I still want and will wait for night setting in Le Mans
*the experience would be too great*

I cant wait for the rain so I can run my car in the wetttt💦💦
@@renaldosimpson8755 those emojis are unsettling..
The first time I played Le Mans on Forza 7 it was night and it was difficult but satisfying.
Yes the amount spa is charging could be use to obtain license for more tracks and can be use to develop non existent tracks
I'd rather, Zolder, Sebring and Laguna Seca than the 3x priced Spa.
I'd completely forgotten about Lotus. Maybe Lotus should think about that. If they are not putting themselves out there......
becuase you would buy 2 Lotuses a year if you haven't forget about them? what a loser you are.......
Well when it comes to cars, we can always pull a RUF kinda move.
That'd be awesome!
Its the ultimate dick move from gt haha
What would that mean? I don't know enough about what RUF or a RUF move exactly is or would be 🙈🤔
@@EricVellekoop If original cars are not available, take their modded version
@@Jtngetabettername Aah, I like that idea!
Important thing to note - Lotus is not the problem. Geeley is Geeley own both Lotus and Volvo and have become known for being extortionate for game licencing costs. It's the reason why you haven't seen newer Lotus or Volvo cars in games recently. Don't take it out on Lotus. Take your anger out on Geeley.
unlike their previous parent Proton (which is also bought by Geely). Proton would be like "yeah yeah feel free to do whatever you want" lol.
You're absolutely right on both parts, SPA and LOTUS!
It is like it is!
👍
So basically Spa and Lotus are being greedy over some video game developers. That's why I hate licensing policies, not only they costs tons of money for developers to pay just to be featured on a game but once the licensing runs out, games are gonna get affected by it. It also makes re-release's of certain older games impossible.
Yeah that is a pretty bad business practice because no one will want to collaborate with you if you're that savage. To built confidence, you need to respect your partners and not be a complete asshole.
That's a terrible idea
And thats why no one would employ you in business.
@@Jean-Poule_II I know my idea is stupid af and unrealistic but I was just kinda Pissed off from the actions of Spa. I find the idea of some race track charging a Video game developer huge amount of money just so the developers can include their race track in a video game is kinda ridiculous. It's not like you're hiring a movie star to voice act in a movie or a video game.
@@steveazyb2595 I was just pissed off about Spa demanding huge amount of money to be featured in a video game that barely anyone plays nowadays (GT and racing games overall have dropped in popularity hugely compared to 15 years ago). I understand what I said was idiotic but still, Polyphony did the right choice by not paying for those licensing.
Oh and One more thing, I don't give a shit about business anyways, I rather focus on improving my coding skills and finish my university courses.
By all accounts Spa is up and running in a dev build. I do expect it to arrive this year after a renegotiated deal. Some folk in the know claim to be aware of at least three tracks coming to GT Sport (in addition to Goodwood).
If not Spa then Pd should think about Super GT/ Super Formula circuits. There are many missing like Buriram, Motegi, Okayama or Sepang (not sure about this one). It would be great addition and would go along well with recently added cars.
Add the original circuits instead and everyone will be happy
Kudos to Kaz for handling business smart and rational. Now, about the absence of weather…did God asked too much for rain? (joking
Hahahaha. But seriously I think they've gone so far with their fixed weather that I can easily believe they are a bit reluctant to make the change.
As weird as it may sound, even though Lotus is likely not coming back to GT Sport, I think RUF has even less of a chance, and in my opinion, is even more dissapointing. RUF is a stellar brand, creating ground up creations that are inspired by Porsche models, and as such has made a totally different experience. But that's not what people think about RUF when it comes to racing games. There isn't a single racing game as far as I'm aware that features both RUF and Porsche at the same time, because RUF to gaming companies is a cheap and easy way to get Porsches into the game, and now that EA Exclusivity deal has ended there is no reason for them to bring RUF back. I think that is such a shame. I would love to see cars such as the CTR Yellowbird, CTR3 or R50 with amazing HD graphics from Polyphony.
Assetto Corsa has both Porsche and RUF
Test drive 2 the duel has both and forza 4 eventually got porsche dlc
Gran turismo 3
it's not exactly what you mean but forza horizon 2 has both ruf and porsche as porsche was added post-release
Thanks for the update and for keeping the in depth reviews of cars well done mate
Great video and thanks for the upload! I have a lot of respect for the makers of GT for taking a stand against lotus and SPA. All it takes is a couple of greedy hands to take away everything from those with patience and discipline that are deserving.
Let players make mods or tracks, and GT could take those tracks, and put them in the game for players to race on, and earn money. Like a track called "sauna"
I wasn't aware of these, so i quite enjoyed this type of video.
The Lotus brand is now owned by Geely and its them and not Lotus who have taken Lotus cars out of the game. I hope they can come to an agreement because they also own Volvo and it would be great to have them as a manufacturer in the game and there older touring cars from the nighties.
Indianapolis Motor Speedway, or Laguna Seca. Both of those two were super popular in GT5-6
If Spa is charging too much then why dont PD just make a fictional track similar to it or bring back a track like El Capitan.
As for Lotus not being paid enough. We don't know the details to tell if PD is being a bit unfair or Lotus being greedy so its hard to tell. I disagree about Lotus being less important tho. Mclaren is not a large company either how much did they get paid? Maybe Lotus saw what Mclaren was paid and said hey we want that same amount. Or maybe they asked for more than what Aston Martin got paid, is Aston Martin more important than Lotus, I wouldnt think so.
Which is why I didn't reference those companies in comparison. Lotus could have just as easily been comparing themselves to the highest rates in the game. Which I would wager is probably Ferrari.
i honestly wish PD could somehow add the Targa Florio Circuit that would be amazing
When i saw Siracusa as a Photo Location in GT6, i hoped to see the Targa Florio in game. I Have Played a lot on rfactor on that track, especially with 1970 sports cars! :)
@@Vincenzo_CVR Circuit de la Sierra was probably the closest to a Targa Florio in Gran Turismo.
I wanted monza and i am satisfied ..ty gt sports
Same here bro. Love that track. That and circuit de la sarthe were awesome add ons
Yeah this definitely wasn’t my prediction on the new series.
Okay, but what's the "asking price" for PD to have Deep Forest back on the game?
They said they are working on it. It's only a matter of time
Sorry Guys .. but Project Cars2 has everything 99% of the comments have asked for .. .IJS
Why do they even need to license Spa? Just make a fictional track that bears a close resemblance, and call it Sauna or smth 😀
Then get sued? Nah man
Yew Kai Sheng Plenty of games do a similar type of thing with Suzuka. But I don’t think PD wants to do to that.
Sauna would be a rather weird circuit. Hot and sweaty men in there
Why don't they make their own variant of Spa then? They did the same thing to Pocono with Blue Moon Bay, and to Bristol with Northern Isle Speedway.
I agree to hell with the people at spa asking so much money
So, you agree with pricing yourself out of a job?
@@HSGAutomotive its gt sports only a stupid will price himself off the game like lotus ..
the lotus thing seems to be coming back on gt sport, instead for spa we have to see it in the next Gt7
So did Spa end up lowering their prices or did they give in with the money?
As a Belgian I would love to see the Spa circuit again.
But like you mentioned it's too dangerous to give in to people who ask too much money.
There are many real circuits that are also deserve to return or appear. As for Lotus there are also plenty of other brands. But my question is the F1500 not the Lotus F1 car?
It's the 97T unlicensed. Kinda like those GT3 Formula GT cars.
Deep forest track i need back
I will stay behind it no matter what xD
Lotus: Hey guys, we’re in Forza.
Toyota & Lexus: We are in Gran Turismo (STILL NO LFA/LFA NÜRBURGRING EDITION).
And IS F also
I want Laguna Seca back on GT was an awesome track and The Corkscrew is phenomenal
We Didn't Get Any Update Of Any New Rally,Cars And Track Too..
I want to see more videos like this one. I come here for reviews, setup and discussion.
I wonder how much Daytona would ask for 🤔 just think of all those left turns we could be making officially, not on Blue Moon
One wonderful track that the peoples forogt and that is still existing in the new and old setup of "Charade". Charade was one of the most demanding tracks back then with Nürburgring and Targa Fiorio. It would be an excellent add to the GT-Sport universe.
I miss spa. Really only track left I need to have.
That Mercedes gameplay is from "Best Touring Cars in GT6" it think.
It has the gt6 watermark
Its originally from my review of it

For alle those people that keep saying "wHeRe Is SpA???1?1??11?1?1???????1?1?1?1???!?!!?"
I can't stand those people in every GT comment section
I srill wonder how much they need to pay that they denied the payment but other developers could pay them enough to include the track in their games.
And also, does the F1 license holder will always have the rights on the Monaco circuit that when other games put the track they couldn't call it "Monaco"?
@@mahiru20ten Well Spa is obviously in the f1 games by codemasters but that will come as a package under the f1 licencing so its different. Gt sport just wants the track.
But I know someone who might have the answer... its Ja Rule...but the bigger question now is
WHERE IS JA?!?!?!?
Mani 1610 It’s in Belgium.
Honestly I could do without Spa. What I do want however is either Laguna or to skip all this licensing nonsense, Trial Mountain.
StellWair fictional tracks are better than the real tracks if you think about it. Polyphony aren’t restricted they can build what ever track they want and even replicate parts of real tracks if they felt like it.
Second
@@ShanesAutos seems like it's where FIA comes in,pretty much all the fictional tracks in GT Sport are FIA grade 2 standard, probably their requirement
@@deadjuice3745 Well, Trial Mountain would be tough, but at least there are tracks like Apricot Hill that would go just fine.
I agree with everything but saying "its only lotus".
Now given the companies history they are pretty big as a legacy in motorsport. Imagine Lotus coming back with classic cars, sure today all they make pretty much are exiges and variants which paying a sum of licencing money wouldn't be worth it so I'd agree with your point but if we got some classic lotus f1 cars, Senna's jps lotus was even in gt6. Along with many other significant winner f1 cars, the lotus Cortina, Carlton, Elise gt1, Esprite gt1, Europa tbh I could list easily 10 cars I think most the community would love to enjoy. Then I think the licensing argument isnt just "its only Lotus".
For me I consider Lotus a far far bigger brand than Koenigsegg yet everyone wants that for one car, the one-one but I hope it personally doesn't come as they dont offer enough variety, something Lotus definitely can offer!
@@olavofernandes7286 How do you come to that conclusion? Look at Lotus pedigree/history in cars and motorsport then look at Koenigsegg..? im not talking about man power or funds.
I get what you say about Spa but if other franchises like Forza and Assetto Corsa are paying the fee then Polyphony’s lone protest won’t work
They want a high demand from gtsport compared to other games
And what about the weather features....
What about Daytona, Bentley & Koenigsegg?
Those cost money

In next update, add following cars:
BMW 120d '04, BMW M6 Gran Coupe '13, BMW M6 Coupe '13, Lotus Evora '09 (again cuz it's removed by FMecha), Audi TTS Coupe '09 (no idea what's the difference between 2014 TTS and 2009 TTS), BMW M6 GT3 (ADAC Motorsport) '16, Aston Martin Vanquish '04
Who else remembers El Capitan? beautiful track.
I think that the next big track coming to the game will be Indianapolis Motor Speedway, due to May being the Indy 500 month!
Goodwood motor circuit is already confirmed as the next track.
Now we just need Lotus
I love spa, one of my all time fav tracks... But pulling that move is uacceptable, I support PDs decision. I also belive that it benifits tracks to be in games, more than anything, the same for cars, it's good advertisement.
Wait, so you’re telling me that both have things fully developed and even the Lotus Evora was made in beta only to not make it in anyways because of their sudden greed?
Okay, *now* I’m fucking pissed!
That's why I mentioned at the end that this info could be a good, or bad thing to know about xD
I really want to drive around Spa in PSVR.
Spa, I can make do without it, thank you. Lotus on the other hand, their absence makes me sad given that they have been in all GT games since the beginning. Here's hoping that they can make a brilliant comeback to the series :).
Pd is using real tracks for free dlc right? What about Pikes peak? It's a real course and it would give something new to the rally sector of the game which is almost non-existent. I would like to see more rally courses thrown in gtsport. Wishful thinking I suppose. Have a nice day and thanks
Joe Dirt I heard PD had exclusive rights to Pikes Peak. Crazy how they've done nothing with it.
Oh really? That is interesting. I remember pikes peak from gt2. It was an amazing course back then.
Hammer I've gotten closer to you than I have any other TH-camr. Really appreciate and love the vids a lot man💯
Plus it makes me think, if spa is charging so much for their track.... Is that the same for Laguna Seca, deep forest, ascari, road America and the Riviera?
Hard to say with other circuits, but thanks. Glad you enjoy it here on the channel.
Spa is awesome, but where is SSR11?! we need it back
I fully agree. Arguably the best special stage route circuit.
I like spa! But if they are greedy..to hell with them!! Bring back Daytona or indy or give us road America or Laguna seca, mid Ohio,Sebring or the old fantasy tracks?. And lotus who cares!!.
"LoTuS wHo CaReS?¿?¿?¿?¿?".... well Aryton Senna drove in Lotus F1 Cars and we all know, WHO Senna was! The old Lotus racing cars are as iconic as Le Mans, Spa or the Nürburgring Nordschleife! Didn't you know that?
Ha Mid Ohio would be sick! Bet they wouldn’t charge as much as Spa or Monaco lol.
@@youdontneedtoknowmyname4417 no one really care about lotus as much as the other brands
@@youdontneedtoknowmyname4417 That was ancient history lotus is no more in F1 and much respect to senna ✌
what a stupid thing to say about Lotus. Do some research of thier history in motorsport. I care and I'd love to see; Lotus Cortina, Carlton, 49c, 72d, Senna's Jps f1 (was in gt6) Elise GT1 (go with the Mclaren f1 gtr) Esprite's, Evora gt4 are just a few worthy mentions.
Very informative video!
The Lotus question might be caused by the change of propriety, since in 2017-2018 they changed hands to Geely.
Then, wonder how much Microsoft/Turn 10/Playground has to pay for the appearance of Lotus cars in Forza.
more videos like this, i like to hear the politics, you could do informative ones about ones in the car industry and in motorsport
Glad you enjoyed it
I'd rather hope that pd put some effort into premiumizing their own original tracks such as trial mountain and deep forest, which are genuinely well designed...
The way I see it is that if it is true about Spa over pricing it then I don't want it in the game. It's my favourite track in F1 and one of my favourites along with Nurburgring and Le Mans
I don't want it to set a precedent where GT's options to make more money is to sell DLC in the next game
The fictional tracks they make are really good so if that helps with cutting costs I'm fine with them as well
Agree with Polyphony here & the principal of the matter, basically being held to ransom! So, Polyphony can say stuff you we’ll go for Laguna Seca instead! If tracks start to up their license fees then maybe it’s time Polyphony bring in classic fictional tracks like Trial Mountain until it’s sorted out!
We need more 4 door sedans
Yeah I'd second that. The Charger is lonely, lol
::: HammerStudiosGaming ::: c63 would be cool!

I really just want the old school tracks like Trial Mountain for gods sake. No licensing problems there.
Great and interesting video. So, Mike, what do you think in that regard about Opel? Me and a friend reach out to Kaz every year at the Nürburgring 24h event, if we can, and he usually is open to a quick chat. Last year he told my friend something like :"Opel is gonna come". Well, I have information that Opel is, or at least used to be in a similar position than Lotus, as you claim - wanting a rather hefty price for licensing, a price that, regarding the size or importance of the brand, is even more on the hefty side, as if they value themselves too high for what they actually are. Now according to the logic, PD might say they don't want to pay as much for a brand the size, and decide not to. But then again they have done since gt3 iirc, why not anymore. Maybe GM had a saying in it, and the choice of cars PD brought us from the brand was mostly odd ones, like the Vectra and Corsa, they weren't OPC or GSi models, when they could have been. Even if GM somehow held back on giving out licenses, the Opel and Vauxhall brands are now owned by PSA, and it seems that they have much more liberal views on licensing and good relationships with PD and Kaz, both Peugeot and Citroën cars are currently in GT Sport! Maybe these thoughts are worthy of a video?
Interesting. Seems strange for Opel to feel that way, if they do
@@HSGAutomotive For what I can say, they do. I got that information from a manufacturer for model cars, those you'd find used for model railways, that kind of stuff. This guy complained about how Opel wanted more for their licensing than other brands. And I just assumed this would apply for licensing in digital model use aswell. I know this is vague, but it's what I can tell from my experience.
I agree whole heartledly not to cave to the extortion like tactics in the license for Spa it truly sets a risky precedent that could open the door to PD needing to go back to the end users to offset the additional cost Say goodbye to your free DLC?
Do more of these and they’ll probably add them later when they make a deal.
Such a pity. I was really looking forward to a possible future lotus update
TO ME, Lotus has always complicated since the 80s even with identity car problems; a collaboration with Opel.. Chapman death....that dying english brand have now a new chinese owner...and Chineses on business are... complicated? ( cars names as "Landwind X7"?.. the Zotye SR9 ?.. the "BAIC BJ80"..)
This is just another great example of Japanese philosophy. Just like Arai helmet does. They don’t care who you are, a 4 time F1 world champion or a driver on his debut, they all get the same spec of helmets for the same price.
Do you have any news if spa and lotus might be in gran turismo 7.
Unlikely to say the least.
I figured Lotus wasn’t in the game cause Lotus stands for “lots of trouble usually serious”
Totally agree disappoint at spa for being greedy it's a great track but there are other great tracks in the game and some which will hopefully come and lotus not bothered that much seems there shooting them selves in the foot
I'd love to survey the we want Spa PD sux crowd and ask them if they're willing to pay $5-7 for it and see if they still want it lol
Wonder how much did the owners ask that Polyphony didn't want to pay, where other developers could pay them. Did they charge Polyphony with a higher rate or something?
And it seems it's also time to maybe address about other questions of "why brand/car X/track Z is not in Gran Turismo but present in other games?", for example Koenigsegg, newer GT cars and the Sebring track.
well he said in the video, 3 times the average rate. Unacceptable and rather never see Spa, good on Poly! It sets a dangerous president if they accept the ridiculous disproportionate pricing and would only give other frankly far more important tracks reason to quadruple their prices.
Koenigsegg have nothing to offer and tbh probably want to much money, the agera and one-1 is all people want. They dont even have a motorsport history. I rather Lotus, much bigger brand and history and far more variety of cars.
@@steveazyb2595 Having some Segg on N800-N1000 seems fine, though.

Well, I'm not completely wrong, but fuck... SPA is asking too much.
Does Laguna Seca, the Mazda motorway, maybe has the same problem as Spa
Its possible, but they've been quiet about it if so
@@HSGAutomotive I think its true that Spa shouldnt ask more then Le Mans or Nürnburgring but they need to finance their events, to keep f1 going and so, but I hope they can agree something
Man I wish we had that Merc.. want more touring cars
At this moment in time I would be happy to pay for a dlc track pack if it means I get what I want faster. For the original £45 I think they have done well with free updates but I am fed up waiting for new track content. Just take my money, I am willing lol
How is lotus being greedy for asking the same pay as other manufactures
Because they have like 3 cars that anyone wants, were as, for example, BMW has twice that many desirable cars.
I still don’t see why that means it’s ok to be underpaid. Seems we all want lotus
As I said in the vid, the evidence we have doesn't necessarily suggest that they asked for the *same* money as others. It could have just been *more* money than they (Lotus) were initially getting. And the reason why that is 'greedy' (or at the very least ill-advised) is because they have far less relevance and contribution to the automotive world than brands such as Ford or Mercedes have.
Spa's loss. Plenty of other tracks that could be used and get exposure to younger players or old alike. Even with cars in game at the moment with the addition of just tracks would boost playership in itself.
I wish Gt sport would add EVO and Subie
Buhle Buthelezi They already have them
Buhle Buthelezi They already have them
Noname no all of them we don't have evo 6 or the 9 yet.
What I don't get is, why does Polygon need licensing at all? I mean, modders bring out tracks for free and don't need to pay for a license. Polygon does the same and it's not like they sell it with the game. Sometimes, copyright laws are really foolish
Its kinda like how kit cars don't have to be crash tested, but production cars do, lol
Lotus are missing a trick here, because having cars in games like Gran Turismo is great advertising for the brand. Japanese performance cars and tuners wouldn't be anywhere near as popular in the west as they are now without this game.
Car brands are silly for trying to block their cars from being featured in Gran Turismo, it's called advertising, how did alot of petrol heads first discover alot of brands, via racing games ofcourse!
Are the reasons stated here similar to why Koenigsegg has no brand representation? I've wanted them to have a presence in the game for a long while.
The directors of the race track are killing easy publicity by holding the track to ransom
Lotus was in the Gran Turismo Sport Beta and why is not here in the full game
Olavo Fernandes Because of the financial issues
Probably Turn 10 pays that much and they set as a norm
who knew that track and car licensing could be so dangerously expensive. well it's not Polyphony's fault, the people who made them are just out for that 💰💴💵💶💷💸💳💹💱💲. at least it's more justified than Forza and EA.
Modern day Spa ain't all that great anyway. Would be great to have the old street circuit though but that sure isn't worth double or triple the asking price of other venues.
They have the Tesla licence put the original roadster into the game. Bam lotus Elise except electric.
I don’t get Spa’s reasoning. Surely whatever the price, it’s pure profit for them? Their loss.
Lotus is a small brand from motorsport view? Excuse me?
Name 10 Lotus models currently in production.
@@HSGAutomotive Nowadays it's small, but Lotus is one of the most important brands of motorsport history, maybe they produce less cars but i would call it small from motorsport or historical view. However I think many people miss the old skool gt feel with all the rare, less known cars like Tommy Kaira, Ruf, Venturi etc.
If we're talking price per model there is no reason why Lotus should be paid less than everyone else ,
Unlikely
