Sorry but customers have already made their preference for jets clear. That's why turboprop airliners like the Dash 8 died and the Boeing 717 lives on despite one being clearly more efficient than the other.
Lilium will win the customer's hearts and wallets with their ducted fan design that doesn't have six flailing props scattered across the airframe. It's a more attractive and safer design with the ability to more safely get into and out of tight helipads.
Additionally the ducted fan design is FAR more scalable to larger craft than can still takeoff and land on the same helipads that a scaled up Joby would not be able to. And four seats is not enough for any economies of scale.
Lilium's fixed wings with canard allow a glide and lower vertical speed in an emergency descent than an auto-rotating helicopter, and it also has a BRS if all else fails, something most of the others don't have. It will be the safest option with a one in a billion chance of failure.
Joby, Vertical, Uber, etc. will struggle with customer acceptance when shown side by side with a spacious 7-seat Lilium Jet.

AIr mobility is blowing up because the aircraft are here. all thats required is certification by the worlds aviation controlling bodies, EASA and FAA as well as proper legislation around this new market. The ground work for key Pilot states has alread been established. And the key component to make it all possible, Tesla's next generation batteries, is in production. Its not so much of a matter of if this will happen as its already underway. its moreso where it will first be available. And we know at least for eVTOL companies. LILIUM jet, they are setup to lauch headquarter in Orlando florida, covering much of the south florida's major cities. Its a market that will explode over time. Its one to invest heavily in. as the future will see more and more dependence upon air mobility.

@@eVTOLinnovation Bull. The only leader is Joby Aviation. They're on the way to certification in the U.S, have a functioning prototype, a partnership with Toyota and many other advantages. Maybe Lillium, but some of their ex employees claim they haven't reached the range specifications claimed (and other specs). The volocopter and Ehang both rely on a copter/drone style of fighting gravity. Both are about 1/4th as efficient as lift generated by wings cutting through the air. A helicopter or drone is aerodynamically "dirty." That means lots of turbulent resistance to forward motion. Ehang, Volocopter, and similar craft may enjoy limited success early on, but in the long run, you need a clean winged craft, preferably as part of a lifting body: See Eviation. Electric flight based on batteries or good fuel cells is possible, but these energy sources are really limited so your vehicle must be highly efficient. The most efficient propellers (and the least noisy) tend to be large. Lillium's design relies on ground effects, but has very small blades, which tend to be inefficient, although the cowlings should reduce noise a lot.
