My cancer doctors removed 33 lymph nodes of mine. I have had some minor swellings initially but it has been three years my arm seems to be fine. I haven't taken a flight since the surgery because I'm very nervous about flying with so many lymph nodes missing. Anything I could do during a long flight other than wearing a compression sleeve?
I’m having lymph therapy right now. Being tested for lymphoma again in Feb. I am trying to get a head start before my next PET scan. I’ve been doing some of your exercise routines and they really help. I was just fitted for hand and arm compression sleeves. I am having a problem behind the knee with swelling. It’s hard for me to reach. Any suggestions?
pop a smallish ball there and do some gentle squeezes. Even just standing , hold the bench and swing the bottom of your leg at the knee can help eg while the kettle boils. There is a great massage shepherds hook tool for trigger points and great for over the shoulder , but would also be helpful to reach behind knee.I even found one that has batteries and really helps my neck tightness which then helps my arm lymphoedema. Or there are rotating balls on a cord type massagers that might work for behind knee when it hard top reach, or even a massage ball tucked under there and move your leg around on top. Kelly has a video on tools which might have some other ideas.
Hi Kelly, My right hand gets colder than my left hand in the winter. I don’t see any swelling in my right arm but I feel like I have some swelling on the right side of my neck. Could this be a sign of some lymph stagnation and could lymphatic massage help keep my hand from getting cold in the winter?
truck driver my left leg has been bigger then my right around the ankle for years now, its the leg I use the clutch with, everyone in a while it will match the other what do I do?
I love that you mentioned breathing ❤ it's overlooked in so many areas of our health. Thank you
