    Don’t be fooled by Martin’s very basic way of teaching. I saw him with Stephane Grappelli many years ago and again as a solo act at a small theater in Tucson, AZ. He is an extraordinarily accomplished guitarist who can dazzle you with technical virtuosity and draw you in with magically melodic lines and harmonic structures. Beyond that, he radiates a warm, playful and always genuine spirit that makes him immediately likable. His performances are among the best I've ever seen. He’s a beautiful player and a beautiful man. And, this is a great lesson, even if on the surface it seems rudimentary.

      Well you know how the saying goes: if you can’t explain it easily to someone else, you didn’t understand it yourself.
      Keep them coming mr. Taylor!

    Can someone clue me in here. I gather that the music to go with this video is published in Guitarist magazine. Is that correct? I'd like to have the music to go with this but I don't want to spend $16 for a back issue unless I'm sure. Also, he says this is the first of six lessons. Are these monthly installments through Guitarist? Perhaps it will be worthwhile to get a subscription. But, again I want to be sure I'm getting what I think when I pull out the credit card. Thanks.

    can anybody tell me the reason why b is harmonized as bm7 is it because its the second chord of the scale and every maj chord turns into dom chord because of the blues perspective

    • @warningchimes24
      @warningchimes24 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's because Bm is the second chord of the scale and in jazz you use every chord with their respective 7ths.

    • @debashistherockstar
      @debashistherockstar 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@warningchimes24 but why is every major chord turned into a dom7 chord in a jazz blues format leaving the turnaround or the walking chords

    Are these arch tops easyer to hold the strings down than an acoustic if you buy a good one?

    • @mrblank-zh1xy

      They have an adjustable bridge but generally no. You have to build up titanic hand strength if you want to play jazz for real
