I’m Latina and African American and I live in Jersey. I have to say ever since I tasted the Dosas last year, I can definitely eat them every day. They’re so good. Kudos to this hardworking man. Wish him nothing but success. Too bad I can only eat them once or twice a month.

To be fair, he is a Sri Lankan, but most importantly a *Tamil* Sri Lankan. There is a huge difference between regular Sri Lankans and Tamil Sri Lankans; Tamils feel much closer to India than Sinhalese. So I would treat Thiru as an Indian.

Lettuce inside a dosa is a disgrace. In fact iceberg lettuce in general is a nasty cheap filler (and becomes soggy inside a hot food like dosa) that should be banned.
I don't think it would get soggy that easily. It's not a tissue paper, it's lettuce. It will actually give a nice crunch to the dosa bite. It can be a replacement for chopped onions in dosa.

The Indian Tamils are the ones who came from India to Sri Lanka as majority were trying to find jobs as workers. Ceylon Tamils were one of the original inhabitants of the island. They came from the jaffna kingdom. We are not exactly the same. I'm Ceylon Tamil. But my family has been living in Malaysia for the past three generations. Our Tamil slang and dialect is also quite different from the Indian Tamil.

Dosas are Indian breakfast, you can find dosas typically in every south India as breakfast it costs around 10 rupees to 100 rupees ($0.14 - $1.45) in the streets. There are so many varieties of dosas in India and they are my favourite ❤️

Dosas and Masala dosas are ridiculously delish. Unlike anything on the planet, they’ll get you hooked from your very first bite. Another South Indian delicacy is the Appam or Utthapam, Iddyappam etc. they’re light, fluffy, thin crepes traditionally paired with coconut milk. Love eating them too, although it’s been a while due to availability issues. I’m gonna do a search. I can also whip em together when I find them ingredients. It’s not the same as fresh Appams in a restaurant but it’ll do for now. Cheers! 👍
Dosa is a dish which is liked by many Indians. Be it south India or north India. When I lived in Delhi for 8 years, I remember my friends used to crave for dosa. Most of my friend’s moms could make amazing dosa both in North/South. Lastly many people have question on why someone eats dosa on foreign land. I think our bodies go bonkers when masalas are not served. When my friends visit me in Europe, first two days they are amazed with salads, pastas, French, Italian, Spanish, blah blah food. After few days, if I give them a hint of home made of kichidi then are so much thrilled to have it. Most of the Indians who live in foreign land, they eat home made. Sometimes it’s a good craving to eat others handmade Indian food. I travel to Frankfurt to have dosa from Sarvana Bhawan. It’s such an amazing experience 🤤
Those very foods, the ambiance even though outdoors, the vendor who sets himself apart are an every day occurrence. In his home country and next door to it. Dosa is one of the original South Indian dishes and it is uniquely tasty, vegan and amazingly healthy as most all Indian/S.Indian foods are. I think he has so many people from everywhere so hooked on this, that it is slowly becoming the go to food for a lot of them, especially vegans looking for more variety outside their norms. Cheers!

That way he can shrink those lines w/ shorter wait times etc. The obvious advertising nature of the lines is appreciated but think about a second line, and more lolol!
