Scuba Diving on Gili Air With Blue Marlin Dive
Upon arriving in Lombok, we embarked on a journey to the idyllic Gili Archipelago. We caught a taxi north to a bay that overlooked the archipelago, and from there, we took a boat to the island of Gili Air. There are no motorised taxis on Gili Air. With our dive gear in tow, we loaded the girls onto a cart and headed towards the Blue Marlin Dive Centre. As the cart couldn't accommodate all of us, I opted to walk across the island, taking in the stunning scenery that surrounded me. Despite the initial setback, locating the dive centre was a breeze, thanks to the clear signposting. Overall, our journey to Gili Air proved to be a memorable adventure, and we couldn't wait to explore all that the island had to offer.

The accommodations were quite pleasant, offering good value for our money, and the breakfast was delightful. While the organization of the dive boat, especially during the return journeys, could be somewhat chaotic, it was a minor issue compared to the overall experience. The staff's exceptional friendliness truly stood out. Having stayed at this dive center twice, we would gladly return for another visit."
