Scykoh, you mentioned that you didn't know the difference between red and green piranha plants. Red piranha plants are faster, BUT they also pop up regardless of how close you are to the pipe, unless you're stannding on top of them.

Just had some flashbacks to when I played through Lost Levels in Super Mario Bros. Deluxe back in the day. 7-2 and 7-3 were the first real brick walls I hit, so I'm not surprised that those ones kicked your rear as well. World 8 levels are a bit tricky as well; I remember 8-2 being particularly rough.
that is amazing how you knew that the coin counter is where mario drops in 7-3. Makes the stage a little less infamous

Something I found out while playing this game on an emulator, if you keep pushing left while the wind is blowing right, you actually go through obstacles. I don't think you can exploit this, but try it out for yourself if you don't believe me.

So to get the extra worlds, you need to beat every level, you can't use a warp(bonus areas are fine just don't skip to later worlds), so the way Scykoh is playing he will just end up starting the extra worlds.
Sounds a bit like playing Cuphaed. It takes you forever to beat a boss but when you *FINALLY* do beat one it feels soooooo satisfying. You feel like you could conquer the world and beat the game;......until you get to the next boss and immediately get stuck again.........or when you get to the next Run 'N' Gun. >:(}

Scykoh by the time you got to world 8 you had over 15 game overs. By the time I got there I had over 15 lives. But only because I was able to hold onto a fire flower for the most part. You’d be better off holding onto the fire flower too because enemies and fire bars seem to be your demise more so than the platforming. But then World 7 happened...
I remember 7-3 being the hardest level in the entire game. It's repeated somewhere in the ABCD levels, too.
Eric that level is repeated on level c-3 and made it even worst

I don't remember this game being so difficult when I was younger. I always heard about how difficult it was, but I swear I didn't have much trouble with it. Playing today, I realize I was either a god at Mario or I was delusional.
