I love mine. I use it in my camper trailer I live in on cool nights and with my main large solar battery during power outages, to warm up my camper bathroom before taking a bath, and with portable solar power stations outside as a backup plan to save covered fruit trees from Arctic blasts and late freezes. I also have plans to use one for a small winter greenhouse right outside my front window to grow cherry tomatoes and ground cherries out of season. I got a 400w one too. It cost less but this 200w heater is the most valuable one to me by far because it can be used with all of my various portable battery backups and for 24 hours on a charge with my big battery.
This is awesome. I am gearing up for winter (snow/ice-related power outages) and was looking for a smaller heating that I could run off my solar generator. I do have a quartz heater but it definitely pulls more watts.
On my third winter with mine and it still works flawlessly. It's enough for a 10x10x10 bedroom to remain almost comfortable when temps drop to freezing. For the power consumption I can't complain. The only downside is lack of tipover protection and it can get a little noisy with the fan, but otherwise is such a good deal.
I have 5 of these heaters that I use around my home. 3 of them I've had for around 10 years. Never had one fail. I measure them at around 185 watts each. Be careful not to knock them over, because they don't have a tipping shut-off switch. On sunny days in the winter they lower my heating bill because I have an 1800 watt solar system.
Love these little heaters, I have 3 of them. They're perfect to keep my tootsies warm in the winter at my computer or working out in the garage, when the bigger 750/1500 watt ones are too much. Inexpensive too. Cheers!
This was a great in office heater until they stopped letting us bring them in. I love the safety feature of the button in the bottom that if tipped over it shuts off immediately. I donated it to Goodwill when we turned to work from home.
I’ve got a couple of Lasko products and like them, but this is new to me. Will have to check it out. Thanks for sharing your experiences. Btw…your greenhouse looks nice! 😀👍🏼
I just got a new house and work from home, but the space where I work is a corner of my bedroom and I never had this problem before. But my feet are freezing in there when I work and this might be the answer. I debated these Japanese style heated floor mats that I’ve been seeing, but I am worried that they might discolor the floor or affect how the floor is adhered to the concrete below it. This might be just enough to keep the legs and feet warm and not be too hot.
I just bought one hours ago and was checking in with other online consumers. So far everything's A-OK in their reviews. My summer car doesn't really have heat and my winter beater's on the way out so this Lasko is going to at least be a defroster. Sure I could easily wire up my 400/800w or bigger 2000/4000w power inverters to run something much bigger but why do things the hard way? Just imagine headed out to work and seeing someone like me warming up his car with a Conair hair dryer. >_> Knowing you used the "flaw" of old C9 Christmas bulbs is humorous. Genius really. Those bastards only took a minute to reach peak temperature, hot enough to burn off fingertips and melt plastic trees. Nice while it lasted. The greenhouse looked purty with them on.
I love mine … I ordered backups. I use it on my nightstand in the winters cuz my drafty old house is so hard to keep warm. I turn it off before I go to sleep due to safety reasons (there is no timer on this heater). I also use an electric blanket that has a timer. This a personal heater that blows direct heat only. It will NOT heat a room or a bathroom.
I've had a couple of these for several years now. I like to turn it on it's side and point it at my feet in the winter. My favorite is to put it under my desk when I'm working. They are too small to heat a room.
I live in Hawaii where most of the time it’s hot and humid but in the winter we do get some cold fronts and something like this would be enough for my room at night.
I have one identical to this, same brand and everything but it’s 400 watts, where did you find a 200 watt one?? My car has a 400 watt inverter but it won’t run the 400 watt heater and my cars heater doesn’t work.
I drive an older EV and in the winter the heater takes away some range. I run the 400 watt one in my car with a power station and I can tell you it will keep you from freezing, but it won't keep you warm. So, the 200 watt one will be worse.

Thanks for the info.
Great to have your feedback on those little heaters.
Nice video! Thanks! Your reviews are always perfect and get right to the point. 😊
You're Perfect on Videos. I'm so happy that your still doing them. Please don't go away. Columbia SC.
Thanks for watching! I like doing videos but sometimes it is very hard to find the time to fit them in.
I love Lasco. All their products are great and last years.
I have one of these and it's on its second winter. I love how much heat it puts out and no problems with it so far..
Thanks. I’ve been thinking of getting a heater I can run with my jackery back up battery in case of a power outage.
Very timely! This looks like a great buy for my
bathroom.

So far, this is lowest wattage heater that I've found.

They do have an overheat shutoff.

Thanks. I've had it for several years now and it's starting to show some age.

The one in my greenhouse I have hooked up to a timer and it works great on the timer.
@@CounterCooking do you have a link to purchase the timer ? Thanks 😊

yes, they are more of a personal heater than a room heater.
Oh no, love those old lights. Nice find in mini heater.
Yeah, the old lights are pretty cool.
@@CounterCookingwhat is the name and do you have a link for the lights Christmas

Great review! Thanks so much for showing us this awesome find. Very informative as always😊👍
Thanks for watching.
I have one I love it, I’m going to purchase another one
Just got one of these and I can only feel the air about 16" directly in front of the heater. Not sure if I got one with a weak fan or if thats normal.

Needs 200 Watts of heating?
Just leave two 100 Watt lamps on.
