This quad is phenomenal in your hands. It flys so nice indoors as well as outside. The 03 system looks great. Like you, I don’t see the need for mounting an external camera. I like the wide perspective especially when flying FPV. To me it enhances my peripheral vision for obstacles that might be lurking there. Thanks for the review👍👍👨🦳
Well done Captain Beard (AKA Captain Drone) !!; yes, the Beard is back !!!!! My Wife really does think it suits you !!!; what a superb little beast !!!; for us newbees to this this style of flying; could you explain the options for controllers ? (I have looked at a number of different ones however just trying to short cicuit the options) last but not least, I see Mr Owley is alive and "Well" !!!!!!
A BIG thank you to your wife for the nice compliment! If you wish to buy a controller (called a RADIO in the RC Hobby, but DJI calls it a controller and confuses everyone), you have to first pick what RECEIVER you will use for ever and ever. So in the FPV hobby, the best receiver for range that is not expensive is ELRS. So when you order a drone you order it with an ELRS receiver. This means the RADIO in your hands must also be ELRS. So you could go on RADIOMASTER or the JUMPER store and order an ELRS radio (the yellow one in my hands in this video is the RADIOMASTER BOXER).
Great review, i've been looking to get into fpv for quite some time now, watched a lot of reviews, and this looks like a good choice because the video quality is fantastic, and that was my main issue with a lot of the cheaper ones. What goggles and radio would i need to fly it with ?
The controller (also called a RADIO in most hobbies) works with a compatible RECEIVER. So if you have an ELRS RECEIVER in a drone, you can then use any ELRS RADIO on planet earth.
@ I think you are mixing things up. FPV GOGGLES work with the video signal, so if the signal is DJI DIGITAL then DJI FPV GOGGLES work. RECEIVERS work with compatible RADIOS, so if you have a certain radio and it is compatible with the receiver, it will work. GOGGLES and a RADIO are two separate things in the FPV hobby.
Hey!! Great videos. I’m new and I haven’t bought anything but my radio tx12 for tryp sim. What googles can I buy without getting into the dji. I’m scared about the ban. Thanks
Will this work with the tinyhawk 3 goggles and controller? Or do I have to buy other gear for it? And if I do have to buy new gear, please recommend me some budget options that would work with it.
This is the DJI O3 system, so that means you need DJI FPV Goggles (like the DJI FPV Goggles 2). For a RADIO, you simple match a RADIO to the RECEIVER, so in this video I ordered the drone with an ELRS RECEIVER, which means I can only then fly it with an ELRS RADIO. I used the RADIOMASTER BOXER ELRS RADIO (the Yellow one seen in the video).

@@DISABLED12-7 No, not at all. To fly properly it takes skill, so you’d have to work on that (practice on a flight sim). Not everyone can fly an FPV Drone because the brain to hand to eye coordination is not there, or it is there but it is much too slow. This is why DJI and their drones like the AVATA 1 and AVATA 2 exist. You can fly them in NORMAL and SPORT mode with GPS and OPTICAL FLOW and BAROMETER enabled. The fly time on this drone is fantastic. I am use to getting 3 to 5 minutes of flight times on my FPV drones. The video from the 03 looked beautiful. This is quite a nice drone. You did a great job pointing out its attributes. Thanks for the review. 👍👍👨🦳
Nice, but I am still looking for a beginner FPV with everything (RTF) for under $300. I've seen the Aquilla Beta Flight and some similar, but which one is really the best buy with great features, etc.? Suggestions?

@@CAPTAINDRONE798, you convinced me to buy the drone! I opted for the DJI 03 and ELRS. Is there a step-by-step on how to setup this configuration with my Jumper T15? Thank you, Captain!

Do you think TH-camrs have financial shares in companies and therefore they push many products EACH WEEK (like me I do 3 videos a week). How young are you exactly… especially with the fake puberty name from a fantasy TV Show… JOHN SNOW…. God, kids these days.
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 With that Canadian attitude, it will get you nowhere. I've been buying, selling and flying drones since Christ was a corporal. You should respect your elders and check yourself, before you wreck yourself. Last time I checked freedom of speech was part of the first amendment. Whether you new to the drone community or a seasoned veteran, every drone pilot or enthusiast wants to get the biggest bang for their buck which is why budget friendly drones with a decent flight time I think is more appealing to budget minded individuals. Paying $350.00 for a drone that only has a flight time of 15mn or less I believe isn't worth the $$$$, No matter how much one jumps up and down and say how fantastic it is.
