That's a sick release I might have to pick one up! Also been away from the tube for a while, but welcome to the Mathews clan, repping the yellow and black fits the Bee!
$300 doesn’t even come with a peg. Classic giving you less for more type of mentality. $10 for funky knob not sure if it even come with the metal screw to thread thru the knob or you have to buy the funky peg with the screw then buy the knob you want separately. Honestly I would prefer them sending me the release wrap in bubble wrap instead of that fancy cardboard box just include the stinking peg!!!!
You are going to give one of these away right??? I have never shot a hinge release. I shoot a thumb release now. I would like to get into a hinge but they are so EXPENSIVE. Thanks love the videos!
Hey Chris just recently subscribed to ur channel and really enjoying ur content. I'm new too archery but to put it simply there's something serious going on in my life and I'm using my time to do all the things I always wanted to do and compound archery is the main 1 for me. Im doing my best to afford everything its been a hard slog I tell ya haha. Wow. Archery ain't cheap bro. But anyway this release looks incredible. It's the 1 area I've struggled with the most. Release aids are crazy varied and expensive 👀 but I know it , this is the 1 for me and I want great quality stuff I can use and then leave to my son. Finding 1 of these in UK 🇬🇧 is hard enough but my main problem is the time. They all say 6 to 10 weeks orders and I need 1 now. And preferably at a good price. Can u point me in the right direction please? P.s. keep up the great work. Great videos. Regards Rob 🤜🤛
It’s my FAVORITE release and very affordable. I think it was 99 dollars. And when I’m not shooting that I shoot a basic true fire wrist strap style release that I can shoot just as good as the guy next to me with the 2/300 dollar release. Just find something you like and practice with it. People get too wrapped up in gear. There are traditional archers that shoot instinctively and with their fingers better than a lot of compound archers with expensive equipment and releases. Just because something is new and expensive doesn’t mean you need it or that it is better. Archery CAN be an expensive hobby but it doesn’t NEED to be expensive.
@@IMKINDOFABIGDEAL13 I actually ended up buying a victory plus by mybo. A thumb trigger and I love it but I've just literally 2 days ago bought a wise guy spot hogg and I'm just waiting on my rx7 ultra coming back from a limb replacement at my bow shop so really looking forward too using this 1. Thanks for the comments guys. Really appreciate any tips and advice
@@the4thamigo funny. my bow is in the shop for a limb pocket right now. Right when my season started my range finder quit so I had to buy a new one and then the next day my limb pocket broke. I’ve hunted 1 day so far and my tag closes on the 4th of November. That’s alright I’m waiting on some rain to stir these deer up a bit. It’s been unusually warm and dry this fall in Oregon
Let's say a brass two, three and four finger inserts for the brass release and a aluminum two, three and four finger insert-for the aluminum release. Just a thought
@@Timberghost74 dang...for $200/$300 you would think they would come with a few different color options and styles. Especially how cheap it is to 3d print those peds.. I agree with some other comments, prices on all archery equipment is getting out of control.
I was going to say that this is not so much different than the Tru Fire Sear, but the micro adjust feature is pretty cool...and I bought the Sear, so....hmmm. \
Chris can you do a video on hinge newbies I bought one last year but was scared to death to try in on my Hoyt Rx3 pulling 80lbs but I like the idea of it
I think that all hinge releases should have some safety while drawing the string. I shouldnt be that difficult to add some function that avoids sending the arrow by mistake. Until then I’m just gonna stick with a button release.
@@iwilrage that is why Archery isn't growing that fast. The prices of bows are the price of a nice rifle and everything else is going up like crazy too.
Man I gotta a propert I hunt in Indiana that I would love to see you hunt man it right by the proving grounds so during the rut I see the giants come out I’ve probably seen over 200 deer there this year
Is there anything out there for people that can’t afford $300 for a release lol 😂 I thought i was going to pass out when i paid $100 for mine back in the 90s
They send a bunch of different screws with the barrels, why not one that is the correct length for their own release so the end isnt sticking out the other side?
@@bobbykidder9050 Wrong. This release is 249 for the aluminum, and 299 for the brass. Everything else, like the thumb pegs, click/ no click hooks, are all extra. It is a very good looking release, and I would love to try one, but the price point is higher than anyone else.
$200-$300 and it doesn't come with a thumb peg and the screw sticks out the other side of the thumb peg that you had to pay extra for? I mean I don't mean to be picky but at that price I think I have a right to be.
Very nice. Would like to see it come with a thumb stud that matches the stock finger extension of the body. Then you can customize if you want. The plastic looks cheap on a $300 release
These are styled for younger archers. Younger archers A. Dont have 200.00 for a release they may not love. Additionally they have to spend more to complete the release. sorry hate to be a hater b iui t this things bound for clearance section on lancaster
The adjustability and multiple configurations is great. The extra thread length of the screw for attaching the barrel has me wondering.
That is fixed
I just ordered one the other day and I’ve rewatched this video like 5 times😂😂 I’m so hyped

As an archer I really want one. As a machinist working in a small tool and die shop 300$ is insane
I love the new hinge from ultra view it is the most comfortable release I have ever held in my hand I would give it a five star review
Super clean. Awesome machining. Wouldn't mind getting into a hinge release
What size click do you use ? The .020 seems a little slow , but not sure weather to go a .016 or a .014.
What size do you shoot? I’m going to buy one but wandering what size to go with?

What's your opinion on the brass vs. aluminum? Is it just preference whether you like the heavier or lighter feel?
That position over the middle finger is like a stan..I used to love it but it does cause hinges to hang but they feel great
Looks Awesome, I have always wanted a release like this . Thanks Brother , have to look into this one for sure .
When is your bow build vid
I just ordered one of these. They are all sold out of thumb pegs. Not sure how I am going to like shooting a release without one!
Chris bee you’re the best! Your videos inspired me and my buddy to start a TH-cam channel of our own. Thanks for all the great video content!
how do you get them releases they look good
Awesome release!! Looks like a super solid design. That brass one is sleek looking, Is it going to come in any other colors/finishes?
Are those medium or large ones ?
Could you do a video discussing why use a hinge relies and talk about the benefits and why you use the type of release you use?
What size Allen wrench do I need to put on a funky finger
Is the thumb peg ambidextrous or do we lefties have to order a different release?
Like the way the brass one looks

Try the spot Hogg whipper snappper. Nobody needs a hinge.

Absolutely. Best hinge release Ive ever used.
Is it a back tention or thumb trigger

Too bad I can't find this release in my country.
It would be too expensive anyway, I couldn't buy it.
Chris, I'm glad to watch your movies.
I may have to try one of these, the pricing seems competitive as well.
$ 300 for the release is a decent amount... for 170$-190$ I would buy one. the look is great and the shape too
What’s the weight difference between the aluminum and brass release?
What is the hardest thing about shooting competitive?
Do they come with a peg? Or do you have to purchase a peg separately? I think I need one!
Everything is purchased separately.

Have you ever run into any issues when hunting with this release?
what is the click speed on this bad boy? Sharp looking hinge!
Saw UV's video on it yesterday. I was wondering how long it would be till you put a video on about them. They look pretty sweet.👍👍
How do I contact someone at uv I've called the number on the website and left multiple messages over rhe last 2 months to try and get my release fixed
That is a killer release what a dope edit keep up the good work
Which hunt did you have it on??
does it come " without " a click ?
So clean! pumped to get my hands on one!
So when are they going back in stock

Is a back tension release? Or thumb
It’s a back tension
Does it have a safety
Mate are these American made?
Usually when you see those black boxes, whether it's a knife, flashlight or other, it's always made in China.
If you take the release silhouette and combin maybe 4 of them. You could make an antler logo. For the release..
That would be amazing.

When is the four finger going to be released?
You can add a fourth finger attachment
UltraView's website has been updated. Shows the 4 finger that is available.
So nice... but so expensive xD Maybe in a few years.
