      Hola Nike! You are one who inspired me. I always love how you mix with locals. You speak languages. And that opens doors. I'm starting to puck up some Creole here. And what a difference it makes. That drone has stressed me out on many occasions. It wasn't easy to fly in that wind, but since there was so much sand i took the chance. I suppose you know what i mean. You have a drone too, yes? Msny thanks for your kind comment. You're an inspiration for many:-)

    Was that a Roman Arch (13:37).
    It has been historically recorded that, according to Pliny the Elder, the Greek Xenophon of Lampsacus stated that the "Gorgades" (Cape Verde islands) were situated two days from "Hesperu Ceras" (modern day Cap-Vert), the westernmost part of the African continent, showing a knowledge of the area by the Romans.

    • @WindedVoyage
      @WindedVoyage  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, that was a recent structure. Interesting history about Cape Verde. They say it was uninhabited when the Portuguese came. There were aborigines in the Canaries, why not Cap Verde. Descendants of past discoverers such as Romans or mother sailors.

    Captain Alex: looks like you an Nat are having a ball. In your last video did you ever get back to the fellow that was cutting the pork for the cabobs. It looked like he knew what he was doing.
    Happy New Year, Jefe & 1st mate

      If you watch an earlier episode, we were enjoying the music, ambiance snd the pork scewers. I've been back there several times with different sailors all the way from UK to NZ. Everyone loved it!

    Great stuff.
    If I may ask... how can you afford a lifestyle like this?
    Pension fund?
    Working online?
    Life’s savings?
    Inspired and would like to know! 👍🏻

    • @WindedVoyage

      I could not afford my lifestyle back on land. Now I live on less than thousand per month. And that is thanks to my wonderful Patrons.

      Just be careful Alex. There's a danger when you taste brown sugar, even if your name is not Louie, you could still fall in love overnight...

    You are to trusting of strangers for my comfort zone If my woman road off with a stranger she would not need to come back, Just keep going and keep what ever you picked up on your way. I think AIDS and HIV runs rampant in these African Country's you are a brave or foolish man only time will tell. Sorry But I had To say something you need to be carful out there.

    • @WindedVoyage
      @WindedVoyage  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Trust is liberating. And Nat is not "my" woman. She is free and trusting of people. More doors have open due to trust. As far as AIDS, you get that when you screw people. So far trust and not screwing people has been a wondeful formula to meet real and beautiful folks.
