I think it's interesting to note that what is now believed to be the altar Noah built in Turkey after the flood suggests that he may have been around 16 ft tall. I'm not saying he was, I'm not saying he wasn't. I don't know. However, if he was, I find it likely he would have used a cubit of his arm, which would have been substantially larger than the Royal cubit used by the Ark Encounter. If he was that Large, it's most likely his family would be as well, and also the animals. We know for a fact that some ancient animals were huge compared to our animals today. This could suggest a much larger Ark, but also a needed one for the larger animals. again, I don't know how big the Ark was, I don't know how tall Noah was, but I do find this to be a fascinating consideration.

I believe they had other reasons for estimating the height of 16 ft. The idea is that humans were larger before the flood, just as the animals were, because of the difference in the environment before the Earth was destroyed by the flood and that our size diminished as our lifespans did.
