I don't live in Finland but I'm fascinated by this country and I am actually right now in the middle of making my own korvapuusti! I'm waiting for the dough to rise. I wish I saw your video half an hour earlier, mixing sticky dough with wooden spoon is probably easier than by hand, haha :D
Im from finland and i baked korvapuusti only 1 time in my life, because its has lot of work to do and result was not so tasty. Easier to buy it from the shop and spend 1-2€. Usually i make pizza , asian flavored pot or mexican style food in my kitchen.
Nice video of something that many Finnish people have done as a child with their families. The only thing is that the way I was taught to make the buns is to turn the narrow end of the trapezoid upward and then press it with two fingers until you almost go through the dough to the table. :)
Just by looking at the difference at how Japanese and Finnish dishes are made it kinda looks like Japanese require a lot of precision whilst Finnish dishes require muscle Making food with fish is kinda fun, though my least favorite part is deboning the fish, it takes so much time depending on the fish. I loved the universal NO? when you asked if you should remove the fatty part 😂
Another very succesful video! I loved to see everyones reaction while making the food and following the instructions. It really brings out the good working environment. Thank you Daiki!
After high school I attended "kansalaisopisto" (dunno what is the proper english term for this) for a year and I also lived there as well while attending the classes. The school I went to gets Japanese university students as visitors every fall and spring (like different people obviously) and they do different "Finnish" activities and one time they baked cinnamonrolls and we students were able to taste them. They did excellent job, the cinnamonrolls aka korvapuustit tasted delicious! I'm huge fan of korvapuusti (the gooey the better imo) and even I have never tried making it before (since my wrists are more fragile and making pulla in general you need strong wrists lol) so I'm proud of you guys, looking really delicious and great! Good job Daiki and pals!
I have decided NOT to make my own cinnamon buns. Not because I can’t (I really can’t), but it’s more because I’d have to eat most of them myself 😂. More sensible choice for me, is to buy a good cinnamon bun from one of my favorite cafes maybe once a week 😋.

Yep, mission accomplished, I just ate 2 and they turned out delicious :) @@Juhani96
That's amazing. Good job!
Mixing with your hands is more common way of doing that. You mix until it doesn't stick to your fingers anymore.

Yeah, I loved how I got the huge "NO" 😂
Good job, Daiki-san and Friends!! The results look great and tasty !! 👌😋👌😋
It did! Thanks!
Lohikeitto is one of the best soups in the world. Not saying this because of my heritage, either. The creaminess and umami just blows you away.
I agree!

It's really funny to me how tar was just brushed over. I like it, but when people find salmiakki weird I expect tar to be even stranger.
Kiitos ! I enjoy watching this video .❤
Beautiful sharing ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
