I really enjoyed watching this. My daughter and I went there a few years ago, but I am seeing many different things than what we had seen, when we were there. One thing that really struck me is the photos of Lincoln from 1860-1865 and YES how much he had aged in those few years!!!! He really gave us his all. Love, love, love history. Thanks for sharing this.
It's actually well worth the drive! They have an amazing theater inside with holograms that is very cool! We were there years ago and now going back with friends.
I just went this past week to this museum. Was well worth traveling from NC to see this. Your video is great, and ty for confirmation that the choice to visit was the right one!
A couple interesting details from a local: the first journey (the Prairie Years) was originally to be much bigger, but was condensed due to budget reasons. Also cut was a third theatrical show about the civil war from a soldier’s perspective, which would’ve been where the food court is now. Tim Russert also refused to do more than one take for the election 1860 video because he thought it was “stupid”, and as there’s no art of Anne Rutledge LifeFormations used their receptionist Jennifer as her facial reference for her wax figure.
BEST PRESIDENTIAL MUSEUM I HAVE EVER BEEN to is Lincoln's. The NEXT BEST Presidential museum is the Harry S Truman museum in Independence, Missouri. I have been to most museums except Nixon's and Regan's. I have been to the boyhood home of Ronald Regan''s in Dixon, Illinois. Regan's home in Dixon is also very interesting.
You Really Like Lincoln lol 👍😊👌😁 Im More of a JFK Kinda Guy. 👊😎✊But What Do I Know - I'm A Canadian! 🍁Lol 😂👊✊ I Think That P.E.T Pierre Elliot Truduo SR Was Our Best Prime minister Ever Justin's Late Father RIP 🍁

Thanks Martha, they do seem to change some things up each visit. I’ve always loved the presidential sites. There will be more! 😁
I live only 2 hours away but have never made the effort to visit this museum. Your video makes me to put this up on my list of things to do. Thanks.
