is this build better than the smg unstable bomb (the vector, forgot the name of it)? I got the smg together with the legendary top piece for delay unstable bomb dmg but i dont know what other pieces/weapon to use with it.
Did some testing on both Jaws (de) and Little jaws (smg). Little jaws does about the same DPS as long as you don't miss your unstable procs because if you miss at least 1 you're losing a lot on damage. Shaman Vulture Top seems to work better than Explosive Front Top for the SMG (I might need a little more testing tho). I switched from the SMG to Jaws DE since the DE is easier to use and doesn't eat up your ammo.
In my opinion, this build is better than the smg unstable bomber just because it's easier to proc the blast. Also, the weapon mod is better for this pistol as it refills 10% of your magazine per proc of unstable bomber. Make sure your total magazine is at 20 so it refills 2 ammo per proc.
If you're also using Jaws, then you might need to check your cradles and mods. Jaws is very good in pve. Maybe not the best in terms of dps, but it's surely up there.

It's the long axe melee weapon, and it has an effect where it can trigger fortress warfare when doing a heavy attack. You can cancel the heavy attack animation by switch weapon and it will still activate fortress warfare. I have the cradle where it gives me an extra 40% weakspot damage when I'm in fortress warfare. Hope that helps!
I thought my 10-15k per hit is good, but this is far better than what I have :( Also my violent rolls are at 15% with my gun mod is at 8% elemental dmg
@@TerVentures This is also 40k with no buff / deviant. The dps in the dummy is very deceiving though. I always see someone getting 70-80k dps in dummy but when it comes to monolith runs / silos / prime war, they're not getting much. It's always better to test your damage in practice and not just rely on the training dummy.
Are you serious? You dont need any calibration for Crossbow AT ALL, because you use it only for The Bulls Eye buff. It will 100% gives you the buff if you hit a weakspot even without any calibration.
It is dropped at SILO EX1. But mine was dropped at prime wars (pro & nightmare) which gives you unstable bomber substats. You need to be pretty lucky though.

You must hit headshots/weakspots, you must be in the zone of no dmg for 4seconds to recieve big buff, you must land your bow shot. In Laymans take no dmg, miss no shots, and deal massive dmg with Time on Target to the weakspot. No weakspot bosses this build falls short.
I usually just change my helmet mod from deviation expert to fateful strike when it comes to bosses that are hard to hit weakspots or no weakspots at all. Just like what I did when I soloed LEA. Since there are a lot of mobs and boss weakspots are hard to hit, I used fateful strike and it still slaps.
@@Badphiltv Totally! I also found the wildfire pistol easier to use than the crossbow and overall a better option in my opinion since it's easier to proc bulls eye with it.
@@aleorgg I don’t use the vuln 8% mark on it though, I use the Recover mark, also if you mouse button the melee ability you can proc swap fortified without needing to utilize the 3 key at all. Makes for your time on target uptimes to be better.
What build are you rocking right now? Maybe I can help. As far as I know, every build that I saw was pretty good in PVE. Just gotta build right for it. Also, starchrom doesn't purge. It transfers next season.
You are using recurve bow but instead you swung your axe for damage buff? What is that? Does the ace have a special mod or why do I keep seeing people with axes ?
I swung my axe first (right mouse button) to activate fortress warfare. I'm using the cradle where you get extra 40% weakspot damage when you're in fortress warfare.
@@ApolloWhitexo Whilst true, you can actually build both. You do not need any weakspot damage from your mods, you can get it from the cradle alone. You will do a ton more damage with crit and weakspot as both of those are additive. This is why I do not recommend fateful strike with this build because you will do so much more damage when hitting a weakspot while critting.
@@Snerra01 Shrapnel is actually my 1st build. I swap out between these two so I don't get bored. Going to do shock & fast gunner builds next season if they don't get nerfed.

I got it from doing prime wars (pro or nightmare gives purple stats). If you're on a pvp server, then I don't know where you can get that.

What if the boss doesn't have weakspots?
Then you swap out the helmet mod to fateful strike. That's what I did when I cleared LEA solo. This build will still slap.

Crit damage is still better, but if you can't find one, go for status/elem/weapon damage for your mods.

Food buff used in this video is Assorted Canned Fruit. A better food would be Shattered Bread or Stargazy Pie. For drink, Whimsical Drink is the best.

I always see someone getting 70-80k dps in dummy but when it comes to monolith runs / silos / prime war, they're not getting much. It's always better to test your damage in practice and not just rely on the training dummy.

@@aleorgg one thing I realized while doing this is that jaws isn’t a weakspot weapon it’s more of a crit weapon due to explosions.
