Q: The diagnostic test says my HDD is not installed or to check cables?
A: That means your HDD may be loose or bad. Try 'Reseating' the HDD first as seen here in this video. Try the diagnostic test again. If it fails to change the scan, I would then replace the HDD and install an Operating System to the new one as seen here;

After 4 days of amost losing my senses over my laptop doing this, going through all the "quick fixes"..... Today, I finally have fixed it following your instructions. I ended up having to reload windows 10... It works now !!! Thank you for the videos!!!!!!

The use was from hard drive test, I had to open the laptop and fix the SSD well. I did this over three times watching other videos but yours assured me it was from my SSD not fixed properly

I nearly shed tears after watching series of videos and no result. The hard drive check assured me it was a hard drive issue, I opened my laptop and fix the hard drive properly and it solve the problem

Thank you it worked, i was one of the lucky ones. I paused at minute 2:20 and unplugged all devices. It started up well, but after I plugged the devices back in it went back to the same blue screen. I unplugged and tried again and it work, my computer it's old an HP Pavilion Dv7t. I was using an adapter for 5G service and that was the culprit👀😱

@PCMONKEY - Hi you never said what to do if your Short DST Failed. Mines Short Dst: FAILED but Smart DST: PASSED. PLEASE HELP SIR.
Is the only option to replace hard drive and redownload Windows?
@@javarisaustin257 At 8:58 I tell you what to do if your HDD fails the test. Its either loose or bad. I would frist reseat the HDD as seen here. If that does not help then yes, the HDD is bad and should be replaced.

Hey! I was watching ur last video about this, when i saw ur pinned comment. My problem is that pressing f1 doesn't bring up anything. Now, this is a really old hp computer, the model is hp 15-ba113cl. Its just stuck making noise and having the little loading dots going, and my cursor. All f1 does is lower my screen brightness

Do you mind doing a video on how to turn on computer if it's only black screen because I tried your other video and it did not work unfortunately. I think the problem was I charged for to long and the computer got really hot like it almost got fried and when I tried to turn it back on it won't turn on so pls if you have any idea how to turn it back on it would really help me. Also my computer is windows 10 surface Pro.
1. If the screen is black, what are the signs that the computer is on? Lights, Fan, Motherboard or Hard Drive sounds?

@@PC_Monkey when I click the on button it only shows the windows logo for 1 second then it turned of again, I tried many times but it still keeps popping up the same logo.

Hi, Do you have any videos for blue screen error SYSTEM THREAD EXCEPTION NOT HANDLED? I've got an HP and did a fresh install of Windows 10 on it. It worked ok for a bit but then shut down automatically for some reason and then rebooted. That's when it came up with that error. Didn't take me to the login screen so I'm stuck in this loop that keeps taking me to the System Thread error blue screen. Any advice how to fix this would be great. I've already done the memory test and hard drive passed.

6 days ago I've got an error in laptop saying "Your Windows Insider Build ran into a problem and
needs to restart. We're just collecting some error info
and then you can restart."
And it start showing BSOD in laptop I tried a lot of steps to sort it out but I was unable to do that.
Then I took a Sandisk Cruzer Blade 16GB pendrive and I made that pendrive as bootable by using an Android application called "ISO2USB" by downloading the Windows 10 ISO file and I tried to install new Windows I did everything which required to do that installation process but still I'm getting the "No bootable device found " everytime. 😢
If you can please help me solve this issue.

Hey i have a hp630 laptop i want to upgrade it from hdd to ssd i purchased ssd and installed it in the laptop and it says that hard disk not detected then i installed the ssd in another hp laptop and installed windows on it works just fine then i again installed the ssd in the main laptop and go to windows setup and there i can see a unallocated drive i tried allocate it and got a error do you have any solution for this ??
I get a spinning white circle only even after following each steps TH-cam posted .NO mouse or selections show! Nothing! Pain in the he ass! And someone have to be a master to open up the computer or it will be WORSE than hell to work! Pain in the ass! ...‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️

Hi. I have a blue screen of death Loop since I had to do a windows update and restart the laptop. Before that I run in the cmd sf scannow to remove any bad files, I've been trying a lot of things, first I did the hard drive test (in my case it shows up as storage test) did both tests but it says "Storage Quick/Extensible Test : PASSED" I tried restarting but nothing. I tried also other things in the Your PC did not start correctly menu, I tried to startup repair but that just continues the Loop, then I tried to use the command prompt but it required the password of my account, no problem I just would enter it... It says that the password is incorrect. The same goes for system restore and unistall updates. My bios wasn't bad either. It has the correct date... I even tried startup settings and the loop still continues! Please I need your help I tried everything.

If the Date/Time settings keep changing and will not stay on the correct time, BIOS may be losing power every time you restart the computer. I was restated to computer to be freshly new and then it gave me blue screen of death during the reset and now it’s also giving me this error code battery counterfeit check error and when I click continue it just goes to blue screen again it’s like a loop I have hp11 PLSS helppp
My screen gets stuck and glitches right after the logo appear sometimes it takes sometime to get stuck, I don't know what's happening, running anything is hard cause the screen freezes completely after that. Please help.

@@PC_Monkey yeah I have tried most of the things but the thing is you know during the process the screen just freezes, nothing works. There is a constant glitch, either in short intervals of time or just regular.
Hey, my left shift key hasn’t been working for a while and it used to only work when I press it really hard, now it doesn’t work anymore, what do I do?

Hp laptop 14-dk1025wm , SSD fine , windows 10 boot drive on usb. Ram is good and tested, so is the SSD. Everytime i try to boot off.of the usb i get the " driver PNP Watchdog error" i have tried legacy boot, toggling virtualization on and off, tried arranging boot order, disabling secure boot, swap drives and boot usb, nothing seems to make it work.

I have Dell Inspiron…When the laptop boots up it shows “Preparing Automatic repair” then after few seconds, it shows BSOD with different stop code errors each time such as “System Thread Exception Not Handling” “Kernel Check Failure” or “Kmode Exception Not handling” and this loop continues by itself..Please Help..

@@PC_Monkey yes i have tried these steps and many other steps to make it work but no vain. For the issue part, yes the windows updated about few days before this disaster and i was playing a game on jt so the fan side for few seconds (2,3) threw some dust out so i disassembled and cleaned up everything(no liquid involved) and the fan started working fine but this “Exception Not handled” stuff started to appear since then. I did the diagnostics from the boot setup and all components were working fine..then i tried and could load up the laptop on safe mode but now it doesn’t even show the options of list as it used to. It just boots up showing “Preparing Automatic Repair” then after fews seconds shows BSOD and this loop continues
@@iamamv1613 If the computer was working before entering it, then the fist assumption would be something was made loose or damaged when you were in there. Double check the connections inside, specifically the HDD links to make sure they are secure. If they are and if the diagnostic test is still passing the HDD, I would then try to reinstall the OS as seen here;

@@PC_Monkey i indeed double checked everything and i ran diagnostics as well and all the components of laptop were shown OK/Fine..But this “Exception Not Handled errors” began popping up and i could only successfully go back in “safe mode” but then it stopped after a while and starting showing “Preparing Automatic Repair” and then moving to BSOD..I will try this window procedure tomorrow. before that, could you please tell me that the data would be secured in doing the reinstallation ?

1. This video is for an HP computer. You would need another function key for your Asus. Have you tried all the function keys?

Hi. A couple of weeks ago, my hp pavilion 15-cs0058odb would give me a low memory for internal battery message upon turning it on. I would hit enter and start it up anyway. Today, when I tried to turn it on the power button light cut on and off. When it finally came on, it ran the percentage like it was updating and it went to my screen where I enter my passcode. My screen came up as normal but then turned black. I forced it off. Then when I turned it back on I got the blue windows screen with the frown,qr code, and stop code INACCESSIBLE BOOT DEVICE. It says it ran into a problem and needs to restart. It will restart for you. It cuts off for a few seconds and then I get the hp screen and preparing automatic repair. I took the back off and removed the battery and ordered a new one. I turned it back on and it is still going thru the above. I was only able to get a menu to pull up once with the escape button but when I chose an option, I got the preparing auto repair again. I just left the battery out. I am stuck in the loop.

@@PC_Monkey Nothing happened physically. It initially was running through an update when I first turned it on yesterday. It gave me no option to update, it automatically did it. Today I was able to get the main menu to pull up and tan every test I could. Hard drive and everything else was ok/passed. On the last one with updating the bios, I had to walk away from it and when I returned it was back on the black screen with preparing auto repair

@@PC_Monkey I was able to get to get windows 11 on a usb and tried to install. It went to the setup screen then when I got to the step of upgrade to save my files etc or custom, I chose upgrade and it takes me to a window that says compatibility report, it says 5e upgrade option isn’t available if you start your computer using installation media. Please remove the installation media and restart your computer. After computer has started normally, insert the installation media and run setup. I have no idea how to run setup doing it this way.
@@shanabell8711 The computer may not want to install Win11 that way. It may think that your computer isnt compatible with Win11. Can you find any Repair or Recovery options in BIOS?

@@PC_Monkey I came into my work room to use it and it just wouldn’t go past the HPscreen….I try to use f11 to factory reset the computer I only had it about 3 months or so…now it’s saying something about a bitkey.

What in the actual fu**. I have tapped every damn key on keyboard. I can NOT factory reset my pc. I have watched every tutorial, tips, etc video i can find. I have 4 slots for memory, and i have found that 1 (seems to be) bad. With my sticks in 1/3, it failed on 1...so, i switched to 2/4. Still stuck in repair loop, but now passes quick test, when it didnt when installed in 1/4. I want to just factory reset, but i cannot for the life of me find how to factory reset. To backtrack, my PC is an Omen 30L w/Ryzen5 5600g and a 3060...i later added 2 sticks (compatable) and replaced gpu with a 3060ti. It worked fine for a while, then i had a power outage (probably during an update) and been stuck in repair loop ever since. I ran quick test on components, and dimm4 failed. So, i removed the 2 i added, and moved remaining 2 to dimm1 and 3. After that, it passed test. Still, stuck in loop. So, i have been trying to do a restore, or factory reset, and its just non existent. Do i need to replace mobo? Am i missing something? Do i need to put old gpu back in? Im so lost, and frustrated. Idk what more info is needed, but i can give more if needed. I can just take it to a shop, but i was trying to avoid that. Anyone down to help?

Everything else works but once I get to the system restore menu it BSODs

I have this same issue. I ran the HD check and it passed but then I ran a memory check and it failed! Would this be causing it to still BSOD?
@@phoenix_coils8217 In some computers yes, it may. I assume you have two RAM sticks? Try removing one at a time and running the scan again until you pass the scan. Odds that both are bad are low. Let me know how that goes :)

What if the short dst fails

I downloaded anaconda for python in d drive but I had enough space additionally yesterday last I was creating environment in anaconda prompt for power bi and then I switched off my laptop, after that it couldn't start it's showing preparing automatic appear.
I tried system diagnostic it passed memory test it also passed hard drive both test but showed long and short dst and long dst not available.
I tried window os boot manager (uefi) windows boot manager (ssd128gb ) also but it's again showed preparing automatic repair.
I tried f11system recovery also but it's showing please wait not proceeding further
