Here's my really deep and frustrating problem with these stories and tactics against beings like Superman and Hyperion: they rely heavily on the writers' flaw - failing to recognize that beings like this with vast super hearing should never suffer such an attack without actually disorienting them first through their vast super hearing. Had they shown TM doing that first or using something that caused deafening silence for a man who can hear nearly anything, then this is a bit more believable. When they do sloppy work like this, they make these characters a joke and a punchline. Someone like Clark should often find himself pushing the envelope on his powers to overcome tricks and deceptive attacks, having an endless array of experiences of various methods to study and build upon. You gotta make it a lot harder for normal, yet resilient fighters - good and bad to be challenged, forced to think out of the box further away from conventional thinking and anticipation.
The level of their hearing has always been something they can control. Superman has been shown in many iterations where hes a child and crying cuz of all the sound and learns to turn it off or channel it out. So most of the time they limit the range, direction, or strength of their hearing. Or else they would go crazy with all the super noise at all time from billions of sources. In this instance Taskmaster is his opponent and the arrow missed. There was no reason for Hyperion to change his focus other than right in front of him.
i don't dobt that Hyperion heard that Arrow coming back. But after seeing Taskmaster "dumb enough" to throw a shield at him, attack him with a sword, and lunge at him with his fists - why on earth would he care about 1 man made arrow. He wouldn't dodge bullets from guns, heck he can tank explosions - why pay any mind to it? What could it possibly do to him? Taskmaster was able to set up that kill shot by hiding the true intention behind his plan, it's a sound tactic that's taught in the Art of War. Not all battles are won by raw power.
The only flaw in these stories is the person who originally writes heroes as powerful as this where it leaves very little in terms of physical challenges or even plot challeged due to speed and senses being way too good.
@@SubzeroBlack68 Not so. There is no excuse for this to "always be the case for beings like Hyperion." It doesn't make sense. Think about it: I am a character like Superman or Hyperion or Sentry or Blue Marvel. My senses are off the charts even for Omega level beings. My hearing, eyesight and body can pick up and distinguish vibrations, frequencies, patterns, angles, etc. What's so hard having Superman see Ollie aiming at him and clearly understand that the aim is off - "he's not really aiming at me, but behind me. Its enough to make me think he's aiming at me, so... what is this arrow? He wants me to either catch it or move and forget about it... I will not forget that its behind me." My point is that writers' make the mistake of writing consistently according to the story they are telling, not according to logic. So TM has to take this powerful being down to sell the story. Taskmaster did a better job than Batman and Deathstroke when they each went up against Superman. Taskmaster calculatedly took a beating from a God, and did the Arrow shot himself, bones broken and all. When Deathstroke was pushing Superman's limit - he did a lot of hiding behind Lois Lane, he threw bombs at bystanders, he was also wearing special Armor - not counting the fact that he's extremely ''enhanced" compared to Taskmaster. Hyperion , Sentry , and Juggernaut are all beefy jobbers because marvel comics doesn't want to have characters dying every issue so they throw in a character that can be a powerful beat stick around for a couple of pages.
People only beat Superman because he holds back to much. It’s been stated countless times that Superman never uses his full power. Imagine if Superman went berserk like superboy does.
Not really, Superman doesn’t hold back against guys like Darkseid or Doomsday, yet they can rough him up. Same goes for plenty of other characters...it’s just nowadays he’s the victim of PIS.

well Superman’s heat vision is just that heat. Cyclops optic blast is very powerful and it’s yet to been shown at full power but he’s been able to blow the top off of a mountain. He also has geometric awareness so he can ricochet the laser off of over 20 surfaces with pin point accuracy on target. Also the optic blast comes from a pocket dimension inside of Scott’s eyes. Marvels making uber toons jobbers for awhile, they did it to Odin, thor, hyperion , Galactus, etc. Its sad. Truth be told if superman ever wanted to kill batman it would be quick. Superman prime is an example No chance! He destroyed the justice league in multiple universes. Hyperion could have blown a hole thru taskmaster if he choose to.
But he didn't, and Fury and Taskmaster knew he wouldn't. Why did Taskmaster take that beating before finally using the arrow?
Nice! I love your simple & straightforward style.
Subscribed =)
You say he’s fighting black widow but those claw marks and that white hair looks more similar to black cat or whatever her name was
White Fox.
5:13 Aahh.. I think that's Black-Cat!? 🤷🏾♂️ 🤣🤣🤣🤣
White Fox.
On the cover for the next issue he is clearly fighting black cat, white hair claws...
White Fox.
Its so sad how dirty mcu did taskmaster
Black Widow doesn't scratch or have white hair. That's Felicia Hardy... unless she's been remade.
So basically plot armor a bootleg mech and kryptonite
Hyperion always loses to someone he should not lose to.
Widow is the best killer? Nah. She's definitely in the top 5 but I don't think she's the best on Earth. And better than Winter Soldier and Elektra? Nah. I'm open to civil discourse though.
Widow is a joke. A Bond Girl throwback character. That's all.
Taskmaster did a better job than Batman and Deathstroke when they each went up against Superman.
He didn't use Heavy Waynetech Armour, and he didn't get help from an archer friend (Green Arrow) to snipe Superman.
At the end of the day, all Deathstroke could achieve was piss off Superman - who didn't end up in pain, on the ground with knife to the throat like Hyperion after Taskmaster was done with him.
Always liked it when they focused on how badass TM is. Loved his 4 part story arc with the hoodie outfit.
Great story! Did not like it when Fury said that Black Widow was better than taskmaster though, he took on the avengers as well as iron fist and won! What makes it worse is that Taskmaster was SCARED of HER!!!
5:13 acually this looks more like Black cat than Black Widow, you can see a tail (or her hair) and she has claws and there are claw marks all over the place.
Nope, White Fox.
So, Hyperion is fast enough to react to bullets and dodge them, and he’s got super hearing, but somehow, SOMEHOW, he didn’t hear or dodge the arrow? Are you kidding me? That’s just stupid. Who writes this crap?
But Hyperion is not as smart as Superman. Also, he has so much pride and arrogance it blinds him to most serious threats.
@@errolpaul8043
He’s not as smart as Superman, but he’s not stupid. He’s smart enough to recognize danger and react to it. Especially from argonite. Intelligence has nothing to do with this situation.
He still has a hearing system. That system depends on sound waves. If there are sound interferences, no even daredevil would her it. Maybe spiderman could feel it coming because his spider sense is almost magical, but that's it. Hyperion is like superman but that doesn't mean he is a god. Even Thor could be hit as well
@@Antos425 Blinded by pride and arrogance. He's not expecting an arrow to pierce him, let alone it being made of Argonite. It doesn't warrant him making even a tiny movement or thought. He's too caught up in his moment of spupremacy.
@@eon1014 Blinded by pride and arrogance. He's not expecting an arrow to pierce him, let alone it being made of Argonite. It doesn't warrant him making even a tiny movement or thought. He's too caught up in his moment of supremacy.
Does Taskmaster have an advanced healing factor, especially since he had broken bones but was still able to fight?🤔
In the comic, you learn that Nick Fury hooked him up with healing nanobots.
I always knew about him only that I learn who he was a year ago.
I always tought as kid that he was the coolest looking character I ever see
two of my favorite characters
Black Widow? More deadly than Elektra?! LMSFAO 🤣🤣🤣
That's Black cat at the end he's fighting you can see the claws an white hair
No, White Fox.
The title didn't lie not something you see all the time on these type of videos.
This guy can kill homelander.
Homelander isn’t all that impressive when you compare him to marvel or dc characters.
No, he really can't because unlike hyperions new weakness and supermans weakness. Homelander doesn't have one. Homelander would have killed taskmaster right away. Hyperion was not trying to kill task master
@@Ldgarl1 that is true, Homelanders weakness is getting owerpowerd by and equal or stronger foe. Both Hyperion and Superman have way more power than Homelander, so he has got no chance basically.
@@thewildtigre3339 oh I thought were we talking about hyperion pfft!
@@thewildtigre3339 Yea against superman or hyperion, homelander would lose, but he would rip taskmaster apart with no difficulty. Homelander doesn't have a weakness though, so if you arent physically stronger than him, you have no chance.
Who did the art in the video image?! That's amazing-looking!
Cool fight ruined by the fact Taskmaster is terrified of freaking black widow of all people. After facing down a god like Hyperion its just silly.
Lmao 😂 bringing some hate to one of my favorite characters black widow but what you said is true 😑
Just remember, the cover of this issue also shows Taskmaster losing to Hyperion.
Comics are strange now
@@bronzgodzls4308 black widow is hella overrated
lol mfw you really dont know Tasky as much as you think you do.
I hate how they make BW OP, she's 110lbs, stop it
@@yarc9 I know, I just don't like it, marvel has interns locked away in the dark like the morlocks reading every comment, I'm helping
People forget she has a generic super soldier serum that enhances her but yeah I agree she doesn’t deserve a spot on the avengers too IMO, need heavy hitters defending the world not assassins
@@-AaronBlack- oh, nvm, I thought she was no powers like the movie or punisher, they sure love their serum origin shtick
@@-AaronBlack- thanks now it makes sense
@@-AaronBlack- but shouldn't she be all big and buff like how Steve got?
i thought taskmaster had trace amounts of a "type of super soldier serum" in him?
Batman destroy Superman, bullshit. If superman really wanted to kill Batman he'd be dead before he even knew what happened, the end!
Batman with a micro Kryptonite would turn Superman into his bitch.
He is just upset Superman is always beating the Hulk up in the actual comics. In almost all situations Superman wins vs Batman- it has been stated multiple times. Batman needs help and a lot of kryptonite.
@@AnantaNow Hahah its so obvious that a channel dedicated to the hulk would hate Superman like a nazi would hate a jew. Pathetic really
Yeah, if Superman ever wanted to kill Batman, all the planning and kryptonite in the world wouldn't save Bats. If Superman just flew into Batman at 1000MPH, Batman would be a smear long before the radiation from the kryptonite had time to affect Superman.
@@mortimerreid6766 not a huge Comic person but I don’t think it’s that deep. Nobody cares 😂
I think that's black cat on the next issue... silver hair and claw marks on the wall
White Fox.
I think that was Black Cat at the end cover
So now Hill taught Fury all his dirty tricks, BW is the best killer on earth, and Black Cat is kicking Taskmaster’s ass? Smh. Give me a break.
So of course Hyperion has some sort of kryptonite so the human character can win.
Forget Antonia dreykov this is the real one and I want to see this in the big screen
Tony masters>>> Antonia dreykov
As if Batman could ever beat Superman.
He did with Kryptonite and in alternate realities.
So you have never seen him beat sups? 😂😂
.
the idea black widow is so dangerous just kinda sucks in my opinion as shes a assassin not a soldier
At 1:53... is everything you showed before this point, something that happens later in the book?
Apparently I’m stupid because I thought the book started with what was shown at the beginning of the video.
He covers both issue 1 and 2 in this video. the Cover image at the start of the video is from issue #2
Bro, that's NOT Black Widow on the next issue...........it's Black Cat!....notice the claws?
No, she was White Fox lol
Hyperion , Sentry , and Juggernaut are all beefy jobbers because marvel comics doesn't want to have characters dying every issue so they throw in a character that can be a powerful beat stick around for a couple of pages.
Sentry just now got the jobber title
@@TheOldScoola yes but he "killed it" as a jobber for Knull, that defeat actually made me a fan of his now
Valentina Z lmao 😂
@@TheOldScoola I wouldn't consider losing to Knull as being a jobber though
WeaponXSigma he’s knull’s jobber but not anyone else’s
So there's more than one Hyperion I did not know that.
I thought this was going to turn to psychological warfare not physical combat
People only beat Superman because he holds back to much. It’s been stated countless times that Superman never uses his full power. Imagine if Superman went berserk like superboy does.
If only another cross over would happen and Superboy-Prime entered the Marvel universe. All hell would break loose.
Not really, Superman doesn’t hold back against guys like Darkseid or Doomsday, yet they can rough him up. Same goes for plenty of other characters...it’s just nowadays he’s the victim of PIS.
How did Taskmaster punch Hyperion in the comic store so hard that he actually had him bleeding?
He didn't punch Hyperion. That was Phil Coulson, who called for Hyperion's help while being punched.
That was coulson. He called hyperion after that
Yep
Dude, I’m seeing claws and part of a fury white tail. For me, two characters come to mind: Man-Wolf (John Jameson), and Hepzibah (female Mephitisoid, was a Starjammer). 🤔
I think that's White Fox, but hey all babes scratch don't they? lol
Anyone know are cyclop's optic blast = superman's heat vision? Wich one stronger?
well Superman’s heat vision is just that heat. If ur talking power as of right now we know power and precision cyclops and in terms of intensity Superman. But who knows he is Superman tomorrow he can shoot a beam that blowup the moon. Writers
Superman wins.
Namor :Eats Scott's optical blast point blank an beats his ass
Hyperion : chops Namors head off with a mere shot of heat vision
This should've answered this question from waaaay back.
@Heartattack 77 you saying optic blast has no heat? Than how charles fav tree got burn in x-men apocalypse?
@@alexferrana3979 i thought optic blast is same energi like havoc's since they are brothers
Task master is so entertaining
the entire setup is stupid! taskmaster is running from black widow, when he has taken down the entire avengers. wow!
I don't think it's black widow he's gonna be fighting next issue, cuz the girl has claws. Idk if black widow has claws now since it's been a while I haven't read comic's. Who else could it be if not her?
Looks like black cat with the hair and claws
Ami Han aka White Fox.
Eh, sounds like an ok story. But Taskmaster is no Batman. And Hyperion is an idiot and definitely beneath Superman.
This sums it up.. Just a homage of Superman and Batman possible fight.
I agree hyperion is trash in marvel future fight unless they do a character rework but i doubt it
@@djlaw56what but a god in mcoc
There are MULTIPLE Hyperions. And nobody said Taskmaster was Batman. Just that this is exactly what a physical fight between Batman would actually be like if Clark wanted to maim him.
@@GangstaStan010 I agree
Marvels making uber toons jobbers for awhile, they did it to Odin, thor, hyperion , Galactus, etc. Its sad.
Truth be told if superman ever wanted to kill batman it would be quick. Superman prime is an example No chance! He destroyed the justice league in multiple universes. Hyperion could have blown a hole thru taskmaster if he choose to.
Superman prime is an example No chance!
---
More like Supercrybaby Prime. Or Supertantrum Prime.
But he didn't, and Fury and Taskmaster knew he wouldn't. And Taskmaster pushed the plan even further by doing dumb things like throw a shield at an invulnerable God, or swipe a sword at him, or even dumber - lunge at him with his fists. All to mask the intention of setting up the kill shot that would take away Hyperion's Godhood and turn him into a meat sack. While the stronger person in a fight indeed is more likely attain victory, not all battles are won with raw power.
@@DoraKage You gotta forgive him, he's a DC fanboy. Mind you he's ok with ol'regular human ass Bruce Wayne becoming a god. because " he laughs". There's not much in the way of subtlety in how to impress DC fans. Critical thinking and grasp of main ideas is not their strong suit.
Example... Superman with a " Darkseid Arm". LMAO

That's not black widow on the next cover that's black cat
This is the hyperion from earth 13034 who's in earth 616? White Fox.
