Fly on snow - FMS Float assembly and installation

In this video I assemble and install floats on my FMS Ranger 1220 rc plane. The installation is similar to all FMS RC Planes.

Thanks for this helpful 'how to' video. I am wondering if it is a good idea to treat the bottom of the floats with something to prevent them from getting scratched and dented so much ? 🏴‍☠

Snow ranges from wet and slushy to dry and abrasive. I asked this question on an online forum. The answers varied but most favor putting a bit of packing tape on the floats.

They only dent on ice or when you land in trees..😂

On the Ranger and Kingfisher they are bare. The Cessna has a plastic cover on the bottom. I've only damaged the Ranger floats when I hit a tree. They still worked for many years on snow and water

Great video sir. I like to have a couple of planes on floats all the time but some people can't do that. Kingfisher and the arrows tecnum are mine. Thanks. Great educational video.

Technically, snow is water.
