Moskvich is just so nice i love their look along with Lada, my dad had a Lada Riva when i was a kid and that's how i fell in love with older cars, especially nowadays where new cars are filled with DPF and other crap, my go to car will be a Petrol car for sure.

Must be very early Moskvich 408. Any body numbers still present? Friendly word of advice: if your window glass or paint is full of dust, pressure wash it off with water. Never dry to rub the dust off dry it will cause permanent damage to the windshield. Ask me how I know. Love the color of this car.

Okay....why is there a hole in the front bumper under the license plate? The body styling on these cars reminds me of Peugeot cars. @@pilskadden not only for starting, yes you can do that as well but as it is engine where you need to adjust valves time to time it makes sense to have crank hole to make easy turn the engine by hand.

All parts are available for Lada 2101-2107 in the countries of the former Soviet Union. In the West, parts for some models are no longer available twenty years after the end of production.

This hole needs for hand starter.
The hole is for inserting a hand crank for starting the car by hand if the battery is weak. Typical for old Soviet cars. Old Ladas also have that.
