This man can play the guitar as good as anyone if ever heard, and I've spent 35 years watching every bit of guitar playing footage I could get my hands on. That chordal shit he was laying down over the backing track was some all time musicianship with flavor right there.
I used to take guitar lessons from a guy named Martin Gibson. He swore that was his real name. Maybe his name inspired him to take it up when he was very young.
Taylor is a brilliant guitar player but I don't think he has a great feeling for the blues. It all sounded very pedestrian, when he plays other styles he's on it.

I agree. Although he is primarily known as a Jazz Guitarist, I’ve seen videos of him jamming and shredding rock and blues with the best of them.
Doesn't the Blues Scale include the flat 5 added to the Minor Pentatonic?
Rich Salomon yes I agree
Absolutely and I'm not sure why he didn't mention it. Of course someone of Martin Taylor's calibre doesn't even need it - lol.
Rich Salomon min
Minor pentatonic scales
I can't help but hum melodies over when he's playing lol I love his playing
... and I love it!
Does Martin Taylor use a Gibson
You might be confused there. Taylor Gibson plays a Martin.

When your name is Martin Taylor you are obligated to play guitar.
ahhh the more "twittly" stuff!

He's not playing - he's teaching, that's something very different.
