This is a fantastic dream family! They look like they are wise vegetarians instead of cannibal animals... The father looks so nice and handsome, mother also elegant and mild, and the two lovely cubs are totally nature's wonder! I've never seen such perfect heavenly lion pride... I'll add this footage to my favorite for sure!

Mama lion did not want her cubs up on that stump! First she called to them, them she went over and pulled them down. Very protective mother! Gorgeous lions! The father's mane was really spectacular; it had many color variations and it stretched down onto his belly. Very nice video.

I think lions have the most grandeur style of parenting. So unperturbed and unworried of danger. The cubs have the best parents in the wild!! It can only be compared to as having the head of state as your parent!!

They called “nursing lioness”, she stays with cubs while all other lionesses went to hunting, which can last easily few hours to catch the pray. They also shared breastfeeding each others cubs. However, in this video lioness mom was actually super worried, but lionesses can’t show it like human do, watch lioness’s body language. She always turns where the cubs were and always kept them in front of her so she can see them, which clearly means she was worried and yet her pose wasn’t relaxed. Note how she in a second jumped when cub twisted with tree stick and would follow her cubs wherever they went. Also, the main danger comes from their own kind, the male lion that isn’t cubs father, the rest of the animals aren’t a real thread when mom is there (unless when she goes hunting that’s when cubs are super vulnerable to hyenas, buffalo, elephant, cheetah etc.). Lioness mother will fight to death protecting her cubs even against her pride’s leader male lion won’t let him come too close to her cubs until, they are 6-8 weeks old and then she introduces her cubs to her pride. Love watching lionesses and how they raise their cubs, how they hunt and feed the whole pride, their hunting tactics are incredible and surgically precise.
