Love how the distance of these holes is measured in years. I would be very cautious of listening to swing tips from the comments section. The only swing advice you should be taking is from a professional in a lesson environment. Telling a high handicapper they need to swing from the inside, or you are too steep and things like this will not improve your game. Remove the stress in your game, swing free and easy and that ball will fly off the 5iron, with almost no swing changes. Golf is all about confidence, look at the first tee shot and how happy you are with it. If you can do it once, you can do it multiple times my friend. Get some drills off your coach for range sessions and spend some time chipping and putting on the practice facilities! You'll get there, I was here too when I started my golf journey about 13 years ago.

much better 👍when you flush the 5 iron it goes really nice the 7th hole par 5 was great, on the green in 3 shots. it's the problem playing in winter its all bumpy and slow, especially those greens. But great effort 👌😁 keep up the good work.
Mate try not to come over so steep on the down swing that's causing you to slice the ball need to get the clubface square on get a empty golf ball pack and practise hitting that square on will improve the ball striking
Just started taking Golf seriously myself and the best thing you can do is video your shots like this and replay in slow motion. I noticed that you are doing the exact same thing on the downswing as I was and still am a little - Downswing is too steep basically and although you will hit some good shots occasionally, it really messes with consistency. Try to shallow the downswing much more to help. Some great videos on this on youtube as it is such a common issue. Keep posting! Interesting to see how you progress as I am on a similar trajectory.
You're very good with the irons,did you ever try utility irons? You've distance, direction and you have feel. Take no notice of others on course,do your own game. I use a trainer like the orange whip or gold flex,it'll improve tempo and technique. Well done and enjoy

Get another club out of your bag and put near your feet. Stand where you are taking your shot, then put the club by your toes, take your shot then step back and have a look where your club is pointing. When I used to hit the ball left or right quite a bit I tried this and found that I was standing facing away from the target. If you are facing away from the target you will hit the ball away from the target, so when you hit a ball to the left or right you are actually hitting the ball straight, and it is just your aim that is wrong. When people are on the range they normally hit the ball fairly well because they are lining their feet up with the edge of the mat. Best of luck.

Lovely to see some real golf so people can see that not everyone is a pro. I would say your ball seems way in front of you and you swing abit wide. But best thing to do would get some lessons so you can get the advice from a professional who can analyze your swing and correct it for you. Good luck. Hey mate, love the video. Dont wanna be that person giving you all the annoying advice but id just say take a look at ur swing with a wedge that you tend to hit well off the fairway then your longer irons/ driver. The wedges you swing shorter, which takes out of play that big move you do near the top of your back swing where you move the club over the top. Your driver since you swing it further back accentuates that over-the-top move as the swing is longer. No matter the technicals seems you have a good time when your out there, that's all that matters in the end. Keep it up !

Hi mate your swing looks like mine before I had lessons, I can see that you're casting your club on the downswing which causes all sorts of contact issues. At the driving range put something about 5-10cm behind the ball (as you're facing it) so it forces your swing to be more inside and the difference is remarkable trust me.

I know the old don't listen to comments thing is good advice, but worth asking your instructor to look at this video and if you're too far from the ball on your irons? looks like a driver setup to me, where you setup your address looks perfect, then you "reach" for the ball... could be worth asking him anyway. I'm no expert so pinch of salt. Great video, wish I could do this but I can only play on super busy courses at weekends, no time to film

I would be very cautious of listening to swing tips from the comments section. The only swing advice you should be taking is from a professional in a lesson environment. Try using your 58degree from around the greens instead of your pitching wedge. You will get more loft instead of blading the wedge.
