Arguably the greatest fingerstyle Jazz guitarist of our time.....justBrilliant playing, with constant moving lines.
You should watch him and tommy Emmanuel play, just phenomenal
+Steve Longobardi Check out Walter Rodrigues Jr playing this song on utube .
i think he and Walter Rodriguez Jr, and Tommy Emanuel are the Three best since the Master Joe Pass.
Stride guitar!!! I love Martin's mastery of playing "busy" without sounding busy. It's a perfect balance.
Just watched Martin for the 80,000 time and still love his rendition. I wonder who the other 1100 viewers are?
The supreme jazz master at his best. An Absolutely stunning performance Sir !!
+John Metcalf A guy called Walter Rodrigues Jr also plays a fine rendition of this classic and can be viewed via utube.
Martin you are so Blessed with talent. Wow
One of the best!!!!
Thanks for such a nice compilation!
Incredible.
Is this man underrated or something.
+Tony Field actually, that's what you get when you have your name named after two great guitar manufacturers. :)
+Tony Field Check out this song being played by a guy named Walter Rodrigues Jr .
Not close. Rodrigues is a good technician for sure - but M.T. has far more ideas, takes more risks, injects a little humour, and no one can or could play multiple parts - not even Joe Pass
Wow! After hearing that,I had to put my guitar down and cry. Fantastic performance. Back to the drums I go .lol
genius
Martin is fantastic. Joe Pass lives on!
I have that kind of a chair in my kitchen :)
+Matic Kotnik lol
genio!!!!
The Art Tatum of jazz guitar. Play this for any fledgling student and they'd swear they're listening to 2 guitarists.
For a professional, it may be a trio - Benson, Atkins and Klugh.
Bravo !
woww
...il maestro
...faul ich denn ab!!! Was für ein Meister!

QUEL SWING LIKE A BIG BAND !!!!
He played with Grapelli...two jazz giants.
Martin Taylor but he uses neither
Who wrote this?
Was it Martin?
It's by George & Ira Gershwin - dates from 1937
Adda Piffer Thx man
Mathew Sloan all those years ago in Paris ... he replaced the guy who replaced the Great Django in Grappelli's band. Truly is mind-blowing
Joe Pass incarnated ...
I was just going to post your comment when I noticed you beat me to it. Oh so true.
