Thank you... :)
Just keep posting!
My wife just had a baby so, I'm on a small break at the moment. Got 5-6 bikes waiting though. Some more content soon. :)
Thats a good yorkshire accent is that. Commenting for algorithm ✌
Aye. From Batley, West Yorkshire.
Just like mine with the same colour '98 year but different fork suspension and drivetrain with an XT m750. Thats awesome brother 👍
Thank you. 😊
Cracking job
Thank you. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Sweet! Let's see a rip on that unit! I have a 92 specialized single track that I've been modernizing. Fun stuff
Thank you. I will sort the brakes out at some point and do a video. From the little rest ride I managed, it felt great!
Great job! its amazing how light a completely stripped alloy frame is
It weighed practically nothing. Tbh, It's not a heavy bike built up.
Just came across your vlog and you have a new subscriber.
I got into mountain biking way back in 1985 and have had about 25 bikes since.
Really enjoyed that. Cheers
My first mtb, if that's what you could call it was in 1988. A bright yellow 10 speed Emmelle... it weighed an absolute ton!..
It didn't last long but that spurred on a 30+ year love of mountain bikes.
I'm glad you enjoyed it. 🙂
Well done! 👏👏 I must admit I’m a wee bit jelly. I have the same bike, it’s yellow. I’m also not as fast as you, but I completed my first rear derailleur, clutch , pulley’s, chain restoration and installation. Also front derailleur restoration/ installation hydraulic breaks /pads & disks. I’ve never been thought how to do these just watched helpful TH-cam videos like yours. I still need a bit more knowledge on minor things, but I’m glad a success was the out come of me loving tools and thinkering with stuff! Thanks, look forward to more videos! Irene M-
Thank you. I have a new series of videos coming soon which will be a little bit more tutorial.
Nice one mate. I do the exact same… i love going into the details of the bike and doing the bit extra that others miss!
Thank you. I'm hoping to have a new video up this weekend. Keep an eye out for that :D
10 speed with sweet components and a wide ranging cassette definitely. I want to find one of these frames from 2000 or 2001.
It has changed since the video. I have matching Mavic D521's in grey and Deore 1x9 11-42 cassette. I've also added some Swalbe Marathon tyres. I was going to use it for work but, I bought a new Boardman ADV 8.9. My Boardman is an amazing bike. I absolutely love riding it!
I have a 2000 specialized s works m4 frame, size 19 inch for sale.
@@dannyjamison8337 what are you asking for it, how banged up is it and what color? M4 very nice.
@@thomassciaroni6942 it's a red hard tail, original paint and graphics, very good condition (a couple scratches, and small gouges on the drive side chain stay, which I smoothed out with sandpaper). I would like to get $350.
Great vid thanks
Thank you Craig! :D Bring your Nomad down anytime!
Fellow bike enthusiast here myself…. Love your videos… Just curious if you have video of that Cannondale in your opening montage?? Keep up the good work & love to see more videos… Thank you from NJ…
Sadly, I don't. There's loads of bikes I wish I had videos of their transformations.
What size is your frame and do you know how to read the SN on the Left dropout?
Didn't knew we can reuse a chain without quick link.
Also, how good are the Avid brake levers compared to the cheap ones we find on these old bikes, like I have a Promax on my cheap GT Avalanche.
I've not ridden it properly yet. I've had too much going on to ride lately but this bike is going to go through a little bit of a change to make it into a commuter bike.
Back in the day before quick links, we pretty much connected chains like this.
Nice build man! I have the same exact frame with 2x8 setup. Whats the highest single chainring you could put in this frame? I was planning on 1x conversion. Thanks!
Thank you!.. it all depends on the cassette you're using and if you're planning on riding up, and down hills. It's all about finding an happy balance that works for you. I'm switching all that 9 speed for a larger range 10 speed cassette and maybe a slightly smaller chainring.
