You should be official basenji wisperer. So many people ask advice in basenji fb groups. Warms my heart to see every basenji that comes in contact with you becomes better happier basenji❤️

Good job, I wish I had another B to keep mine company, they have so much fun playing. My B was watching too.

Hello, I have a 3 1/2 month Basenji he’s been with me 4 days now since he left his litter. When should I begin leash training and recall training basically training in general? Thanks

Hi! you can start training day 1! Don't think of training as a structured activity, its more a play and communication between you and the dog, with lots of praise and food. It just means that you create a setting where something that the puppy does (not forced) leads to a food reward.

I appreciate your input I love watching your TH-cam videos: is there any particular food item except kibble that you’d recommend for teaching the puppy with food rewards. Thanks

I prefer to use their normal food for training at home, so if you feed kibble then kibble. But outside or in highly distracting environment I use treats. My view is that if you feel your puppy is not showing much interest in their regular food, you might be overfeeding or the puppy has low food drive and this needs to be addressed first.
