This interview was the turning point for me! Up until then i didn't *Truly* understand what his deal was.
Now i get it... He's a man who never grew up but just got more intelligent with time. Not childish, but childlike. This is the reason why he preferred to be around children, he understood them more then adults.
Full transparency Saramaria! before watching this i was on the fence about the accusations!... But after watching it i KNEW without even knowing all the details that he didn't do what they accused him of doing!
I cannot express my love for this interview!! ❤️❤️ And ever since i watched it my love for MJ grew and grew! 😍
He went from someone i had actively avoided for YEARS because of the lies of the media, to a guy i listen to every day! ❤️

@@SephPlays omgg yess I'm so happy about that Seph so beautiful what you said ❤❤ there's even one time he was performing and there was a bug on stage and he literally called security and asked them to take it out cause he didn't want to step on it and asked them not to kill it!! 😭 like this man couldn't even harm a bug and they're telling me he would hurt a child??? He was just so isolated and sheltered during his childhood and teenage years he just didn't know what "normal" was cause he never got to experience it, the stage was all he knew and everything else was new, he was literally just starting to live and learn about life around the time Thriller was released, there's an interview from 1983 at the height of his success and he's so shy he says that he's afraid of people and the interviewer asked who were his real close friends and poor Michael couldn't even answer at first he stopped and said it was his fans 😢😢 he said he was just beginning to learn about friendship and he was over 20, he was an easy target, that's why he was so close to animals, for people to take his love for children and try to twist it is just horrible, his mom said the one regret she had was that she did not prepare him to the world cause the world is evil 💔💔

Sorry for my millions of comments lol I keep thinking of things to say. Michael and LaToya used to really close and they even lived together in New York for a bit in 1977 or 1978 (I forgot which) while Michael was filming The Wiz but within ten years or so they wouldn't be as close and sorta had a fallen out to no real fault of LaToya's because she was in an abusive relationship and her husband made her say horrible things about her family and mainly Michael. They mended their relationship later but they were never as close

Michael: "When I was little I grew up in an adult world. I grew up on stage. I grew up in night clubs. When I was seven, eight years old I was in nightclubs. I saw striptease girls take off all their clothes. I saw fights break out. I saw people throw up on each other. I saw adults act like pigs. That's why to this day I hate clubs. I don't like going to clubs - I did that already, I've been there. That's why I compensate now for what I didn't do then. So when you come to my house, you'll see I have rides, I have a movie theatre, I have animals. I love animals - elephants and giraffes and lions and tigers and bears, all kinds of snakes. I get to do all those wonderful things that I didn't get to do when I was little, because we didn't have those things."

No wonder he hated being interviewed later in life, having to answer so many ridiculous questions, when THIS is the kind of stuff he's interested in and inspired by, he's very ungarded and comfortable, just talking about magic, what he liked, it's a shame later on in his life they didn't care much to talk about his creative process or leave any space to invite or encourage this kind of conversation, I could watch this all day, it actually inspires me 💕✨️✨️

If you're curious about what he says when the sound cuts off at 19:14, I found another video of this interview a little bit more low quality but he says:
"I think with any type of creation, you create what's inside of you, subcounsciously, what influences you. I'm a fantasy fanatic, anything that take you off into another world, escapism, that's what I like. I'm not so crazy about the reality of everything, I like a lot of fantasy and that's why I try to create, to get away, to become moved."

MJ had an INCREDIBLE pitch accuracy with his voice, that's just a fact. The channel "Wings of Pegasus" has some really fascination videos going over examples of his singing in unprocessed form; before any mixing or the like. And any footage of his singing A Capella, even small little things like here, are also able to showcase this skill well. :D

Seph! I am screaming with excitement haha. I LOVE this interview and I believe at some point I suggested it in comments for you. I am SOOO happy you reacted to this! A few thoughts:
    1) Michael's love of animals is one of the purest and most beautiful things in the world. People found it weird, I think, to see a man so gentle, kind, and sensitive. But this is one of his most attractive qualities as a human being, IMO. Also, I very much see his view of children the same as his view of animals. It's just an appreciation for innocence. This is a man who grow up in an entirely adult world. He saw the dirty behind-the-scenes nature of the music industry. He grew up performing in strip clubs (literally) when he was 5 years old. He toured with adults around the world. He NEVER got to appreciate just being a child. So when you say toward the end that it is a choice for him to be this way, I think that is true. He chose to maintain a childlike sense of wonder, joy, and awe. He chose to not be cynical and to lean into the beauty of the world, instead of the darkness. But he was NOT naive and he was not some man-child. He understood a lot more about the seedy aspects of life than I think most people realized. He just didn't emulate them himself.
    2) Aside from some of those childlike qualities he had, he was also very much a businessman, very savvy, very bold. He was in total control of his own performances and recordings, especially after Thriller. He was very much a normal "man" in certain ways, but he was also very unique. I think his masculinity as a performer really explodes in the Bad era, but it's never performative IMO. It's very genuine and raw. That's why I think Michael confuses people so much. He is man with childlike wonder and enthusiasm for life, while also being a beast as an artist. He was an exceptionally private person, in spite of appearing so open, so I think people have misconceptions, trying to fill in the dots. Also, I think part of what we see in interviews like this, some of the uniqueness of his personality is the result of him being a literal *genius.*
    3) His random singing is insane, isn't it??? His voice is just staggering. I love the effect it had on you! :) He has the voice of an angel and it is so effortless.
    4) There is so much more I can say, but I'll wrap up here. I just LOVE seeing the affection you have for Michael. It is so wonderful. I remember your very first reaction to him and you were quite blown away by him, but you were questioning some stuff you didn't know about (understandably). But then every reaction since, it's like you're learning another layer about him as an artist and person. I'm telling you, I think it's impossible to learn about him and not fall in love with him as a person, as well as an artist. Other people have charisma, but Michael has something that goes far beyond that to me. He talks about magic so much, but he is the literal embodiment of magic. I find many artists charming and charismatic, but no one stops me in my tracks like Michael. Anyway, I'm just so glad you're on this journey. And seeing you react so purely and genuinely to him makes me really happy, so thank you 😊

Thank u seph for this beautiful reaction and the nice things that u mentioned about Michael at the end which actually made me respect u more than i do my friend❤❤.
Alot of people misunderstood Michael and misquoted him also but this because their minds are not pure and innocent, Michael said once " never judge a person until u talk to him one on one i don't care what the conversation is " and if those people think of that for a second they will find that no one does something wrong and talks about it in every interview that's ridiculous. He was so pure and loving so he didn't think that much to tell the things that he like out of innocence.
And yeah he called the ranch Neverland because he loves Peter Pan alot and he inspired him but this interview was in parents home .
By the way , u are right it was his choice to be like that and to sound like that also as Michael's voice deeper than that u can tell from his vocal range (and his vocal coach said that he has deep voice but he always preferred that soft voice and that actually helped him alot as it is like doing exercise all the time so your voice never gets old) but he was sooo knowledgeable as well . he was obsessed with reading his library contains 10000 books and he read them all. and i don't think u know but he was a great painter, his portraits was insane. No one mentally ill or childish do that ... Sorry for being so long but i have to say that because it's not just thinking or being a fan that makes me believe in his innocence i searched and listened to the 2 sides and find true proofs so it's not fair
Thanks again friend unfortunately there are no facts today 😂😂

I have to admit this was very interesting! The guy was freakin chased by the media for the most stupid of things ya know!?
He was obviously super intelligent as you can read that in his lyrics and some of the things he says are quotable!!
He certainly wasn't mentally ill or childish, This interview proves that! Childlike is a more apt description in my opinion.

Hello friend I'm new here, what a lovely fun reaction video! He really had the heart of a child, if only people tried to understand the psychology behind why Michael was the way that he was. He became famous when he was only 8 years old, being the lead singer and star of the Jackson 5. Singing and performing way before that, since 5. Imagine the impact at that age. Could not make a single wrong move or sing a wrong note or his father would beat him brutally. He HAD to be perfect. That is a huge amount of pressure for a child. He grew up with no toys, no permissions to have friends or play in parks. He celebrated no birthdays and no holidays. He didnt even celebrate Christmas until his early 30s. He got psychologically, physically and emotionally @bused and tormented by his father more than any of his siblings, no love or affection ever shown or felt from him, with a mother who, despite being affectionate, only stopped the beatings when it "got too bad". It was impossible for him to be what we consider to be "normal". I have a degree in psychology and in my opinion, I believe Michael suffered from a form of age regression from extreme childhood trauma. The trauma was so deep that it affected him for the rest of his life, you can even see it in some of his interviews, where a 21 year Michael talks about his father, terrified to even say he was "too strict" in fear that his father was "going to kill him". At 21. Laughing to hide the pain. Unsurprisingly, Michael grew up very socially awkward and isolated himself during his teenage years, very insecure about his appearance due to puberty and the bullying from his father, never quite knowing how to deal with the outside world and being off the stage. Not being able to relate to people his age cause they had completely different interests.

    • @ingridcassar7689
      @ingridcassar7689 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

I agree with almost all you said however the real reason he never celebrated Christmas is totally due to his mother being Jehovah Witness as well as her involving Michael in the religion too. It's not fair to put 100% fault for Michael's missing out on certain things all on his dad.

You know, I think it's really beautiful that he tried to keep his inner child alive, he seemed generally happy during this time, it's so sad because you can see how he changed over the years, in the sense that he became sadder and much more reserved I would say, he couldn't go out and everything he did people judged and he couldn't feel free to enjoy what he enjoyed anymore, so he built Neverland, the place of his dreams, and still, people wanted to destroy it and sadly, it worked, his sanctuary got destroyed by greedy people because of these ridiculous allegations and multiples raids and he said it wasn't his home anymore, just a house, he never went back there again after the 2005 trial. He looked so tired in the 2000s. It seems like people can't stand to see someone successful and happy, you can't be positive and kind, they will become jealous and do everything to bring you down.

I was going to request this interview haha 😂 you're right, it's not a mental disorder or anything like that at all cause yes he was very childlike but he was also very inteligent and smart especially when it came to his creative process, he was like a genius lol, he was just a very sensitive soul who loved animals and children and liked to have fun and play, the fact is that Michael never hid this side of him and what he liked, he lost his childhood so he just wanted to experience what he never could as a child as an adult, that's why he had an amasument park and a zoo and a movie theater in his home but instead of enjoying it all by himself he decided to share it with other less fortunate kids so that they could also have a childhood and he invited many families as well, like how sweet is that, unfortunately society couldn't understand that so they called him weird, a freak, "wacko jacko"... they were very cruel to him, it wasn't malicious he just couldn't understand what he had done wrong 💔😢😢 anyway sorry I really enjoyed your reaction ❤❤ so nice that you understand him

Well, happier than he ever was after this, It's a shame the way people treated this kind sweet soul as the years went by 😢😢 I sense no evil or darkness in him, he seems full of love, look how gently he treated his llama and sang so softly and beautifully 😭 I think his light was so bright that people couldn't understand it or accept it so they tried everything to bring him down so they would feel better and you are totally right, I feel like he loved children because they are innocent and saw HIM, Michael the person, not what he had, what he looked like or any of this superficial stuff, if there is heaven, I truly hope he is up there right now, singing happily with his animals and like he said surrounded by magic just like in this interview, cause this world did not deserve him.

Ok Seph I have to say, when I first watched this I fell in love with Michael immediately!! Lol, he is so fascinating! I guess that's also what happened to you?? I mean I didn't have any opinion about him to "change my mind", I knew a few of his songs and watched a few of his performances and thought he was very talented but other than that I didn't know anything about his life or what he was like, and there is something about him that's very captivating and just makes me want to hug him haha I don't know, so cute! ❤🥰 I think what got me was the fact that he was 24 in this and still had such an innocence and fun and joyful aspect about him that he appreciated and loved all the simple little things about life that we normally don't really stop to appreciate, like a flower, sunset, dawn, butterflies, all the animals, children, nature, people, I don't know I mean he just seems so genuine, it's just so rare and special, that really sparked my interest to know more about him, and what really breaks my heart is that bad greedy people really wanted to take that away from him in the most cruel way, he suffered so much all of his life, and still all he wanted to do was to heal the world and make people happy, I watched an amazing documentary about all his humanitarian efforts (which I really hope you react to), he went to a hospital and did not stop until he found a liver for a little boy who was dying, he saved him! One of many, no one talks about that, he's such a lovely soul! After watching more documentaries and his interviews, I gained such an appreciation and love for him, as a person more than anything, he really was magic ♥️😢 this interview has now a special place in my heart ❤

Up until watching this interview I disliked Michael Jackson as a person and believed in the false accusations. Growing up i purposefully avoided him and his songs. Only song i knew going into this was Thriller, i didn't even know what he looked like 😅
If it wasn't for this interview I probably would have given up on MJ and would have carried on believing the ridiculous accusations 😭
I some times look back and feel ashamed about the things I said about him. But I can't change the past, but i can certainly learn from it

@@SephPlays ohhh now I understand thank you! I haven't watched all the videos yet but I take it that you have now learned he facts of the cases and what the motivation was. Don't feel ashamed, you're right, what's important is that you now know the truth, actually it shows maturity and humility being willing to have a different perspective and open to the idea that you may have been wrong in what you thought, and also being willing to go out of your way to look for the facts and decide for yourself and not just accept what they want you to believe, from the first videos I watched I can tell you are a beautiful person ❤

@@TheresaWarnner-1 Its the reason i started to go through all his albums and life story in chronological order. I'm up to the HIStory album now.
I can't post reactions to Jackson 5/the jacksons because of copyright issues, but anything that's just MJ seems to be ok.
      Ive learned a lot 😊

Seph I found this rare home video of him and his brothers and family members when Michael was still a teenager and look how adorable and attentive he is with the little kid ❤ while everyone is joking and talking loudly Michael is just shy in the background making sure the baby is okay and gets attention, it just shows he always had a loving connection to kids 😊 I don't see how anyone can see anything wrong here, here is the video:
