Okay so Anor Londo is pretty fucking long. Probably the largest area in the game (I think don't quote me on that) so there's a lot to miss. Also, O&S live here, so there's that. Only a couple of actually tricky areas though, the rest you just have to be careful going through. It's also worth noting that if you kill Gwyndolin, you lose your chance to join the Darkmoon covenant.

First time I reached Gywnevere's chamber, there were three messages at the door.
"Amazing chest ahead", "Be wary of massive chest", "Try holding with both hands"
The try with both hands was also left in my game in dark souls 3. Big sad. No titties. Cry with both hands over face.
I'm not a native English speaker. So it took me a while to understand why there were no chest to open in this room, as the messages were translated. Same with TTBH in DaS2.
Sounds more fitting before Quelaag's door.
@sir perfectionest I have a bias towards the darkness. It may be more common than you give credit for. Why else do teenagers go all goth and emo and shit like that? Admittedly, I always kind of liked it when girls were mean to me when I was a kid. Crazy, I know. But then again, more common than you may thing. Quelaag ftw!!!

I was actually referring to the Dragonriders fight, by the way. The Mirror Knight is after them and he is a cool boss. Especially since it expands upon the Old Monk's boss idea. Though at the same time, it can be a very cheap boss against solo players.. Oh well, still beat it on my first try, even if I had to deal with 3 NPC mirror summons.

Nathaniel Allen My first char I didn't summon Solaire and did like 30 attempts on them, but never managed to kill them. Closest being like 10%.
I ragequit and started anew with more experience and ended up killing them in the first try because of all the skills I had from my first char xD And somewhat better equipment.

I found my first mimic and immediately made the genius decision to just slap the everliving shit out of every poor innocent (or not) chest I came across just in case.
mimics copy everything on a normal chest but they make a mistake, mimic chains point out and real chest chains circle in on them selves.

it is optional to kill the quinn,you dont have to do it..if you kill her you just get more souls by killing the boss in the dark londo and its fun thats all...yes you can get into painting world even if you kill the quinn but just to make sure everything is going to be ok make sure you go into painted world first then kill the quinn :)

***** Because Ariamis is awesome so anyone whose anyone wants to duel there. A dumbshit tip:
Dark Souls has a weird and complicated set of PvP "laws" that are basically followed by everyone, and if they don't know, they will figure it out eventually. One of these stipulates that, like it or not, there are designated PVP zones where 99% of people are there to fight, while the other 1% are actually trying to pass the level, but will get a fight anyway. Bringing summons only serves to make phantoms attack with extra gusto because phantoms will instantly assume they will be ganked and will bring a powerhouse of weapons and equipment to fight 3v1 accordingly. Some noteworthy locations:
Undead Parish, the Depths, the Berg (the first two for griefers, the last is typically fight clubbing for NG+ and beyond)
The Painted World of Ariamis (amazing scenery, mid game location, tower makes a good fightclub spot)
Darkroot Garden (Forest Covenant means a steady supply of invaders for Gankers or prey for Darkwraiths)
And the Kiln of the First Flame (Best most awesome level in the game/100, can only be accessed at the end of the story which means everyone there survived Dark Souls and is looking for late-game PvP)
If you do not want to get mobbed by Invaders, staying hollow or going in at a very low SL is the best way to go. Inversely, you can optimize yourself to the point of deific, go in human form, and just slay any wraiths that trespass, but that is a bad idea until you gain a considerable level of experience.
As for escaping the level, go through the level until you pass the room full of blob hollows (use fire so they don't toxin you, flame burns the toxin and leaves you unharmed.) You will find a path going to the right that takes you to the main tower, by a bridge with an undead dragon on it. Skirt the front of the tower, into the doorway down some stairs, and take the spiral stairs down to ground level inside the tower. You will be able to open the door to the courtyard, there will be a statue surrounded by spear wielding blobs. Ignore them, swing around and go straight to the back. You will be able to.open the door at the start of the level, by the bonfire, from the inside, putting you at the start. To unlock the exit, go back into the courtyard, take an immediate left, there will be a set of stairs going up into a building. At the top, go left and you will find a ladder to the basement. It's dark and the room is full of bonewheels, but the pillar on the back left side has a winch on it. Use it to turn the statue around. This will open the other door in the main tower, it will take you under the undead dragon and all the way to the boss fog at the end. Be careful, as the hollows set up a few pincer attacks, and the fog is warded by a greatsword-wielding Barenike knight, whose WAY deadlier than any of the other Barenikes you see in the game.
Get past him, and you can choose to talk to the boss, Crossbreed Priscilla, and she will tell you to jump from the plank behind her and make absolutely no attempt to attack you unless provoked. YOLO off the cliff, and you will appear back in the painting hall unscathed.
Still, Ariamis has a ton of powerful, unique gear worth finding before you leave including:
The Red sign Soapstone, the Dark Ember, Fire Surge, Acid Surge, the Notched whip and Xanthous set, Velka's Rapier, the Black Cleric Set, the Bloodshield, and lots of souls and humanity. Hope that helps.
leider hosen I'd like to add to never go down the well you find in the courtyard (unless you're a greatshield user, then it's an option), and you can skip straight to Priscilla if you kill the undead dragon and use a jump attack on it's butt and can survive a short fall. There's an NPC invasion in the courtyard, to the right after the first gate from the bonfire (you'll need to unlock it by going around as said by leider).
MrAgentIncognito You can find the "Annex Key" Which opens up a lot of goodies from the locked door in the courtyard with all the tables, and a really good pyromancy if you go down the well.
*But* you'll be put into close quarters with bonewheel skeletons in narrow halls underground. Your choice.
all u gotta do is light fires everywhere. its a painting and youll eventually fall out when enough burns. BURN THE SHIT DOWN!
