You can check the tensioner and re-tension the chain without removing the cover on this motor. Not many people realize this most tear it down to do that

I wonder if not having that TDC bolt affected that in any way. Even though you sounded confident that you found TDC. Regardless, awesome videos. I’m so glad you’re making these.

TDC does weigh on my mind I've thought about ordering a new bolt but I'm afraid that if the threads in the block are different that I'd just be wasting my money. I've replaced the valves in the head so I get to do it all over again. My next video I'm gonna go over all the available timing marks. whoever did the timing chain the first time may not have even taken the actuators off or even put them back on right. This timing setup is all new to me so I'm learning as I go. Thanks for watching.

It could be a couple different things but usually if you have two cylinders with no compression it's bent valves. This motor uses friction washers those slide at all your timings gonna go off and smash your valves. Another thing that could cause this is if your head gaskets blown between three and four and your compression is escaping into the other cylinder.

I just fixed them and sell them. I no longer own this vehicle. the valves were so dirty they wouldn't close causing me to lose compression. after I replace the valves it ran great but sold immediately. I asked the people to let me know if they have any problems. so far I've never heard anything back. thanks for watching

@@michiganmudmechanic ahhaa! Problems from the dirty valves. I think the problem come from the bad injector sealing. When this gone bad, then too much degrees in the combustion chamber and in this situation burning the valves and make the carbon deposits.

@@redbullf1hun you probably know better than me and I did replace the injector seals. So maybe that fixed it and not the new valves. But the valves weren't burnt just really dirty. I'm not a real mechanic I just like to challenge myself with stuff I've never done before.
