    So for me, flight pack voltage is the most important telemetry information. I have been using the ticker tape to display the FP volts across the bottom of the main display for years, but I have to say, this is the best tip by far that I have come across in a long time. I also added altitude to the same button, so when the button is both pressed and let go, you get both call outs. Thanks so much for figuring this out and sharing it with all of us. 😁👍🏻🛩️ Larry

      Setting up the initial throws so you can fly the plane without crashing it is super important. Then after the maiden, you start to tweak. The issue with aerobatic planes with HUGE control surfaces is when I setup with too much throw and not enough expo. Makes for an unpleasant maiden.

      @@SteffenRC yeah, the whole “bigger flies better” and “balsa flies better” seems to ring true. The 84” Bushmaster is about as big as I can go given storage and transport (fuselage is about as long as the Yak), but for sport/3D 60” seems to be a sweet spot. I’m betting the 49” Laser will be great but more of a handful. I think my next one will be an Edge 540, and maybe I should measure the back of the vehicle to see if the fuselage for a 67” will fit 😀

    Looks like the captive nuts are already installed for the motor mounting plate? Is the motor you installed the only option? I have a Pilot 67" with Spektrum motor and its mounting plate holes were different to the assumed, wasnt a big problem because the captive nuts aren't installed. Is the motor you installed a simple plug and play? In the box is an AIM thing whatever that is, do you have to programme it, is it complicated?and do you have to solder all the connectors on?

    • @SteffenRC
      @SteffenRC 3 วันที่ผ่านมา

      The T-motor AM600 was a perfect fit for the existing holes and blind nuts installed in the firewall. I didn't need to mess with a thing. Except solder an XT90 to the included ESC. I didn't get the program module, but since the motor/esc were already setup for my need. (timing and 7.4v) that wasn't an issue either.

As I mentioned last video, use Epoxy next time. CA "works" but it is a lot more brittle, especially in cold weather and the strength doesn't even compare. Ironically if you watch EF's video to assemble the 67, they use epoxy.

    • @ModelAV8RChannel
      @ModelAV8RChannel 4 วันที่ผ่านมา

      The reason for CA is weight. They count grams at EF, which is why they make the best 3D/XA planes on the planet. On a 60" CA is fine, bigger than that epoxy all the way.

    • @5280Recreation
      @5280Recreation 4 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@ModelAV8RChannel Respectfully I disagree you could remotely tell the difference. The delta is insignificant unless you’re an absolute clown with the amount of Epoxy you’re using. There is likely more variation in the balsa LOL.

    • @ModelAV8RChannel
      @ModelAV8RChannel 3 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @5280Recreation So call and ask them. I'm friends with Ben Fisher from EF and we've talked at length about the design of their planes. That's the reason they gave me on the smaller planes (60 and below). There are a lot of little things that individually are insignificant but together make a difference I suppose. Hell, they compare and weigh different tail wheel types to save a few grams. Lol. Bottom line is it doesn't matter if you get one you can put it together with anything you want to. Will will tell you that while that is what they recommend... I told him that if it were me, I'd have used epoxy on the control horns for the elevator and rudder, but that he'd probably be fine with CA on a 60. EF has tested the crap out of these things with Pilots that stress them more than you or I do.

    Okay...if you review anything from Manscaped I'm outta here! 😬 Cool piece of kit. Just goes to show there is a solution for everyone. A portable generator for some, but they are noisy and a good one is very expensive. This isn't cheap either, but it is a quiet solution.

    Do you just remove one half wing to transport just picked one up this month.

    • @SteffenRC
      @SteffenRC 7 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I do. I take off the right wing, so it fits in the back of my truck with ease and speeds up the assembly a little. Its one of the best planes out there. Simply amazing and easy to fly/land.

    Dude you should totally be using 30 minute epoxy at least to install those control horns...Not CA glue... And also on that horizontal stabbed you're using thin CA where you should be using epoxy....Thats not really safe but I guess its your model you can do what you want to it.

    What an awesome time! Man where we live there aren't that many people in the state that can drive well enough to get to the field in the snow! Lol!! I love the air boat...wouldn't have been a complete day without an excursion into the pitts...

    What do you do when you're facing a brand new rtf transmitter breaks down. How about you do a video for new pilots who have to switch to a different transmitter?

    • @SteffenRC
      @SteffenRC 9 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Thats stinks.. Sorry you gotta go through that.. The FlySky stuff isn't top shelf. Its on the cheap end. So, you can either buy a new flysky TX or if you really like this Hobby, I'd look for a new or slightly used Spektrum NX8. Also, this time of year Swap meets are common. Great place to get a gently used TX. You'll need a new rx too. Good idea for a video. Will

    Your videos reminds me when I used to fly rc planes a lot. Whatever the weather was, I was out there flying. I flew high wings, 3D, jets, helis and got addicted to drones and fpv flying. It’s been about 9 years since I was really dedicated. Watching your vids makes me miss it. Overall nice flying sir. Maybe one day I’ll get whatever fleet I have left in the attic and go flying.

      Its a fun hobby for sure. I've been in and out of it several times. Hope you grab one of those planes, take it to your shop and start messing with it. Next thing, you'll order some new gear and start up again... Maybe??? Thanks for the comments and watching. Will

    We call this plane the Tomahawk and it's been around for a very long time, just not in this color. I call that style multi connecter an atari connector because its the same style the first Atari 2600 back in 1982 came out with. I watch most all the rc aircraft content creators on youtube but this is the first of your videos I have had pop up. I must say your intelligence level is a breath of fresh air because many of the folks that create rc content leave something to be desired in the intelligence department. I highly recommend switching out the battery connector for whatever type your batteries are rather than using adapters especially on a power sucking EDF.... They just create more resistance which means heat and heat means death for electronics. So good job sir!!!! If that plane were mine I would paint the canopy gloss black.... One more thing I feel like if you're flying in EDF you should spring for whatever money it cost to do telemetry for your batteries because you just need that with an EDF because you never know how bad a battery is going to sag with that EDF....They really draw the amperage man and put a hurting on your lipos....

    • @SteffenRC
      @SteffenRC 9 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Thomas, Thanks for the kind words. Really appreciate it. I remember spending hours on my buddies Atari in the early 80's. What a great time to be a kid. Thanks for the flashback. My understanding is this Integral and the Futura were both designed by Tomahawk. Interesting designs that fly very well. This plane is no longer in my hanger. (a buddy is enjoying it now...). I'm with you, NOT a fan of adapters. Especially in AMP hungry EDFs. I've used them, but usually on review planes I'm not going to keep. You comments about Intelligence would be strongly debated against by my wife..... Thanks Will
