mirri never said Danny can't have children...she referred to a moment in time.
Then he will return and not before-
It never referred to drogo as a person,it referred to the man she loves, her husband. It refers to jon snow is her man, her love.

I think this is another reference to Sun/Son just like Gillie talking to Sam about "Sea/See" words that sound the same but are spelled differently. The Night King is a Son (rising in the West to "set" in the east) of Winterfell (theory could be Bael the Bards bastard son who was basically the first Jon Snow), he's returning due to the current Jon Snow in some way. Their stories mirror each other being a son of a Stark girl... also hence why Ygritte said "an evil name" when she met the current John Snow. the whole story comes full circle and the NK isn't fully evil

I was really surprised this wasn't mentioned as a possibility in the video. It's my first guess.
I could see that happening but more metaphorical. The prince who was promised is supposed to end the long night. That means that if it is an infant, it would have to be something different than what is expected. Maybe he will be sacrificed or something. However, I think it will be one of the current characters. Maybe something unexpected though. For all we know it could be Theon. He is a prince and it would be a good way for him to redeem himself. Good theory though

With only 6 episodes left I would hate if D&D did that (J&D child is prince who was promised). Last season felt so rushed as it were, and things happened at such a blur, and most of the stories did not have time to develop as previous seasons. I preferred the pace and development of the first 5 seasons (minus Aria's strung out training). Unless it turns up to be some sort of undead child like in the Twilight series (God help me, I just compared a plot point from Twilight to ASOIAF... forgive me) I don't see it happening.

As for your question 1: I think Jaqen H'gar is literally "no one," in the sense they were trying to get Arya to become no one. I think the face we know as Jaqen is merely one in the Hall of faces and not any particularly person. Additionally, I think over the time of the show, the Jaqen face has been worn by multiple people. For example, we know that one person wearing the Jaqen face was killed during Arya's training, as a lesson.
Beyond that, I don't think the Faceless Men have any real worries about what happens with the Iron Throne -- at least not to the degree of the Red God, the Seven, or the Old Gods. I believe Arya was recruited because he saw in her the fire and ability that would make a good "Faceless Man" -- and not because of any actual interest in the Game of Thrones or the Night King. To that end, I think Arya's time with the Faceless Men, and her ultimate rejection of them, is more of a plot device. Though that doesn't rule out the Faceless Men having a role still to play, or that Arya might not still join their numbers.

I think the Daenerys vision can be interpreted a different way: her not touching it doesn't necessarily mean she won't have the Iron Throne--that could just mean she knew she wasn't ready. Also, the snow on the throne might not be symbolizing Jon Snow, but it could mean that the White Walkers will get to King's Landing and have their way.

I have been a game fan from the start, but my grandma has never watched it, while she cook and things she lets me tell her about the show. She just turned around toward me while I'm following her around the house, you know talking endlessly and said "so the white haired girl is going to die while giving birth to white haired triplets and john will give one to the bad dead man, one to the god of light or the old gods and one will be the king. OMG is that possible.

@@baxterandcotton Yes but thats when we have to talk about what GRRM said many times, that his characters developement almost always have a very dificult choise in their path at least once, a very dificult choise that could break the character. And we see this many times. I mean, this is a theory after all first we have to see if this is what the Night King wants, ¿after all how the first starks "defeated" the night king not killing him? Thats weird, so it could be possible that the only way the white walkers return to their "cave" is when they get what they have been promised, maybe a prince from the starks or something like that.
