Good video. I would recommend you to do a half takeaway and it has helped me shorten my swing. You will be surprised how much distance/accuracy you can get by just swinging back half way.

Hole 2 putt was insane. I haven't played for a couple of months and the course was so bad the ball just tunnelled underground every time it hit the fairway. I have ended up finding other things to do (skate and snooker) but you have made me want to find time for golf again! Good to see you back

Nice to see you back buddy! It looks like the lay off has done you good. You seem to be hitting the ball straighter and your putting was better. Ive only just started playing again i had 7 months off. The courses round here have been closed or just a mud bath. Carry only as well and i dont carry my back doesn't like it lol. By the way on the 12th where you were hacking at that ball in the rough you can declare your ball unplayable and drop sideways 2 club lengths for a one shot penalty. I hope to see more of your vids now the weather is getting better (slightly) 😊 ⛳️🏌‍♂️

Nice video mate. I did notice though that you tend to be overswinging with your driver and did a freeze frame of where you were which was a great position and where you went to which was an overswing and why I think you lost control. Unfortunately I can't post those pics on here but I could on facebook but the link won't work. I wrote a reply but it seems to have disappeared. This seems to happen a lot on here for some reason. I think the overswing might be caused by relaxing the grip on the left hand and then the right hand takes over whereas ideally both hands should work as one unit but the left hand is the key to control (Rory is a good one to watch as he works on this). I have an idea your little finger might be coming off the grip slightly at the top so as an exercise you could try taking the right little finger off the grip completely when you swing to strengthen the left hand grip to stop that left pinkie coming away and see if that makes a difference because it looks as if the overall grip is tightening on the way down which affects the fluidity of the swing or just work on having a slightly stronger left hand. If you are under the watchful eye of a pro they can definitely help you better than I but that's what it looks like. Otherwise with really minor adjustments the rest is really pretty good. The take away is fine and the position at the top is great but for that overswing part and on the way down you need to bring the right knee more into it as the right leg is a little straight. That driving of the right knee into the straightening left leg is fairly vital but it comes with practice. You might benefit from widening the stance a little on your approach shots for better balance as well. Like I said, very minor adjustments and a bit of practice and you could see your handicap very seriously tumble. That would be great to see!

Keep at it bro, you will get better. And you’re not getting any loft on your iron long shots. Try taking your long irons of the back foot, so your a bit in front of the ball. You will strike it better and get that extra loft. Good luck buddy.

I've recently taken up golf and having lessons and I can empathise with your frustration but that's' what makes it fascinating, bravo for showing the honest reality of learning to golf and keep up the great work on these videos and I'll keep watching as you improve....and hopefully so do I!

I'm new to golf so it's great to see there's others working on their game.

I was doing quite well on the simulators over the winter, but am doing really badly once started outdoors. I top the ball, I slice it, I even miss it. On the simulators, I do well with most clubs, and the driver was one of my best. But today, I only hit the driver well once. Any suggestions? Thank you!

sorry to bug u but some shots when u swing i can see your going over swing on top of your head try not to overswing on top of your head and make it more better at hitting for u

Top tip , not sure if you know but your alignment is out, your set up is aiming well right of target and to correct it you are pulling across the ball to the left which will make you pull badly left or hit a slice , to correct put a club on the floor on target line and set up from there 😉

Thanks for video. Keep up the hard work. I've had problems with losing grip of club and have focussed on ensuring the last 2 fingers are holding on. I akso recommend Sam Jarman's book 'The 3 principles of outstanding golf' - a great read that sheds light on our thought process on the course and life philosophy in general 👍

What am noticing mate and by any means a pro, you are coming over the top way to much and hacking at the ball when you get to the top of your back swing tuck that right arm Into your side and rotate through, the is plenty of videos on here how to fix your trail arm

You swing across your line which is causing you to stand up to try to get room for the club to straighten up. Its causing all of your issues.
