I adore this song, easily one of my favorites.
This was another project that I been working on for 4 months. This was a song I've been wanting to use for Berserk for about 3 years now but I didn't feel that confident with my editing till now to do it. Even now I kind of doubt myself. but I'm always doing that with my editing. ;p
Great quote that you included that I completely missed when watching the anime - "they choose to fight for me, just as you choose". It made me consider that when Griffith sacrificed his men, they did not have a choice. And even though his men would have died for him in battle, just as many already had, the Sacrifice was different. It was involuntary and the men were stripped of their own agency and ability to determine their own futures.
@Griffith Eternity I know you made that comment quite a long while ago, but being murdered by people and being murdered by monsters is pretty similar, and no death on a battlefield requires the loser's consent. Moreover, if one genuinely believes in Causality, they were literally born to die for that sole purpose; they never had any agency, as was preordained by God. I would call it the Idea of Evil, but thanks to Miura trying to declare the chapter he named God in non-canon, it is indeed just God.
@@elelyon4570 it’s been a while since your comment but I think possibly you missed what the OC was saying anyways, they weren’t comparing death from soldiers to monsters, but the nature of their death and what they believed in, they were not on any battlefield when they all perished in the astral world, they were literally food, the biggest part of Griffiths sacrifice of his men is that clearly the entire band of the hawk would not have died for his dream had he not been tortured and he attained kingship as a mortal, they wanted to reach Griffiths kingdom with him, they stated that several times. They weren’t just chess pieces in the world of berserk, even tho they basically are in the story, they were supposed to be flesh and blood human beings, and we all are born to die lol, it happens by our own agency regardless, it can be considered fate but it is fate because the choices of people are taken into account, that’s why the Idea of Evil isn’t canon, it reveals too much of the worlds backbone and Guts could not possibly have a good enough reason to be able to counter this literal god force. Causality is cause and effect, so they DID and so shall it be, it needs human beings to act. Anyway another conversation to further the love for Berserk I guess.
@Nipsey Muscle God's name isn't in new manga publications anymore but isn't not canon. God *is canon.* God of the Abyss 1 *is canon and still in publications.* God of the Abyss 2 was removed from the manga because, to paraphrase Miura, "Putting God into the story limited my options." Which strikes me as weird, because God's still a canon part of the story, just totally unexplained, ergo Miura failed at the prime goal he had in his decision removing that chapter from publications.
You recall the part where the huge empire with a demon emperor and war elephants easily conquers Midland, yes? The band was gonna die for him *regardless,* end of story enter Eclipse, it's just a matter of when everything would fall apart. As God intended.

You captured the very reason this anime pulled me in an so many others. Best part is if people are brave enough to watch a cartoon they'll find it challenges how you live your real life. I've always been pursuing something but never quite sure what it is. But I do have a direction I'm going till I find it. I'd be another Gut's character haha.

Berserk's my favorite manganime by far, and it means a lot for me since I watched the '90s series when I was a lil' child ( more than a decade has passed I mean, yikes! ). Years later I found the manga and, well, everything went twice as painful lol, BUT YEAH! THE POINT IS - I LOVED THIS. NOW IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE AMVs OF ALL TIMES???

I dont think theres not a secret that each dosent know about each, Gutz leaving him left him a broken man. Makes you quetion their relationship, keep your friends close and your enimes closer . Maybe Guts was the first man he ever actually viewed as a equal, it wasent necessarily "sexual". Griffith goal was noy just a Kingdom but the best kingdom absolutely devoted it would not take any less and he viewed Guts as the foundation of that kingdom. He knew Guts Sword hand never gives up, never faulters and that anything he sent Guts to do he would do it. I think the part about jim saying something would happen to him if Guts tried to stop him from killing himself. Everything about Griffith was breaking inside him, as Zod said "When you see this mans dreams collapse" Zod said it verbatim. I ahe. I hope we lget to learn more about Zod and more of the going ons with the God Hand as we aint seen them to much, god knows they are a major player in the end.

Ugh the editing is dope but this song isn't fitting enough for Guts. He's hostile and the song is too soft. Great edit.
Thank you but I highly disagree. Sure Guts can be hostile but he also has a soft side. especially in the manga. I understand what you are saying, the song isn't fast enough. But as an editor I listen more to the lyrics and if it fits Berserk then I do it rather the song is fast or slow.
