Had a beer with Chelly back in 1990 we where sitting side by side at the bar in a pub in Montreal great conversation he suffered a knee injury and couldn’t play,we talked about how it was hard to be sidelined,the guy was a real warrior. Too bad the Habs traded him not too long afterwards during that summer. Savard was an awesome player but his career was winding down while Chelly’s was not more than a third done. They where only 1 year apart. Savard being the eldest. I was only 22 those where the days.
