On May 1, 2023, a Monroe County deputy in Warrens, WI, attempted to pull over a vehicle with no license plates and a loud exhaust. The driver evaded the deputy and engaged in a chase. Spike strips were used, causing him to crash into a ditch and flee on foot. However, the driver was apprehended shortly afterward. During an interview, he mentioned caring for his grandmother and a warrant as motives for fleeing.
The purpose of the featured content is to show the law enforcement interaction. It is NOT to publicly shame, ridicule, or degrade the individuals involved. I will say, after a high speed chase involving multiple officers, a foot pursuit, and a solid Taser takedown that this is one of the most cordial and polite criminals I have ever seen.

He displays a lot of behavioral traits of people that consistently invoke victimhood while completely ignoring the fact that he endangered many people. I wouldn't trust him.

Same. I suffer from severe anxiety and depression and have a lot going on but I would be to afraid of the consequences running from the police. The courts keep giving people a pass for mental health issues but it’s creating a much bigger problem in our society. I’m not saying to throw everyone in jail however something has to be done for protecting the innocent public. He could have killed a innocent family, so this shouldn’t be taken lightly.

I can’t believe it’s 2023 and people seemingly haven’t figured out that the cops have a superpower: their radio. It’s what allows one cop to turn into ALL THE COPS. Good teamwork here; the spike strips stopped the guy pretty quick.

I will say, though, I felt the cops' frustration when they wouldn't give him the go-ahead to pit for a long time. I understand why they wouldn't want to jump to having him do it by himself, but nothing was stopping this guy for a while.

This only puts the officer and driver at risk of injury. If this guy found a way to the high way or a more populated area then the lives of many others would be at risk. A Honda Civic could outrun the P.O.S. SUV’s these cops are issued. I’m not exaggerating. These police vehicles are about as aerodynamic as a school bus, heavy, and usually have wimpy V6 engines. So yeah Mr Cop, so many stock common vehicles today can outrun you both in acceleration and top speed. Even the P.OS. Dodge Chargers, which this isn’t, almost all top out below 130 mph and are easy for many vehicles to outrun. The Chargers and Ford Ecoboost police vehicles also famously blow up in high speed pursuits.

I don't know why regular consumer vehicles are permitted to do such high speeds. No reason not to govern them to 100 mph unless on a track imo. And the V6s aren't really wimpy, but the cruisers are much heavier due to all the extra/specialized equipment. 300-500 extra pounds can kill performance.

It really depends on the county. Certain judges are harder on certain offenses. There used to be an unwritten rule that if you were going to drink and drive, don’t do it in certain counties. That being said, not drinking and driving is always the better option. But hey, drunkest state in the union. Can’t say it’s not expected.

I had an emergency with my own mother and experienced this situation already, needless to say YES I was SPEEDING, and YES I did get PULLED over, IDENTIFIED, and EXPLAINED the situation. That officer told me to keep going and radioed it in for me to have the green light, there's ways to do things correctly and if you're legitimately telling the truth, they can help you. Support good police officers.

I still remember I was 15 didn't have a permit but my parents were so drunk there was no way they were driving home even if it was just 2 miles down the road, well let's just say I never drove that car, I got pulled over, the cop realized that they could barely stand and I told him that I'd rather get pulled over than my parents drive drunk and he said get back in go slow and I'll follow you home, made it and he said just don't do it again but you did the right thing
