This was a project that has been sitting on my computer for almost over a year now. I'm very happy I found some inspiration to finish it. I always felt this video idea had some great potential!

Mickey really is the Beast of AMV's. Takes me back to my childhood when I use to try an create a masterpiece like this. An Berserk is one of the best Anime's I've seen, I've been watching the TV Show on repeat for years.

Oh my gosh Mickey shivers this vid straight up gave me shivers. Amazing work. I really like this version of the song you chose. I imagined the lyrics from Griffith's perspective, which also shows emotional isolation and selfishness, and then you frame Guts to counter those statements in the lyrics. Guts has had all of those feelings all along as well, but I don't think Griffith ever really considered this. I really makes me think of how I feel Griffith was used to manipulating others, in part out of his nature, but in part necessity in trying to secure his own country, but I don't think he expected to feel for Guts like he did, nor how he felt when he discovered Casca and Guts were together. Great work my friend! There's so much to think about with Berserk, and it's such a character driven story, and your vids really show case that. I think your vids get more people into Berserk. Or the number of us that are already fans are like, yes such a deep beautiful look. I spent a big chunk of last night watching your vids and I was like yes hot damn a new one!

im so late in commenting fghgf but god damn it Mickey this video represents Griffith so much. This song was so meant for him. I'm so glad you edited it! I always just love the whole atmosphere of you videos! Even though it's very simple editing it's still so powerful! I really love how you focused on Griffith though. He may have fucked up so many lives, but still like you really can't hate him for doing that. He just desperately wanted a dream of his to come true and yearned for it. Of course can't really forgive him for what he did to the band of the hawk sdfgfddfg. But again such an amazing job on this video! I really love how you add voiceovers too! People dont understand his story at all and judge his whole character based off one event with his alter ego lol. Hes actually one of the most incredible written characters ive seen.

Despite all one could say about Griffith, he is a character as intrinsically tragic as Guts.
With the only crime being having had the guts of choosing his extraordinary dream, over everything else.
I'd argue Griffith suffered more than Guts. He had an easy life and causality had everything go his way so he grew up never having to learn how to handle trauma. One loss sent him over the edge and he was tortured for a year of unimaginable psychological damage, left quadriplegic, castrated, disfigured and mute unable to move forward, he couldn't just strap a prosthetic arm on and fight to rebuild.
Griffith choose his path hes far from tragic, hes despicable. He doesnt deserve to be mentioned in the same breath as guts. Guts squirmed and struggled to get by, ever learning and becoming a better more complete human. Griffith on the other hand blessed with all the arts of man, ever sought power and extravagance squandering his gifts in a vain glorious attempt at dominance. The moment his prized plaything decides ive had it with this farce, griffith spits the dummy and we see his true self, a spoilt insolent, self destructive child.
