Hello! I'm building my first hollow wood surfboard and yours videos really inspired me. But I got curious about the unglassed board. Does the finish without fiber a resin remain in good quality? Have any problem with after those years?
wait!! no glassing???? please, can you give me a feedback on this? i dont want to glass mine.. i want to keep it ultralight... how about the water proffing?
Thanks Marco. About 150 hours work - enjoyed every minute. Weighs 5.3 kgs , which feels about right . Goes unreal - feels really balanced & does nice carving turns, one of my favourite boards.
Looks like you're in Australia? Was that mount warning in one of those pictures? Love the board, curious as to which glue you are using? and if you are in Aus, where can I get some. Cheers in advanced
Yeah - that's Mt warning ( Wollumbin ) - check out my blog - wollumbin-woodsticks.blogspot.com.au/ The glue I used is titebond 3 - which I order through all trades at molesworth st Lismore - never seen it in any hardware stores - its waterproof & works good on oiled boards.

Impressive crafting. How did you make the fins? Has the oil coating been protective enough over time (water leaks)?
Thanks!
Awesome! I had the exact same concept in mind for my rocker table!
Gorgeous board, a lot of work went into that..congrats! How does it surf? Is it heavy, the rails looked quite thick.
