Why does maxes mum always expect him to be treated differently. Last time about the fruit and this week about shaking someone’s bloody hand. She literally is there to make him behave better but is literally condoning everything he does. At least the rest of the parents mostly see the problem
It's a very tragic and traumatic experience for Tom bless him. He's gone through so much and he's coped better than some people would. Hope everyone is proud of him and hopefully he is ok now.
I would love to clap my hands to the Sports teacher on controlling Tom, how he remains so calm is amazing, and this goes out to all the other teachers and parents with kids who have behavioural problems
Adhd is not an excuse for bad behaviour. I’m a parent of 2 kids with the disorder and even though life is challenging they still know right from wrong and what’s acceptable & what’s not.
If he didn’t want to shake his hand that was fine but he can’t expect the reward when he’s not being respectful and following basic rules of sportsmanship
Max’s Mum doesn’t seem to understand just how much she influences his behaviour and plays his games. Last week it was he won’t eat fruit. He remarkably eat fruit This week he didn’t want to do something he had to do. Sulked to mummy and she immediately bows to his command
It’s a shame. It’s exactly why he’s the state he’s in. She doesn’t care about the behavior just that his feelings got hurt. She literally coddled him when the team lost, in second place, mind you.
I have ADD. I'm on the other end of the spectrum. If I were any more low key, I'd be sleeping. It GREATLY effects motivation and concentration. I never got in trouble in school, unless it was being punished for not having homework completed. Without being medicated, after "just passing" grades, I finally made it on the B Honor roll my senior year.. I still struggle greatly today and I'm 44 years old.
One issue... 3:50 This philosophy Drew explains...? *NO!* It is not anyone's problem if someone else gets offended by something they say. There will always be someone around to get offended. That's not an "us problem", that's a "them problem". Nobody is ever responsible for someone else's interpretation.
These boys all need to learn and understand that just because someone says something doesn't mean you have to fly off the handle, and that if you are annoyed speaking calmly and rationally about why you're annoyed will get you somewhere. Kicking off means that people stop listening to WHY youre annoyed or upset and instead they focus on WHAT youre DOING. You get places by being rational and reasonable.
If you have ADHD and autism, it's harder to control your self and your behaviour. But Mr Drew is an angel from heaven because he shows them their behaviour and why itscbad.
Mr Drew showing the boys their behaviour virtually with the video of them misbehaving that is ingenious idea. you can clearly see how affective that was those boys observing their own behaviour by watching themselves act up and realising this is not the person I want to be maybe.
If they already know that what they were doing wrong, but they still doing it, it seems like they are doing it out of spite and are seeking to destroy you.
I usually never try and get in and judge how other people treat their kids. But Max's mum is really getting on my nerves. They're there to learn something aren't they? And how is he supposed to learn anythinng at all if she cuddles him like she is?
yes some of the kids have issues that they need external help with but as I kept watching this series, I also realised the PARENTS ARE ENABLERS. MAX'S MOM IS PRIME example. she makes excuses for him & if im Max, I see it as her reinforcing my bad behaviour so it's ok for me to continue this way. These parents need to wake up and LISTEN to the specialists and professionals instead of defending their children. Max's mom - my son doesn't eat veggies, he needs crisp. like woman with. and then max goes I love pineapple 1000. some people should not be PARENTS.
Mr. Volante is my Favorite as well as Jake, Joe, and Tom!! Does anyone know what time or what days this show comes out on Channel Four? I really love watching it and I keep replaying it!!
What about the boy who was calling him names? Please tell me he was disciplined for bullying. Because even though life contains no guarantees that people won't "wind you up", it's a very damaging part of society to allow boys to bully without consequences. They need to shown that this behavior isn't acceptable as well. It starts now, when they're young. Otherwise they'll grow into adult bullies.
Can we delete Max's mum or just forget about her plz and..."if my son doesn't want to touch another person's hand he don't have too" bruh it's a handshake don't have to act like it's death!!!
Actually, it makes sense, because identical twins have so many genes in common, if one is ADHD, the other usually is as well. Then, they tend to egg each other on to act out.
That's the teacher that was in the other school show. I forgot what it's called now but its my first time watching this and I instantly recognised him 🤣🤣
