- Hi everyone. Today I am reviewing another air rifle, the Artemis SR1250W. This is a spring break air rifle in .22 (5.5 mm) cal. In this video I go through the facts and figures of the air rifle, test for accuracy and give my honest opinion. I hope you enjoy it. Any questions are welcome.

Would you recommend Artemis SR1250S 4.5mm as a first air gun?
Thanks very much Petter. I've only had direct experience with the 5.5 mm version. But if the 4.5 mm version it is anything like the SR1250W 5.5 then, yes I would recommend it. The air rifles are great value and solidly constructed. Surprising amount of power for a budget air rifles too. I hope that helps. Best wishes, Jono

Yes it’s been a pretty good air rifle. The law is pretty silly, especially as there’s no power limit. I keep adding air guns to my collection that I don’t need 😬🔫 Fun to collect though. Have a great weekend 😊☀️

Hello!Nice Explanation.Two questions I wanted to ask:
1.Is it reliable for accuracy ?
2.Is it good for long range hunting (Till 100-150metres)?

Hello! Thanks very much 😊 Yes it is pretty accurate. However, I only use it at a distance of approximately 20 metres, as I don’t have a scope fitted (no scopes allowed on air rifles here in Greece). If you were to fit a scope, you could probably be quite accurate for hunting at 40 metres. So it isn’t a long range hunting rifle. I hope that helps 😊👍🏼

Hi Simon. Thank you 😊 For me it has been great value for money (now online for €113). I agree the safety position is very user friendly. Yep some people have had issues, but I think that would be the case with any rifle. I really like break barrels too. Solid bits of kit. New Subscriber, good video, I just purchased one of those a week ago. I find it's very noisy, I'm scared to test it in town as the police will visit me very soon. I'm looking for a silencer to fit.

For an unknown reason your comment was held for review and I’ve only just seen it 🤷🏻♂️ Thanks for subscribing 😊 Yes you are right, it’s very loud. 😂 Yeah you don’t want the police coming around. Unfortunately I think most of the noise comes from the spring and not the end of the barrel. But every little helps 😊 Happy and save shooting 👍🏼😊✊🏼
@@GreeklishOutdoors Hi, yes thanks for reply, I tested other air rifles with so called muzzles, and they didn't make much difference, that's why I then went for the one with better / nicer sights and power.

Hello my friend. From speaking to many owners, I’ve found it’s a lottery with Artemis guns, on whether the gun is accurate or not. They must have bad quality control. However, in my gun I have found Gamo Rocket pellets or the Norica Devast copper pellets to be the most accurate. The Norica pellets are the cheaper of these two at approximately €7 for 200. Hey, so my dad bought one of these and it's very bad quality. The safety at the back broke on like the 4th day and he didn't even shoot it that much, and it shoots extremely slowly (700fps~)
And to clarify, the whole safety broke. The whole plastic part the "hammer" came loose from the metal part, so the safety is completely disconnected from the rifle and he just found out that you can't even pull the trigger any more.
Sorry to hear that you’ve had trouble with the rifle. I honestly have had no issues with mine after many months of shooting with it. It’s a budget rifle, so you can’t expect too much, but the safety shouldn’t break. Did you manage to get a refund or exchange? 700 fps is still ok for target shooting and a spot of pest control, but you do need a scope or red dot for accuracy. @@GreeklishOutdoors yeah, the sights were very sketchy aswell, and no we didn't get a refund but we're going to send it for repairs. My dad owns a Gamo Wildcat Whisper which he bought in 2013 and it's very good, no problems except for some accuracy problems. I own a Snowpeak B2-4 which I've had no problems with except for the iron sights being pretty off centre. Next time we buy something again (possibly another 5.5mm) it'll probably be some Gamo or SnowPeak. If you have any suggestions on other brands that are budget please inform me!

@@Raw-Thunder Ok well I hope it’s better after the repair. I’ve got my eye on a couple of 5.5 mm Gamo air rifles as they look great and I hear they perform well. For my next air rifle I’m thinking of buying the GAMO CFX IGT or the Crosman summit ranger 2 (5.5 mm). Here in Greece the Gamo is €299 and the Crosman is €244, a bit more expensive than the Artemis, but should perform much better.

The manufacturer does not state one. However, I bought a chronograph since making this video and the average power is approximately 18 ft/lb or about 24 J. I hope this helps. 😊👍🏼

Never owned a gun that shot the claimed speed. The same goes for bows which never shoot the claimed speed.
