  • So you finally have a multi-needle embroidery machine! Just when it seems like everything is going smoothly, you try digitizing and embroidering on caps/hats... What now?
    Join John in this segment of embroidery medic where he takes a look at a design sent in by a member of our Facebook group. While the original embroidery design is certainly well made, John dives deep into theory on how to achieve better digitizing results by avoid trims, jumps, and lowering your stitch count resulting in a faster design run time. If you want to digitize on caps and don't know where to start this is the perfect tutorial for you.
    Thanks for watching!

    John, thanks so much for the great video. The column edge run hint and the manual letter run under the satin stitch are great tips!

    Thank you for this video; I really enjoy watching and listening to the way you work your way through a design. I have never tried to digitise a design for a hat (have enough trouble digitising on the 'flat') and it was fasinating watching the design stitch out. My machine is a basic single needle home embroidery machine and I do not have the attachment for hats. Thank you

    Do you really digitize by drawing in all 10,000 stitches by hand! That's crazy impressive. How does that work with designs that are stiching out photos with people or landscapes? Also, would you suggest using Hatch or the commercial Wilcom software for an apparel/embroidery business?

    • @EmbroideryLegacy
      @EmbroideryLegacy  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Rory Cassel only did the stars one stitch at a time, the rest was manually digitized using tools within the software... I’m not that “old-school” :)
      With regards to Hatch vs E4, I’d make the decision based on price point and needs. I do have both and can digitize most designs just as quickly with the same quality results with Hatch as my E4. The design in the video was done using Hatch.

    Thanks so much. This is why I bought Hatch..there are enough training videos to get going. Other brands do not offer this amount of training , especially if you have learn how to do this without courses available where you live!

    About filling the ditch in the center of the hat, what if the logo is not a circle? If it is a Nike or SAMSUNG logo, do you still fill in the ditch? If yes, how do you fill in the ditch? Thank you.
