all the resin and finishing work and of course let's not forget the skeg fitting and shaping bit disappointed 😕😕 having said, totally appreciate the opportunity to comment and appreciate the fine work striving for perfection. Proper hands on, love working with wood, great medium to work with.
Hi Alexander, sorry about the late reply. I have a book just published on how to build these boards ( ebook pdf or hard copy) and also full sized plans available for this board and others. The brown stuff is epoxy resin mixed with wood dust ( which is a by product of the process of making the board.
Thanks for the reply, Im going with a light weight glass with the epoxy just to see if it makes any real difference. I find the epoxy is pretty resistant but the glass may protect on impact a little more.
Hi Dustin, paulownia or cedar wood are ideal, the board is hollow... wood and epoxy resin. I have a book just published on how to build these boards ( ebook pdf or hard copy) and also full sized plans available for this board and others.
Roy Stuart , Roy thanks for answering my comment, I certainly will be having a look. Probably 40 years since I stood on a board as a learner ( piran malibu ) but alas never keept it up. Still enjoy watching a bit of surfing from time to time , thanks again all the best. Les.
Amazing. Would love to see the fin more. I bet that could catch huge swells looong before anyone else! How many liters is that?? Can you send dimensions?
Beautiful board! I'm with Alex, I'd like to make my own board and was thinking foam core but this looks amazing. If you do have details on materials used i would greatly appreciate it my friend. Cheers
Thanks Felipe, it's paulownia wood and the glue is epoxy resin, this is mixed with paulownia dust and WEST system glue powders to make a structural glue to match the darker colours in the wood.
Was that only finished with epoxy resin as a final coat? No fiber? I make wooden boards and up until now have used three coats of epoxy resin over the ply/ foam rubber laminate that makes the board but am considering adding a layer of fiber on the bottom side. Any comments? (they are not surf boards)
It's bent in when the panels are laminated together. The jig either has concave built in or it has flexible battens so the concave can be adjusted via weights.
This is the most beautiful board; the music is awesome, too

A lot of work there, but well worth it. That's a beautiful board! :¬)

Beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
I’m not sure I understand exactly what I saw but the result was beautiful.
great video, hell of a lot of work went into this creation, it's a shame we do not get to see it right through to completion, (
Sorry about that. I have a few videos of the board being ridden though.

Awsome skill my friend
Great job and video, but i would expect to see the finish product ;-).
Umm the finished board is being surfed at the end of the video,
Beautiful how long did it take to build? How does she ride? I simply love the design color goes well with the design!
Thanks. Time to build is about 200 hours including cups of coffee. The ride is a dream.
NICE !!! what kind of glue are you using? and what about the wood? i would really thank you if you can help me with that!! Cheers!!

Looks like a really great but how much do you want for it
Not for sale but when they are the prices are ridiculous. No reason why.
Nice , someone get this guy a jig saw
:)... tried buy the book but the link takes me only to the book info :)
World class.

Yes only epoxy resin. I find that dings are easier to repair without glass and the board is more flexible that way. Cloth is ok though.
Hi Roy, how or where can I get your ebook you mentioned below?
Regards from Germany, Frank
Hi Frank, I've added a link to the ebook in the video description, here's another link: tinyurl.com/lzygnsh
How heavy are these?
could i make a paddle board with this design?
How is it glue?
magnifique
What kind of wood do you use?
This board was built from Paulownia wood
thanks
how heavy is this board?
Fifty five pounds
how did you get the concave????
It's bent in when the panels are laminated together. The jig either has concave built in or it has flexible battens so the concave can be adjusted via weights.
WOW!!!!
wow !!!
Bad ass
This time I'll use woodprix instructions to make it by my hand :)
