Straordinaria nei fiati e nel personaggio, lontana da effetti speciali, una Leonora emozionante a suo agio nel complicato Teatro di Orange, interprete magnifica! Grazie!
Thanks for this video, La superba, la regina del pianisima, la simpática, any ot these nicknames could be possible. Fortunately the past, present and future ot the opera will be full of excellent singers. Thanks to all of them too.
...and we are left with the worst ahahahhahahahaha But you see, if we dont criticize them people think that the ones left without criticism are flawless... Montsy was being considered flawless for yeaaaars.... I personally find her singing Divine but so full of flaws it is phenomenal
@@LohengrinOyour uploads are useful but your attempts as a critic of art are not. You’re entitled to your opinion but be assured that in the future histories of singing that will be written, you will not be quoted.
I sincerely wish she had sang Forza in the early 70s but we work with what we have. As ever, some divine musicality from Caballe amid some more dodgy bits (she is completely behind the orchestra singing the first Bb5 lol)
I’m glad she didn’t sing this Leonora as this aria is the only highlight in a rather ungrateful role set in a decidedly second rate and confused opera (even by Verdi’s standards). Instead, from the 70s we have a live Salomé (on video of the period), an absolute tour de force of vocalism and acting….yes, acting. Just wondering…do you know how roles she performed on stage? She sang entire roles in operas you’ve never even heard of. The constant bashing of singers is sadly typical of a certain set of “experts”.
Her notes are indeed lovely. Renata Tebaldi also had glorious high pianissimi notes. (I refer especially to the conclusion of her "Ave Maria" in Otello.)
@@fido652Natural echo is a cheat... but I love it.. Birgit sang her Isolde here... Maria sang her first Medea under Gui with Echo -Divine.... but Echo remains a cheat after all Montse was the Queen of Cheats
The scene "Sono giunta!... Madre pietosa" is nice despite some strident high notes, but the "La regina degli angeli" next to the Tebaldi of the previous video, is rather weak. It's a bit a bad match for Caballe.
Quel pur bonheur d'entendre cette version de 1082. Merci à Lohengrin pour ce sublime cadeau.

Brava , eterna mágica, que más decir de esta gloria de España.❤
No one can float pianissimi like La Superba! 👍😊
I usually think of Caballé’s voice as a crystal bell that has the ability to become an outrageous sound when necessary. Amazing!
A queen 👑

It always amazes me how we criticize the best. It use to upset me, but now, thanks to you I just enjoy it.
Thank you, and this is my night cap. ❤️

@ you are, of course, correct. ❤️
@@LohengrinOIf any student of singing at any school makes any of her tricks that student would probably be dismissed. Hahahah and I love her.

1982 I think with Paul Pliska. Superb as always...♥

La forza del destino i Montserrat Caballé -czy z 1982roku? - Boże ,czas jak rzeka. Niech spoczywa w pokoju La Superba.
Αυτή και ο Κορέλλι, με τον έλεγχο αναπνοής που είχαν, θα έκαναν για καλοί δύτες!
Ευχαριστώ, φίλε Τεό.

Why was she always at her best at Orange?
The echo of the theatre made her voice sound 3-dimensional
@@LohengrinO I always wondered if that breeze somehow refreshed her as she sang !

It is post 1980 I have already posted her earlier. 1980 was a point in her voice
@@LohengrinO Oh thanx I will check your video of her earlier. For sure pre-1980 Caballe was flawless.
Caballe had many pairs of gloves, but this one is simply too big.
Thanks for sharing your solipsistic moment.
@sciagurrato1831 scholastic? Don't know about that.
