These are Recon Marines. Super grunts. Boot camp is a distant memory as these Marines could teach a DI some things. The "jerk" you think you see is recoil "after" the squeeze. You probably have never fired a .50 cal. Large, stiff trigger not like .223 NATO carbines and ammo at all. Again, these guys know as much as any boot camp PMI.

The Barrett 50 cal is not "sniper rifle", that is not what it was designed for and not what it is good at. The Marine described its purpose much better than the narrator.

1. they are not recon
2. the .50 cal is not a sniper rifle because it does not hold 1MOA, it holds closer to 3 MOA
3. slow steady squeeze on a SASR aka barrett won't make much of a difference, it is an anti armor weapon and the rounds we use have c4 in the tip (raufoss rounds). sincerely, a member of 3/7 scout sniper platoon

I had the privilege of deploying as a Platoon "doc" for the Marines during the mid 80's which included a bunch of live fire after a couple weeks in Australia's "Outback" when I was taken on a hunt for a BBQ/meal planned for the last day and although I'm sure it will upset a lot of people and cause them to cringe while reading this but a Kangaroo was harvested using the .50 cal at this distance and if anyone doubts the accuracy of this weapon I can honestly say that at this distance there's not a problem with placing the hot chunk of lead exactly where the crossed hair rested, oh ya after being prepared properly the roo ended up tasting pretty good too!🦘😳
